Fantastic company that listens to its customers

My second seat lead/restraint, after buying my first on one I emailed PlayPaw to say that it didn’t fit round my camper van headrest and they said they would look into making a longer one. To my delight that is exactly what they did and I now have my dog Coco safety secured in the camper van and the car. PlayPaw are great company, I would highly recommend them.

Adjustable Car Safety belt…

I ordered Adjustable Car Safety belt and it was delivered day after, great service. Just clip it to the dog harness (not a collar) just as playpaw says . Delighted with this product

You may have to wait longer than 9 days

I too ordered a pet fountain and did not receive it within the advertised 5 - 9 days. This company is a reseller for Chinese imports. Update 02/04/22: Thanks, but really could have done without the hassle over such a trivial thing. I see the website has been updated to say they are out of stock. A bit late for me. Update 05/04/22 Day 16. Playpaw think that they did not send me the order and are looking into it. I think they may be right. Update 06/04/22 Playpaw sent another email to tell me it had arrived at Heathrow. Today the order arrived and I am very pleased with the item. Just wish they could be upfront about the delivery times. I wasn't expecting to be waiting three weeks. Always set the customers expectations and you will get less bad reviews.

BASED IN AUSTRALIA,SENT FROM CHINA & THEY ARE BULLYING & HARASSING ME

5/4/2022:Emails traced to Sydney, Australia. Police involved as email received threatening to kill my cat, they have my address & are continuing to harass me. (Trust Pilot have seen the evidence).
25/3/2022: Item postage labels are all from China and definitely not EU, nor UK. They lied.
All information on their website more than suggests that the company and its warehouse are in the UK.
In fact, they actually say that they are based in London with a UK warehouse. The shopping is free to UK customers, the email address is .co.uk as is the website, the phone number has a UK area code, they use Royal Mail.
Now I find out that the items are shipped from outside of the UK!
I don't purchase items from outside of the UK for ethical reasons and would not have bought anything from PlayPaw if I had known that this would be the case.
The tracking wasn't updated for a week and now I know why. I ordered on 13th March and the tracking now states that the item was put on a plane yesterday! The delivery time clearly has nothing to do with Covid and everything to do with lying about the country of origin, which I now believe to be China.
No wonder it is taking so long. The website also has conflicting information on delivery times. 4-10 days and 4-15 days. I ordered 2 other items from UK companies on the same day that I ordered from PlayPaw, and both were here within the week.
This company lies. I wish I had looked at TrustPilot reviews before purchasing, and not at the reviews on their website. When a company doesn't show any bad reviews you should be suspicious. Lesson learnt.
Edit: The response below reads very differently from the email I just received from the company:
"I am glad you have seen our Trustpilot reviews, you might notice that the majority of them are positive and within good reason.
Some people will never understand our service and feel the need to rant, which is totally understandable, but let me please correct a few things.

The text underneath the UK shipping says in rare circumstances we ship from our supplier when we are low in stock in our UK warehouse.
We also have an EU warehouse where we ship from which takes roughly an additional 5 days to get to customers.
Our product page for the Pureflow states 4-10 days and you should be regularly updated via emails on the whereabouts of your order.

As we have shipped your product we are unable to provide a refund at this point, however, if you are unhappy with the product or service when it arrives you are entitled to ship it back to our UK warehouse for a full refund.

Please be mindful that we don't source our products through unethical practices.
We have been working with our suppliers for years and we too don't want to support such activities.

Playpaw only sources the highest quality products and we are always looking at ways to improve our products, such as developing our safety belt v2, dog washer v2 and more relative to your order a pureflow v2 soon!

This being said we will honour your wishes and provide the return details once received, and we would sincerely appreciate the Trustpilot review be taken down once we have accommodated your needs." Apparently I'm not allowed to use the person's name who sent this!

I asked for a refund because they've lied about country of origin. They refused unless I send back the item that still hasn't arrived. The item that is not being delivered from the UK.
I replied but there isn't enough room here to paste it.
I will not take his review down as it IS factual.
I also rarely buy new items, and only buy ethically when I do, but chose to buy from this company as they appeared to be UK based. All I wanted was to make my dying cat's life easier in her final days.
Instead, I get lied to, called a liar, patronised and bullied in to removing a factual review because apparently customers "rant".
The airport the item has been sent from is in China. CTU is the abbreviation for Chengdu airport in China. CTU airport is on the tracking information. Correct me if I'm.wrong but China IS NOT IN THE EU!!!!
What a disgusting way to run a company.
I believe this company to be running from Australia with items made in and dispatched from China.
Reported the company to Trading Standards.
I was told by PlayPaw that I have mental health issues and need help!

Well ladies and gentlemen, I have been fair throughout this entire ordeal however Trustpilot are too gutless to properly investigate these claims, instead we have a partronising and dishonest customer who is doing everything in her power to bring a small business down.

But allow me to summarise:
* Natasha bought a Pureflow water fountain from us on the 13th of March and this was shipped immediately.

* When she knew it was taking longer she investigated, and to her disbelief she noticed it was coming from China when she "apparently" has ethics towards buying items from China. She was quick to bash us on Trustpilot without even contacting us first.

* When queried with us (if you can call it that) we explained that when we are low on stock in our UK warehouse we ship from our other warehouses or direct from our supplier, however if it does come from China it is shipped express, meaning the customer will still receive it within the period outlayed on our website (thus we are transparent with our services).

* This was delivered on the 25th of March, and although not quite as fast as we would like due to a new wave of Covid in China, it still arrived within 10 business days as outlined on our website. This did not stop Miss Baldock from having a huge rant both here and via email.

* Despite our best efforts to explain our service and prove that we warehouse in the UK, she claimed, "I will do everything in my best efforts to destroy your business", aswell as claiming to report us to many different authorities.

* We offered to take the fountain back to our UK warehouse to honour her strong values against Chinese labour, however this was ignored and she decided keep the fountain (slightly hypocritical if you ask me).

* Then in an effort to appease the consumer and prove of our UK warehousing, we sent out a free "gift", a cat massage comb, which was shipped on the 1st and arrived on the 6th (not quite sure why as our services usually deliver within 48 hours), and she has kept this comb without a word...

* Even to this day we have offered many apologies, a free gift AND a full refund on her order (while she keeps the fountain) but she would rather invest her time into bringing us down.

Worthy of a 1 star review? You make up your own mind.

There you can see her efforts to forge information to suit her vindictive nature against my business. We have not threatened her and I am within my right mind to press charges for forgery and falsification of information to try and bring our business down. And over what I might add? A fountain that took 12 days to arrive in which she kept anyway?

You can see based off this and her other previous reviews for other businesses that the consumer is miserable, vindictive, playing victim and doing what she can to ruin things for other businesses.

She has been reported to Trading Standards and various other Small Business groups to flag her and blacklist her as a consumer. I know the "customer" always comes first and they are always right, but at some point we need to stick up for ourselves and out people like this.

I still stand by the fact we said she needs mental help and these types of people should be removed from Trustpilot.

I am also shaming Trustpilot for this as it is quite clear the lengths we have gone to improve the service for this customer and thus still leave this review up.

This is not a true reflection of the service received, it is very very biased, full of lies, and all it does is bash a company, it offers no value to anyone.

Hello Tash, I am sorry to hear of your experience thus far.

We actually warehouse both in the UK and EU, and when we are short on stock in our UK warehouse we ship from our other warehouse which is about 5 days dearer.

We ship out direct from our suppliers only in rare circumstances when we have low stock, where it is reminded that we shall still have orders arrive within the time specified on our website.

I am happy to prove our UK warehousing if it will put your mind at ease.

As for items only being updated on the tracker as of yesterday I will need to look at your order to find out where the issue was.

Despite alternative warehouses most of our orders are still delivered within a week. If it was a custom harness you had ordered this would take an additional 4 days.

We will try and make things up to you for your lost time and improve your experience, and in good time hope that these false accusations will be amended.

Edit: We have offered a customer to return the item at no expense to them for a full refund.

The response has been simply to point the finger, call us liars and told us to "f*ck off", and they will do "everything in their power to destroy our business".

We really don't understand why people like this are allowed on trustpilot when their mission is just to try and bring small businesses down.

It's been tough on a lot of us over the last couple of years throughout the pandemic and stuff like this simply doesn't help.

My first order from PlayPaw

This was the first time I had bought anything from PlayPaw. The car harness is great and the stretch in the middle good as my dog can stand , sit, or lie down without any problem. It is also very strong. It arrived earlier than said and I am very happy with my purchase. Thank you. Isobel Williamson.

Lovely, snuggly bed - pup loves it!

After a rocky start with shipment delays and a ripped seam, I received a replacement bed which my pup absolutely adores.

The product itself looks great and is certainly appreciated by my pup. All communication was friendly and professional. Queries were responded to promptly and politely.

Long delivery times but prompt communication

I received order 7 weeks after ordering. The website says delivery is 4-15 days after ordering but the product was shipped from China, which I wasn't happy about as I made a point of ordering from a UK website. Phone number is not manned. However a gift arrived to apologise for poor service so Playpaw are trying their best.

Flappy fish

Very happy with the flappy fish my cat loves it.only negative is that the item was sent from China,not a big problem but I could have bought one for a couple of pounds more in UK and had it a week earlier.its not made clear on site that it is not a UK shipped product.however I really can't fault the item.

Very happy customer!

Finally a very nice looking fountain that my two kitties like to use. We had several fountains before so I am quite experienced. It’s well made, it has a nice blue light and most importantly it is really easy to keep clean. The customer service is extremely responsive and helpful. Definitely recommended! 😀😀

Don’t be fooled, not local, shipped from China

I ordered on the 15 Jan, and am still waiting. The company poses as a UK company, but the orders are shipped from China. Had I known, I would have ordered elsewhere from someone more local.
I have just looked through the latest 5 star reviews, of which there are many in a short space of time, and looking at the slightly odd grammar and phrasing, my guess is that perhaps they might not be genuine. Check out Brian Parsons and Maria Brown’s, just 1 day before this. Both identical, both dreadful grammar and so I have 'flagged' them to Trustpilot.
Customer Service are very quick to answer my queries, however, I’ve been told another 4-6 days, even though my latest update email give me a Royal Mail 48hr tracking number.
Let’s see what quality the cat beds are when they arrive.

We are a UK company, however with in-demand products that become out of stock, we ship directly from our suppliers, which can result in a longer wait time, but as it's express, it's usually within 9 days.
In this case, I can see that yours has taken longer than that, but I sincerely hope the beds were of the quality you expected when they arrived :)

Since then, we have sent out a couple of our v2 safety belts as free gifts to try and make up for this experience, and these were delivered within two days! I hope this shows what we're about and how we go above and beyond to make things right with our customers.

Furthermore, I hope it highlights the quality of our items and this has improved your experience with us :)

Company of Thieves

I bought an item back in October 2021 for which I paid a total of £30, I missed delivery and received a Royal Mail card that it was going back to the local depot. I was never well enough to go and collect the item which I understand is then sent back to the company. I have contacted them several times for a refund and they just kept telling me I should have requested a return label to send it back... I contacted them again on December 23rd and they replied that they cannot give me a refund because I refused delivery. They also do not disclose anywhere on their website that items are shipped from China not the UK

To clarify, not all our goods are shipped directly from our supplier. This only occurs when we are low on stock, in this case, the fountain, however via express line means that it generally arrives within the 4-9 day period listed on our website.

To make up for this inconvenience, we have both refunded you for your order and provided you with a small gift, our massage comb for you and your kitty.

As you can see, this was delivered within one day from our UK warehouse, and we really hope you have enjoyed this.

PlayPaw has, after 11 months decided to post a comment about my review.

Let me make it crystal clear. PlayPaw are correct in stating that my order was delivered in the 8 days they state. However what PlayPaw fails to mention is that this was only part of my order and it took over 25 days to deliver the remainder of the order from China.
The business I purchased from was definitely PlayPaw and there is absolutely no mistake or confusion on my part regarding this.
I received 2 (not 1) unsolicited Pet Hair Eliminators from PlayPaw however I consider these to be inducements as they came with a request to change my 1 star review to something more positive. I declined to do so and asked PlayPaw to collect the unwanted Pet Hair Eliminators which they refused to do. After the 28 days (per Trading Standards guidelines) I disposed of these unwanted, unsolicited items.

Finally, my review has been verified by Trustpilot which means I have provided evidence to support my comments (including the aggressive, bullying emails received from PlayPaw asking me to change my review). I have also reported PlayPaw to Trading Standards and Citizens Advice.

Awful experience, I’d give 0 stars if I could. I’d love to say the products are great but I haven’t yet received everything I ordered on 22/11/21. Maximum delivery time per their T&Cs is 15 working days and today, 25 working days later, I still haven’t had my order fulfilled.
The business refuses to refund me despite breaching their own conditions of sale.
They claim (yet again) the outstanding item will be with me in a few more days, won't cancel the order and refused to provide details on how to return the item and obtain a refund.
So if you don’t want to wait months in the hope your order turns up do yourself a favour and buy from another company.

Looking at your tracking, I believe your order was delivered within eight days. I believe there has been some confusion surrounding this order, or may have been an entirely different business?

Refunded my money quickly

Bought two cat beds. Problem was my cat immediately on opening up package started to bite the stringy bits so wasn’t suitable for him. Followed instructions to return and received my refund.

I finally received the floppy fish…and wish I hadn't bothered

I finally received the floppy fish ordered for my puppy. It didn't work. I charged it, it lasted flapping about for 10 seconds then went dead. Tried this a total of 3 times with the same result. I emailed this .Co.uk company to complain who agreed I must have received faulty goods and to send a video of my "dead" fish......I just want my money back. Total waste of time, my money and the wait.

The order number is not recognised 27872 and I haven't got the time or inclination to play back and forth with Playpaw which is apparently (.co.uk)

Update: TP asked me to verify this purchase which I have done. My review is fair in that the goods are faulty and I am seeking a refund. I would not be happy to accept a replacement. I provided video evidence as asked but communication from Playpaw stopped so I escalated my dissatisfaction.
23 December update:
No, Playpaw I have not received a refund despite providing video evidence the fish simply does not work. I will reluctantly offer benefit of doubt and accept a replacement due to the reluctance to refund me for faulty goods, but should you wish to do this and the free replacement fails to function I hope a refund will be expedited. To be honest, it may be best a line is drawn under this now and a refund forthcoming for the original purchase and we end any further communication.

This week April 4th I received an email from PP asking me to remove my review. They have offered me a "gift" to do so.

Today 6/3/22 TP have emailed me to say Playpaw believes my review belongs to another company, not them, and again, would I verify my review is factual and correct to TP which I complied with. I did supply TP with original evidence I was indeed dealing with Playpaw and my review was factual. What on earth is going on Trustpilot?

Useless customer service.

Update on 21/12

After a very long time, I finally got a working pump. Unfortunately, I do not recommend this company, despite the fact that it works well now. However, the experience with customer service meant that I am not motivated to buy again at PlayPaw.

Initial review:
I have ordered a PlayPaw PureFlow, which was delivered after almost two weeks. I think it's my fault that I assumed that the company is based on products made in England because they advertise themselves as family business. However, what I got is a cheap Chinese product that doesn't work. I wrote to the company and asked for my money back or for a pump to be sent back working. After exchanging a few emails and sending a lot of pictures to prove that the pump did not work, Cheska, who handled my complain, stopped replying. I definitely do not recommend this company.
