PlayPaw experience update

Just an update to my previous review. Playpaw challenged my TrustPilot review and have relentlessly pestered me regarding the defective and poor quality FloppyFish that I bought. While they have offered a replacement and say they want to discuss my experience, they have consistently refused to publish the review I wrote on their website. This will presumably be the reason for all their reviews being five stars. This is completely dishonest practice and I urge anyone thinking about it not to purchase from them. As I said previously, the Floppy Fish is very poor quality. In particular, the battery compartment, being secured only by Velcro, would be easily accessed by any dog with a strong chew and this could lead to serious injury.

I am sorry to hear about your experience with the Floppy Fish.
At PlayPaw, we are always looking to improve our products to create not only a fun and bonding experience between owner and pet but also one that is considered safe.

The PlayPaw Floppy Fish is currently v2.0, which is both upgraded material from the first (Oxford Material which is strongest for dog toys), a stronger and longer lasting battery, and a silicone molded case to protect the inner working components from our little fluffy friends :)
This is most certainly not a low-quality product, it is actually the best one you will find on the market right now, and we pride ourselves on it!

That being said, there are a few dogs with extremely sharp teeth or a serious tendency to rip all toys to shreds, and unfortunately, sometimes, we can't match each and every dog's tendencies.

We have noted everything you said, and in addition, we have refunded you for your Floppy Fish in the hopes we can better your experience with us :)

Floppy Fish in bits after 15 mins

I ordered a Floppy Fish for my 8-month old cockapoo and she loved it, but in less than 15 mins she'd torn it to little shreds! This is not a say toy and I'll require a full refund (I've just emailed customer support, hopefully this will be taken care of without any fuss). What a disappointment!

AVOID COMPANY

After complaining about not receiving my ONE product and NOT being able to return another as they will not send a returns note, the company promising a refund back in July, I am now being told they will refund me IF I remove my negative trust pilot review!!!!! I have this on email and am happy to provide proof, so please do not take THIS review down. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!!
Edit- your warehouse is up and running? No you haven’t been in touch and YOU STILL HAVENT REFUNDED ME FOR THE ITEM NOT RECEIVED!!!! please don’t put false claims on here. You are a scam.

Quality customer service

Excellent and fun updates on my order. I needed to change my item as the size was too big, customer service was quick, friendly and in a word EXCELLENT. Will buy from them again.

Took a while to come and there is…

Took a while to come and there is nothing wrong with them but the bowls are too close together for my cats. I use them as feeding bowls only as I use a water fountain separately so for me they’re not ideal but they are good quality so I wouldn’t put anyone off buying them.

A very satisfied fur baby...

Simba has taken to the cat cave bed- he is usually so finicky. The quality of the products is excellent. Well Done PlayPaw for such a creative approach to products, customer service and use of digital support/tracking! A massive thanks from us.

Harness

Ordered and received no pull harness. Certainly better quality than previous purchases from other sites. Only issue name plates were blank. They have said there's was a problem and will send them on ASAP.

Orthopedic Anti-vomiting Cat bowl station

I ordered the Orthopedic Anti-vomiting Cat Bowl station & two additional bowls. The product is competitively price & extremely well made. There was a slight delay in delivery & the company kept me informed regularly. They have amusing emails & I would recommend them. I've had raised bowls in the past, but they were just elevated off the floor. These are elevated & tilted. I bought clear bowls & they clean very easily.

Genuinely terrible — Avoid

Genuinely terrible experience. PlayPaw is marketed as a UK-based business with a co.uk website address, but orders are shipped from a warehouse in Dongguan, China and take a really long time to arrive through a delivery company called YunExpress.

Not impressed at all.

Trustpilot has also failed to do its job properly by providing said details.

We are a UK-based business that warehouses in the UK; however, in-demand products may be purchased directly from our supplier when we are low on stock and shipped via our express line (this is no ordinary budget line).

This line will deliver products within 4-7 days which still meets our 4-9 day deadline as promised on all our products on the website :)

I hope this clears up any confusion and that you loved our product.

Can be difficult to contact customer services

Ordered goods never arrived, attempted to contact by telephone, left voicemails, sent multiple emails without any replies!
I understand that orders can go missing in transit but to have no way of contacting the company is just not on.

Updated
Finally received my order.
When the customer service team did get in touch they were very efficient and understanding.
Has gone some way in returning my faith in this company.

Absolutely PAWFUL !

Bought the Cat Fountain which was not in stock.Paid for Priority shipping - took over 3 weeks to arrive as it came from China. After contacting the company I was issued a shipping refund. The fountain then stopped working after 4 days of use. Again, contacted the company and was given a full refund. A very disappointing experience.Please note; the exact fountain available on Ebay for £10.79.

I am sorry to hear about your experience with our PureFlow.
I had a look at your tracking and believe that it took just under two weeks to deliver :)

We only ship directly from our suppliers when our items are out of stock in our UK warehouse, and they usually take less than nine days to deliver via our express line.

In this case I apologise that it took longer, especially since you paid priority processing and that you had issues with your fountain working after 4 days. This certainly is not the norm.

The items on eBay are copies of our product and are simply inferior in comparison. We stand by the quality of our products and believe this is a one-off in this case, and we are saddened that this occurred.

That being said, we have fully refunded you for your entire order and hope one day, this review may be amended to reflect how our customer service dealt with the issue :)

Lovely pet seat

Very pleased with ease of ordering and delivery … the car seat is exactly as described and easy to fit and keeps my tiny Maltese secure for the long 5 hour journey we had.

Shocking customer service on faulty safety items

I bought 2 safely car travel straps for my dog. It hooks over the car headrest and attaches to the dogs car harness. The attachment strap fell off after a few months on one of the 2 I purchased.

This a safety item to restrain the dog in the event of an accident. If it had failed then it could have resulted in a serious situation for dog or passengers. Did play paw care about this, no, instead they offered me £10 off their upgraded version following customer concerns!

How outrageous is that? They know an item is faulty but they refuse to refund or replace. Instead they try and get you to buy an upgrade! I’m appalled and will be taking it up with trading standards. Faulty and not fit for purpose items are clearly covered in law yet they refuse to abide.

The floppy fish is very poor quality and within a few uses disintegrated and I threw it away. Strangely all reviews for all products on their website have 5 stars so that is suspicious. My package shipped from China, and turned up within the 9 days they advertise, so I think they are definitely a Chinese company as suggested by others. I am awaiting a replacement fish that I will bolster if it arrives. A refund wasn’t offered , rather a credit for something else or replacement. I’d avoid in future. I’ve rated 2 stars as I am happy with the seatbelt that has 2 connectors which is why I purchased it from them. Update : I have now been offered a refund also and an apology for it not being offered in the first place. Have to say the customer service have tried to make amends , so I feel much kinder towards Playpaw now.

In this case, it sounds like you had one super strong woofy, who has decided to try and make our fishy into a meal! In some circumstances, our fish won't cut it with some dogs, despite the upgraded materials (Oxford - being the strongest for dog toys on the market) and our protective silicone case.

Not happy with this company at all

Not happy with this company at all. I believe they import all their goods from China so nothing is here in the UK which is why I had to wait for my order to arrive.I have my doubts whether they are a UK company. When I tracked my order it was in China. I tried to cancel the order but was told it was on its way. When my order arrived the box was crumpled and there was no receipt or returns label. Although very expensive the cat bowls are ok. Apparently there is no scientific evidence to suggest cats require this type of bowl to assist with their digestive system so this is false advertising. At the end of the day they are plastic food bowls. I would not recommend them. Far too expensive for what they are. The other item I purchased is absolutely rubbish. It is a pet hair removal brush. It is cheap and nasty. It really doesn't pick up hair that well. Again this is a very expensive item. I have emailed asking for a refund for the pet hair removal item but haven't had a response yet.I am entitled to a 14 day cooling off period. I know it states you can only have a refund if the item has not been used, but how do you know if this particular item is any good without using it?!! Avoid avoid avoid.
