What a bunch of sharks! Called them out as we were struggling to get a plumber. They charge per half hour and when someone turned up, he asked us to sign for the work before he even started. All that was wrong, was a loose connection on the stop tap and it took him 10 minutes to tighten and he said 'unfortunately I have to charge for a minimum of an hour!' The bill was £198. What an absolute scam. They should be stopped by trading standards before they con anyone else 😡😡

I was advised £85 per hour, the plumber that attended was helpful and got the job done, I would give the experience 5 stars but was shocked to see when I checked my bank account that I had been charged

DO NOT TRUST THESE PEOPLE - sent them out my elderly mother and told them not to stress her as she is prone to lupus outbreaks which is serious. They were to de-install and remove a washing machine and then install a new one. They complained about removing the old machine and had to come back a second day with a second person to do it. They didn't install the machine properly and didn't wait for it to finish its cycle, so my mum got an error code as soon as they left - wouldn't pump out the water. The noise reduction panel was left behind. The feet on the machine was never installed. They never sent me the invoice for what was done.
I called again, they said they'd send someone around that day to rectify it and assured me it would be a different team. The next day, the same plumber came over, but not until late in the day. I'm hoping it will be fixed. I do not expect to get charged. On their website they have glowing Trust Pilot reviews, but that has to be a pile of crap.

I needed a plumber to do a few jobs. I phoned this company, and was met with an extremely arrogant man on the other end, who, when I asked for explanations of pricing, he spoke to me with utter contempt and disdain.
When I said I would need to discuss the pricing with someone who was part of the decision to spend the money, this man just hung the phone up on me. I would never ever use this company, and I would definitely not recommend them to anybody. If that's the way they treat potential customers, i'd hate to see to standard of the work they do, and any potential after care. Find someone else for your plumbing needs

Call them for a leak in bathroom. Was a leak on toilet tank he replaced the valve which was leaking. Less than a half hour job. They changed me £246 . I call this Outrageous.

Absolutely disgusting. My elderly grandmother needed her toilet fixing, she called them to come out where the site said there was no call out fee but when she called up to check they said it was £85 an hour. She decided to cancel the appointment but they insisted as ‘he was already on the way’ but would bring the price down to £67.50. when he got there he informed it was £67.50 for half an hour but they charge per hour so charged her £135 and then another 40 for the work. when my mum checked to see if the toilet actually worked, he hadn’t actually fixed anything and it still didn’t flush properly. when my mum confronted him he insisted he did his best?? so he charged her £175 to not fix the toilet but to have a go? he then said all of the prices were told over the phone and that he wasn’t there to fix it but to change a part and that he had something in his car to prove it. he then hurried to his car and waved at them through his window (absolutely disgusting behaviour) and drove off. they scam vulnerable elderly people and treat them like idiots and run away. not even brave enough to face us when we called them out on their bullshit. we will be contacting their bank to get the fraud payment reversed, disgusting behaviour.

WASTE OS SPACE, called them out to y elderly mother for a burst pipe in her living room. they said they would be out before 5pm, called them back at 6pm, they said " we tried to call but the call wouldn't go through" they'd be out between 9am and 12pm following day. rang them at 12pm and low and behold the plumber literally had to call off, due to personal reasons. they then said they be out later that day, still no show, 1 final attempt and they said the best they can do is the following day. absolute sham of a company, if you need something urgent, call someone else.

They sent a plumber who would refused to share his name, he kept saying to call him ‘Moh’
He came without any equipment, and he ripped apart the wooden sheet with his bare hands to access the pipe where the leakage was there.
He instantly inflated the price 5x, on the pretext that the pipe was not plastic, it was metal.
He and the call centre agent kept insisting on paying the minimum pay of £ 150 and getting the work done by another local plumber at a cheaper price
On insisting police involvement, they instantly canceled the work order, and the fraud plumber decided to flee

Certified fraudsters, that's best way to describe them!
- They are not qualified plumbers, but they are trained scammers
- Cal Center will lie to you about no call charges and charges of £ 62.70 for 30 minutes, with a minimum charge for 1hour, applicable only if the Plumber accepts the work.
- Plumber arrives at the scheduled time, without any equipment, he comes with his bare hands and insists on you digitally signing the contract on his phone to commence the work.
- Post that he will check the work and inflate the price by 400%
- He will try his best to convince you to get the work done by another plumber, as it will be cheaper.
- He will ask you for the minimum price to be paid to him, as the contract is now signed.
- He insists that paying him £ 150 and getting the work done by another plumber is way cheaper and a sensible option.
- You will argue that since he did not do any work, and the company website and Cal centre promised a ‘no call charges’ you will not pay any minimum amount, at this point, he will show the digital app on his phone, where he insisted you to sign, before even seeing the work.
- If you agree to the 400% price escalation, he will give you another 10 reasons for not doing the work and sending him away with £ 150 pounds, he will call the Cal center and threaten legal action if minimum charges are not paid.
- By this point of time, any reasonable person understands its a scam
- The moment you decide to call the Police to intervene, plumber will simply accept that he can't do the work, and requests for another plumber to come next day, as its a 2-man job.
- On threatening and insisting on cops involvement, he further panics and decides to flee.
- By now he knows he is caught, he will simply convince you that the contract is cancelled, nothing to pay, and he needs to rush for another job.
- I got the same work done by another plumber for a fraction of the cost, it was a simple leakage.
- These are professional scammers, Please call the cops if you accidentally call them.

I would have liked to give a minus one but that option is not available. I booked a plumbing service with them and they were very specific that there would be no call out charge. The labour charges would be £62.55 for half an hour and they would charge for a minimum of one hour. Only additional costs would be of the material. The plumber came and then said that the cost had gone up to £780 for the job. Which was a minor leak in the kitchen sink pipe. They are absolute frauds and should not be contacted for any services. When I called the helpline again they refused to connect me to any executive. Horrible customer service and pathetic experience. Absolute NO.

Guys. Please be aware, these guys are fraudsters, scammers
They promised a no call charge, then they sent a plumber, who came without any equipment whatsoever.
For a simple leakage he increased the rate from 120 to 250 and then to £ 790
When I said the quote is too high, they insisted a minimum fee to be paid of £ 150.
After I agreed to get the work done, they panicked and said they can’t do the work and will come another day.
The plumber ran away the moment I threatened to call the cops.

Plumber arrived in a van displaying butcher/poultry advertising and passed us his own personal company plumbing information which was unrelated to the company we called/used.

Leakage under bath/shower coming through floor, Showed up at the completely wrong time to the door without contacting first (5 hours earlier), plumber found no pipe leaks and replaced the bath silicone edge sealant which was messy, clumpy and unprofessional with gaps left which will no doubt cause further problems with leakage.

£246 - for 1 hour of leak checking and sealant

DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY. I called for a quotation for a faulty tap for an elderly relative. The quotation I was given seemed very high so I DID NOT BOOK THEM. However they still sent a plumber to her house. Fortunately she did not answer the door as she is quite frail and needs support. This resulted in a very traumatic experience for her and us. If I could give zero stars I would!

MARCH AS I HAD A BURST PIPE UNDER THE SINK AND HAD NO WATER, I WAS TOLD SOMEONE WOULD COME SEVERAL HOURS LATER BETWEEN 6-7PM. NO-ONE CAME, JUST A MESSAGE LEFT ON MY ANSWER PHONE TO SAY THEY WOULD NOT BE COMING FOR TWO DAYS, NOT UNTIL MONDAY!!!
ALSO THEY DO NOT HAVE 4.5 STARS ON TRUST PILOT AS STATED ON THEIR WEBSITE. NOT TO BE TRUSTED!!! I COULD HAVE GOT THE JOB DONE WITH ANOTHER COMPANY WHO IS HONEST.

I’m incredibly frustrated with the service, or lack thereof, from Plumbers Local. I booked an appointment for the first day but waited four hours before finding out it was cancelled. Fair enough, sometimes things happen, though a call earlier would have been nice.

However, what really tipped me over the edge was the rescheduled appointment the next day. I wasted another four and a half hours sitting in, only for them to not bother showing up. No call, no explanation, nothing.

It’s astonishing that any company can think it’s acceptable to waste this much of a customer’s time. If this reflects their work ethic, I can't imagine how poor their actual work is.

they came out said looks like shower is only 4mm wiring said shall i start work i said yes went away to buy the shower . got called back to say couldnt do it because of wiring being only 4mm and had to pay them £198 . had 2 other electricians out and both have said our wiring is 6mm . dont use have reported to trading standards

i called yesterday lunch time. said the issue, was told someone would be at mine at 4pm. 5 15pm no one still here, i called back sorry he wont be coming out now. i said the issue i had , there was no isolation valves, it was an emergency. complete liars, waste of time. please DO NOT CALL THESE EVER.

I agree that this is a very shady operation. over £180 for 10 minutes work to fix a tiny leak, and didn't even look at the other problem we requested. Avoid. And if, despite all the 1 star trustpilot reviews, you do still choose to use them, make sure you check if their quote includes or excludes vat.
Don't expect an invoice, even if you ask for one and it is promised. Do expect mysterious and unexplained "parts" to be added to your bill.
If you try to call them to clarify the charges, do expect to be placed on hold for an hour waiting to speak to "the customer service department", and don't expect "customer services" to do anything.
