I’ve recently had shutters fitted by Anthony and I can’t speak highly enough of him! He was brilliant - he talked me through everything prior to ordering, he kept in touch around timeframes etc and was always contactable when needed. The shutters are absolutely gorgeous and I am really happy with them, they fit perfectly and have made the rooms look totally different in the best way!

I was disappointed ....
I was disappointed in the fit of the covers. I have waited this long as Tim assured me the creases would disappear as the covers relaxed once hung on the sofas. They still look crumpled in places - as if a bit too big.
Tim appeared stressed on both visits which left me feeling a little tense. I was not willing to ask if he was ok ,other than acknowledge how uncomfortably hot it was.

Terrible
I ordered patio curtains with box pleated pelmet and also ordered 3 roman blinds to match at a cost of over £3000 . The order took longer than was quoted by the rep who came to measure up.
When finally the curtains were delivered it was found that the roman blinds had been made with the length and width being made the wrong way around . I'm now having to wait for them to be re made, after having to ask (not offered) for some kind of compensation for their mistake and having to wait again, I was finally offered a £30 m and s voucher, which i promptly told them politely to shove it!! Would definitely NOT use again!!!

Honestly
Honestly, I have no idea how to asses the the curtains made and fitted for me so working on the theory nothing is perfect I award 4 stars. I enjoyed the fact that the work was all done for me to a high level, no fuss, no mess and all to suit my schedule. Really good job.

So very happy with my experience of…
So very happy with my experience of Plumbs. We have a very large and expensive sofa that had been destroyed by our kids and dog. I was on the cusp of absorbing the cost of a new one and then came across the Plumbs sofa covers. I massively underestimated how good they would look - it wraps and clings to the sofa so well it looks like a full upholstery job - you cannot tell it’s a cover at all and it’s on a tricky, classic style, sofa. Mike Smeathers who measured and fitted the cover was a pleasure and after we noticed a small, (subjective) design issue he arranged a pre paid postage bag to come to ours so we can send that part of the cover back for alteration free of charge. 10/10 for price, quality and service. Thanks 🙏

Plumbs sent me a leaflet offer…
Plumbs sent me a leaflet offering 50% off made to measure curtains. I requested a visit. A very pleasant, mature, lady came and estimated the cost of my requirements. I required one set of curtains with a 58 cm drop for my lounge and another set of curtains for my bedroom, with a 53 cm drop. This included heat resistance linings. The overall price given was £1650.20 including VAT. It did not surprise me to learn that my materials chosen were not in the “50% off”category. I should have, but did not query the overall price. I agreed to go ahead. A deposit of one third was requested which I paid on the spot. I was told it would take between four and six weeks for the curtains to arrive. After just over three weeks, I was told that the curtains were ready and was requested to pay the remainder of the bill. I declined to do this. I am 82 years old and was worried about finance scams. As of that moment, I had not seen the finished curtains. I did manage to discuss the bill with the original estimator and was told that I could pay the fitter when he arrived. The curtain fitter duly turned up over two weeks after I was told that the curtains were ready.
Apparently, the fitter waits until he has a number of installations in an area before he comes.
The fitter did a first class job of hanging the curtains. I was pleased with the results and the quality of the curtains. The reason I have only given Plumbs four stars, is owing to the fact that I was demanded to pay so money before the curtains had been delivered and that, in my opinion, the contract was overpriced.

From the first phone call everyone I talked to were professional, respectful and kept us up to date with appointments and delivery and fitting. Barbara was very professional, communicated well with my elderly mum and was very patient with her. Communicated well regarding arrival times etc. The finished curtains and sofa and pouffe cover were beautifully made and fitted perfectly. My mum and ourselves were delighted with finished product. However they were expensive. All in all very professional and good service.

We have just taken delivery of our two sofas, which have been beautifully reupholstered in very good quality fabric, by Plumbs and we are delighted with them. There were hiccups during delivery, but that was due to the individual who was due to deliver and we cannot blame Plumbs for any of that. The lovely Claire at Customer Services was an absolute gem and sorted things out for us. We cannot thank her enough!

A Good Match
The fabric which I found on the web and of which I was able to have a sample has been very successful coordinating with existing fabric and the cushion covers and armrests.

Terrible refund policy
Terrible refund policy. We paid a deposit of over £1,000 for reupholstering our sofas.
We were contacted two weeks later to be told that the fabric had been discontinued. There were no other fabrics that we liked so we asked for a refund.
Nine days later we still have nothing and we have chased up twice including today and we are now told that it will take 28 days to get our money back. When we asked why we were told ‘that’s just how it is ‘.
This is unacceptable considering that most companies refund in about 5 working days at most.
We have now had a quote for better fabric at a far cheaper price.
I would not recommend using this company.
The response from Customer Service has been more like a brush off.
