Fantastic company to work with. Thomas came out and spent over an hour explaining the process. The team were really professional when they came out. I didn’t get the roofers name but he was really informative and Dan the electrician was lovely and did an amazing job. Lindsay in the office was brilliant with her follow up as soon as the panels had been fully installed. The app is great to see how much energy we are using. I thought it was going to be a hassle to get the panels installed but from start to finish has been a great experience. I will have no hesitation in recommending Power IQ to anybody wanting to install solar panels.

My initial experience with Power IQ was very positive. The sales representative, David, was knowledgeable and able to answer all of my questions confidently. I specifically requested additional solar panels beyond my immediate requirements to help future-proof the system, and I was satisfied with the advice provided during the sales process.

Once we decided to proceed, the installation date was scheduled within the timeframe we expected, particularly given that the installation took place during January, which is typically a busy period.

The installation team arrived as planned and completed the work efficiently. They were professional, courteous, and left the site clean and tidy. My only concern regarding the installation is the placement of the Eddi unit. It was installed in a very tight space within a cupboard, making manual operation difficult. I recall the lead engineer questioning the positioning himself, especially as there appeared to be sufficient space available to install it in a more accessible position.

Following the installation, I received a welcome pack containing product information. Since then, I have had to contact Marc, who supports the operation of the system, regarding a number of issues. The first was that the battery was not charging despite reasonably sunny winter conditions. After investigating, Marc identified that the battery temperature was preventing charging and enabled the battery heating function, which resolved the problem. I also asked to extend the manufacturer warranty as I was told at sales this could be achieved by paying £150 for a further 10 years. No details provided.

A second issue arose when the solar and battery system ceased operating during local power outages, leaving us without electricity on three separate occasions. My understanding is that there is a setting available to prevent this from happening, provided the battery retains sufficient charge. I contacted Marc regarding this matter, but I am still awaiting a response. Unfortunately, the aftercare and ongoing support have been the areas of the service that have disappointed me most.

Another significant issue relates to the export tariff. During the sales process, David advised me that Power IQ would complete all necessary paperwork and arrange the export setup with my energy supplier. He explained the tariff structure and when export payments would be calculated and paid. However, this information proved to be inaccurate.

I only became aware of this when attempting to switch tariffs with my energy supplier. They informed me that they had not received the required documentation from Power IQ and could not process the tariff change until it was provided. As a result, I contacted Solar IQ to explain the situation and my expectation that this would already have been arranged several months after installation.

It was at this point that I was informed there was no export setup in place and that arranging this would be my responsibility. This directly contradicted the information I had been given during the sales process. I had assumed everything had already been organised, particularly as nearly 300 units of electricity had already been exported to the grid.

During my conversation with the office, I was advised that the information provided by David was incorrect and that he was no longer employed by the company. I was also informed that there were reasons for his departure which suggested issues relating to the information he had provided to customers. I was told that the matter would be escalated to one of the directors and that I would receive a follow-up. Approximately three months later, I am still waiting for a response.

I delayed leaving a review because I understand the impact customer feedback can have on a business. In fact, one of the reasons I chose Solar IQ over another supplier was due to concerns about the competitor's aftercare service. Unfortunately, my experience has been that the post-installation support has fallen short of expectations and has been considerably less satisfactory than the sales and installation process.

Overall, the quality of the installation and the professionalism of the installation team were very good. However, communication, aftercare, and the handling of export tariff arrangements have left me disappointed and have significantly affected my overall experience.

Recently got my solar installed with power iq. Cant fault the team in anyway. From Thomas coming out to explain all the types of systems and to the boys installing it. I had no issues at all. And the head office support team are always at hand for any questions. Thank you so much. Would def recommend to anyone that is thinking about getting solar installed.

Installation was done in a morning with minimal disruption and total respect of property. Was guided in downloading the app.
Now enjoy the graphics showing how much we’re generating from UV light and what we’re NOT taking from the grid. So while there is an initial cost- over time it will more than pay for itself.

From the initial site visit from Cormac to the after sales follow up contact by the office team, the service was faultless. CORMAC’s initial laptop presentation and the options provided provided me with all of the information that I required to make my decision. I had contacted other companies who all provided quotations but none provided the information and presentation that I sought. I was surprised with the cost of CORMAC’s quotations as they were well positioned and allowed me to choose the more expensive Premier option. The system was installed both speedily, professionally and neatly and has been working faultlessly from day one. As a former heating engineer I have found both the installation and service faultless.

Electrical installer arrived on time while solar panel roofer arrived shortly after. Solar panel istallation took less time than the installation and connection of the inverter/battery backup equipment together with the meter board & electrical grid connections. Electician was so dedicated it was late evening before everything was was finished. Overall, I am pleased with the neatness of the final installation, the dedication of the electrical installer and the followup support provided by Power IQ.

Every step was simple and straightforward. The initial consultation was thorough and the agent went through my electric usage and gave an honest appraisal of my use. I then made an informed decision.
The installation was very efficient, took less than a day and everything was operational before the installers left.
