Do not recommend.

A representative from this company quoted about $3000 for my move (but it ended up being about $4000). I checked other companies plus reviews and this seemed to be middle of the road, so I decided to go with them. The representative and his manager were nice and helpful until I made my deposit. Then I could no longer get in contact with anyone.

I am assuming this company uses whatever movers are in your area. I was told my movers would arrive at my apartment in a three hour window. The three hour window plus a few more hours came and went so I called the dispatch person, he said he would call them and figure out what was going on. Calls me back and says they will not be able to make it that day, I told him that was unacceptable, so he told me they could get there by 6pm. Of course 6pm came and went and no one showed up. So I called again and the same person told me they would not be coming. I had to be home the next day for them. They still showed up outside the 3-hour window I was given, had a huge truck, and told me I would be charged for a long carry since I lived in a neighborhood with a lot of cars parked on the street and there was no parking for a large truck available nearby. I told them no, I will ask some neighbors to move their cars. So I did. The guy still charged me for a long carry and said it was $150 for over 75 feet. I did not know where my contract was because my apartment was a mess, and I just wanted to get it done so I paid it, but I looked later when I found the contract and it stated it was $75 for over 100ft. It was actually about 80 feet, so I should not have been charged for a long carry at all. I tried to call them again to ask for it to be taken off my bill at delivery, but no one answered or returned my calls.

I also told them I would not be arriving in El Paso until the next Monday, and they said that would be ok. Nope! Called me Saturday night and told me they would be arriving Sunday evening and if I wasn't there to accept my stuff they would take it to Dallas and I would have to pay for a re-delivery. Luckily the building manager at my new place in Texas was awesome and gave my friend a key so he could let them in and supervise. When they arrived at my new apartment my friend sent me pictures of the really crappy loading job in the truck, and some of my stuff fell out of the truck when they opened the door. The driver then told him I needed to pay $75 for each floor because I lived on the 5th floor plus another $150 for a long carry. I asked to speak to him and told him that is not accurate. There is a $125 elevator fee and the $75 is only if you have to use the stairs plus it was not a long carry. He just said "I'm just the driver, I can't make those decisions, you need to call my boss and if you don't pay me I can't deliver your stuff." I tried calling the boss and of course he did not answer my calls, but then the driver told me to pay a much lower amount than I actually owed, so I said "Ok I'll pay it." Paid it, they unloaded my stuff. My friend was sending me pictures as they were unloading, and they gave me several items that did not belong to me. Luckily he was able to catch most of it but when I got there the next day I discovered items of mine were missing, and they had still given me someone else's belongings. Then the delivery driver called me saying I still owed him $800 because I didn't pay the right amount. I refused to pay more until I talked to his boss. So then of course the boss called me right away and I had to fight with him about the contract and what was in it to get him to remove those extraneous charges. I then informed him some of my items were missing and I had someone else's belongings. They told me they would check for my missing stuff and let me know, but I never heard from them again and as I expected they would not answer or return my calls. So I still have someone else's stuff and never got my missing items.

Obviously, I do not recommend this company.

Run away from this company as fast as you can

If I was able to give this company a lower rating I would -5. Moving with this company was that one of the worst experiences of my life. Do not use this company go somewhere else. They moved our packed it and moved it and pushed us into moving earlier than we wanted to. They were bullying us into revising the contract to spend more money saying we didn’t have enough cubic feet. They were in professional and aggressive. They did not return phone calls they did not communicate certain payment arrangements and pay amounts. Paid for premium packing service that was a hack job. They used third-party subcontractors. They broke to many of my items. We were pressured by many of the third-party subcontractors to pay them cash when our contract was with Prof Move.

I have an awful experience with this…

I have an awful experience with this company. I moved my household stuff from Connecticut to California and have not received the things yet. I shipped on January 28, 2020 and was told that truck will reach in 15 days but every time I called them after reaching california, they responded me it will take one more week to deliver. And then, after Feb 20 they stopped taking my calls and no response to emails. I got to know from the guy who took the delivery of my goods that he delivered my goods in storage space in NJ. Then, I called NJ storage and they told me that the stuff is still there and no one is coming to take the delivery. So, the company people always lied to me that stuff will be delivered in one week or so. And right now, I dont know what to do, I have paid them $2000 in advance and all my stuff is stuck there.

Class Action Lawsuit

I have had a similar experience as many others - the misleading quote, the lies in regards to the company handling all aspects of the move end-to-end, the lack of communication etc...if you are interested in joining me, please send me an email at profmoveclassaction at gmail.com

They do not return calls and keep your money without moving

They will quote you one amount, steal your deposit, give a much higher cost to complete the move and not even move your belongings! BEWARE
I paid the deposit to have my belongings removed from my storage shed by 2/29 at the latest and transferred to their climate controlled shed, until I could come up with the balance for the move. The $839, according to Steve, was supposed to lock down this rate for a year. They were NOT moving my belongings to my home.
I was told to fed ex the keys over night to storage facility, which cost $75. On February 29th, they didn’t show up to storage unit before it closed. After both me and the storage unit left them messages, they finally responded at 8pm that night to say they werent even going to make Saturday at all. I explained I would be charged $375 for my storage shed but they didn’t care. They didn’t bother to call me on Sunday- until I reached out to them on Sunday around noon. Because they missed the storage shed hours - they cut my locks and “decided” I had too many belongings to move and wanted to charge me an extra $1000 on the spot. I had repeatedly talked to Steve over the course of the month and told him I had two 10x20 units and one was half full. Steve assured me they don’t write everything on the estimate and it would be fine- he only wrote 5 items and wanted to charge me $1800 in the first place. They not only cut the locks but have not answered my phone calls and installed new locks on my sheds and left. I reached out to customer service at 3pm Sunday who assured me I could speak to Steve and that they’d get back to me. They have $839 of my money and left my belongings. I have a number of overdrafts on my account because I will have to pay $374 for storage tomorrow.

Very very bad customer service and bad packers and bad delivery.

I have never been so disappointed in a company that lure the little old lady into trusting them and not give the proper service. Difficult to reach! Ignores phone calls!

They will tell you what you want to hear and sweet talk you into hiring them. Once the sale has been made, you are then transferred to customer service and you can no longer talk to the first person who sweet talked you into signing the contract.

I emailed them once again and let them know that I have given them a bad review which I will be more than happy to retract if they contacted me and made it right. The next day, I received a voicemail without a return phone number. Says they are sending me the claim form. The claim form says they will pay a maximum of $0.55 per pound, per item. There were 5 items broken. My TV is new, looked up the cost of the same TV today online at the price of $299 which cost about $350.00 or more with taxes etc.etc. And weighed 21 lb. which comes to $11.55 they will pay. Less than the cost of postage. The email also included an incomplete phone number to call if I should need help. My guess is they really don’t want to help me out. I wrote them back saying they just insulted my intelligence and this will not work, they need to do better. I previously sent them a picture of the TV with the screen on prior to the move and the broken TV turned on seeing the broken screen and no picture. I also sent them the list and pictures of all that was broken including antique pieces. No return email and no answer. Read my previous review.

Prior to receiving claim form: Bad customer service, bad packing, 5 items delivered were broken including a new TV. Driver asked for additional $300 CASH because he had to park outside our complex because his Truck was too big to fit. I was careful to let them know about everything they had to pack. We were charged for boxes for 2 TV’s Wardrobe boxes and boxing large framed pictures which they came unprepared without the proper boxes.

My 84 year old sister in-law was moving her 1 bedroom furniture from Pittsburgh to California. We were given sweet promises that they will hire their best packers for the job and that my sister in-law would be taken care of. Prior to the packing I took a picture of the new TV while it was on showing all the features of the TV on the screen. I also had a replica of an antique turn table/ CD/ tape combo which was at the time still working prior to being packed.

I was shocked to see how the furniture was placed in the truck from different owners piled up high to the top of the huge truck without any order but just thrown in the truck. Finally Adam delivered the furniture and asked me to pay $300 and must be cash because he had to walk over 75 feet. I went to the bank and withdrew $300 from the ATM and paid him.

After he left, I went looking for the TV box. I had to open every box to find the smaller TV in a box without padding mixed with lamps, shoes, and clothes. The other TV was disassembled with legs removed, wrapped in a blanket and remnants of used boxes but not completely covered. Apparently, the corner that was not covered with a box was damaged and the whole TV screen was cracked and useless. A very expensive lamp was thrown in the bottom of one box and the one of the matching shades was totally broken into pieces because it was placed at the very bottom of heavy items. The turn table/CD/ tape combo is totally out of order, delivered just with a blanket wrapping without a box and had been layed every direction but up and will not work. The drawer of her desk is stuck and will not open.

I asked my sister in-law who is still staying in Pittsburgh to call Prof Move but she is just not feeling well enough and don’t have the energy to call. I finally took it upon myself to contact Prof Movers to let them know. 4 weeks ago, I contacted them, left a voice message and I also emailed them from their website. No Response! I called again last week and left a voicemail. No Response. I emailed them again 2 days ago and still no response. I just left them a message again asking to speak to the manager or supervisor and told them I’m getting ready to give them a bad review and need to hear from them ASAP.

Tracking the delivery was difficult. They could not give me the day it was being delivered. Couldn’t go to work for a few days. I was given only one hour notice that they will be here.

I have pictures of the TV before and the TV now a totally useless paper weight on my bedroom floor is waiting to hear from Prof Move.
They promised a good packer and said they will first asses it before the move. Instead we got a packer in a hurry who took apart some furniture that they broke into pieces. They were un prepared to pack the TV in the box that we paid for. Instead the items were wrapped in a blanket and covered with remnants of pre used boxes that was sitting around in the apartment.

Over charged; has not responded to emails +90 days

2 days before move date (when they know you can't get anybody else), a "manager review" decided my movement would require an additional 245 sqft (for additional cost of $910). Company has not responded (90+ days) to requests why they felt this increase was required and has ignored photo evidence provided shows sqft used in move was less then required in original quote.
The movers were great; but so far have decided that over charging and ignoring this complaint is A+ business practice.

Fantastic!!

Overall I was very satisfied with the job done by the moving crew from Prof Move both in packing and moving. All pieces of furniture were either blanket or shrink-wrapped to avoid any kind of damage and scratched. Lots of paper was used to wrap up fragile items. Thank you to Prof Move and you’re amazing crew for such amazing move.

I chose this company to move my furniture from Wyoming to California and I am very pleased with how it all turned out! The drivers for both the receiving and delivery were very professional and took care of my belongings in transit.

I am in the military and I needed specific paperwork completed and Jonathan Maya coordinated with all involved in my move to ensure it was completed.

I highly recommend Prof Move for your moving needs.

Really satisfied move!

I had just retired and needed to move all my household goods from Lansing, MI to Macedonia, OH. I was very satisfied with the move. The crew at Prof Move are efficient and they offer great service. My experience with Prof Move was smooth and everything was good.

Horrible company .Scam artists

Horrible company. The movers that showed up asked for $200 cash to move "heavy" equipment that was already on the manifest i was quoted, on the first floor nonetheless. They then asked for $400 cash before giving me a copy of the pickup contract. complete BS. It's now almost 6 weeks (their contract's 30 business days) since i got a call or update as to where my stuff is. I have called weekly if not more often and have been told that it'll be here next Thursday or Friday and should get a call 24-48 hours before. I havent received any calls.
No customer service, and when starting to discuss legal or insurance claims, i was told it wouldnt accelerate how fast i get my stuff anyway.
Most recently the number i got from a Rick goes directly to voicemail. Jobs, kitchen effects, personal gym equipment- all gone until i get an update or replaced by insurance.

I’d give zero stars if I could

I’d give zero stars if I could. The are crooks. Can’t believe a word they say, demanded cash or wouldn’t give us our belongings... and when we finally got our stuff (a week late) most of it was broken or missing. The driver gave me his “number” and it was really a warehouse in NYC. DO NOT HIRE THEM! It’s all a scam.

After submitting my deposit and signing the agreement, the day of my move no one should up. No one picked up the phone. No one responded to my emails. Definitely, a blessing in disguise as these people are criminals. I'm sure I'm not the first to be scammed by them, but they will get caught. I'm taking all their information to my State's Attorney General Office.

DO NOT USE THEM. FRAUD FRAUD FRAUD
they have a lot of fake reviews even on facebook.
They will hold your stuff hostage delivered EXTREMELY LATE, that 30days on the contract is a joke. Try a few months. Price went up by over $2500k on a 2bedroom apartment. They quote low and change things after the deposit.
Report them to the BBB, FMCSA and wherever else even if nothing can't be done. A complain is better than nothing.
Ohh the email of the "sales" person stop working, they don't answer calls.

Pro Movers !!!

It was a great experience for my long distance move. The whole crew was very helpful and responsible for helping me schedule my move and my requests. The pickup service was very good and it was very quick and on time. I would highly recommend this moving company for your move.

Brokerage Company

This company was barely short of horrible. They continually wanted to sell us more space yet failed to be able to transport the items we initially agreed upon. As it was, we had to rent a trailer to move the rest of our items they couldn’t “fit“ in the van. We were given a delivery date but the day before, when we called to check the status, we were told our items would not be delivered until the following week. No discount and the only explanation given was that a truck had broken down. When our items were finally delivered, the gentleman in charge of unloading things told us there had been no truck breakdown. He had picked the items up several days before. Apparently this company is nothing more than a broker who charges an arm and a leg to move your items but then brokers the job out to anyone with a truck! Beware!

I've always made moves on my own in the past but now I decided to try professional movers. These guys totally sold me on using pros to move from now on. . My furniture arrived on time and the driver, Mike did a phenomenal job unloading the truck and placing everything in the house. He was very nice and so easy to work with in getting all my precious pieces in the house. Thank you!!!

Don't rush and do your Research!

Where do I start? First, I want to extend my deepest gratitude towards my agent who took care of me in my time of need! My name is Rafael Morales and I was stuck in a can of worms.  Thanks to my Agent Oliver who I was first pretty impudent with because of the situation I was in. I had secured my move with a different company after getting bombarded with phone calls throughout the entire day. Oliver called me twice once in the morning the other later in the evening. I had just got home from work when he called to ask me if I still needed assistance. I immediately yelled and told him to stop calling me with the anger I had built in from all the calls from these companies non stop. He had sent me a message apologizing for the bother and mentioned if I had a mover he can match and beat their price if they are a carrier and not a broker. That is what made me do some further research. I was traveling cross Country from Oregon to Texas for work, being how this is my first move I wanted to make sure I was doing it right. The price I was promised seemed too good to be true but I thought I was just getting a hell of a deal. I called Oliver back and had him explain to me what he meant from Carriers and Brokers. THANK GOD I called back! I was in some deep you know what! He explained the industry to me thoroughly and I had no choice but to apologize to him deeply. We went through my inventory in detail he showed me I needed more space then what my original contract stated. This is to show that when you are dealing with something as important as this, it's always best to do your due diligence in RESEARCH! Thanks again Oliver and the Prof Move employees. You made this move stress free.
