RAC Car Insurance Avis 

I have been with RAC for many years now and find very easy to renew at a good price. I have breakdown cover in policy and trust them for that, if ever required!

Neither the premium nor the excess are small but they are reasonable given that I am 86 and they have been consistent over the 3 years I have been with the RAC.

The pricing was competitive with other companies so I stayed with RAC

I had a complaint regarding my RAC renewal which has been resolved satisfactorily.
My husband is now considering using a RAC mechanic to carry out a repair on our car shortly.

Every thing went well but had problems signing in with the registration stage

This is the first time I have used you but I am very happy with the cost of my insurance and the quick and easy way I was able to access the on line procedure

Myself and my son were insured with RAC/Ticker on a blackbox insurance policy and it's without a doubt the worst experience I've ever had with any insurance.
The blackbox/app are unreliable, constantly claiming it isn't plugged in or isn't sending data and then there's no end of threats to cancel the policy.
It's impossible to speak with a person over the phone and only via web chat, and only 9am-5pm.
The blackbox is a good idea but unfortunately it doesn't work as intended plus the inability to speak with someone is a real problem, and for that reason I'd advise everyone avoids.

Did not take the policy it was not as it told me . I signed up with another insurance company and it’s cheaper than RAC.

I telephoned RAC because I had not had a reminder (I always have a copy by post). Due to our appalling postal system it had been sent about 10 days before but it came a few days later! A very helpful lady told me the new price and it was all sorted very efficiently and quickly. Thank you.

Called to deal with a quote for insurance I had from go compare, I tried using the online payment for the policy but couldn’t pay due to their system being glitchy, so I contacted the online customer service, ever who the guy was that was dealing with it basically couldn’t be bothered to help, never even tried, told me he couldn’t help after I explained what had happened, and told me to try again later, if this is the level of customer service you receive while trying to buy a policy I would hate to think what it’s like having a policy with them and having to make a claim, shameful service, I have RAC BREAKDOWN cover on both my car & van, I hope the service is far better with them, if it isn’t I’ll be staying well clear of RAC products in the future.

unfortunately when I informed you of my change of my email address you didn't record it or you used my old email address . the consequence was I never received a quote for my insurance. I tried contacting you but never received a reply . On the day my insurance was. due I had to ring up and sort it out , this meant I had no opportunity to get other quotes, which I normally do .As it happens you had already renewed it on automatic renewal. Which I did not agree to. my payment method had also changed So you would not have received payment sending me reminders to my old email would not have reach me which would mean you cancelling my policy and the worst part is I could have been pulled by the police and a fine and points put on my clean licence without me knowing anything about it Because you automatically renewed my insurance " without my concent " you would probably have not sent me my renewal information by post. A small mistake in the beginning caused me a lot of anxiety Allan A

One of the lower rates I could get, pleased with the outcome
