I recently insured my car with rac…
I recently insured my car with rac which they gave me a good price.since then i was involved in a accident.
It wasn't my vehicle. It was the company i work for vehicle
It was the company's insurance and the vehicle was for anyone to drive.
The accident in question i had was that someone drove into the back of me and they admitted it was them at fault.
I thought I would contact rac to let them know .After doing so they put my car insurance up over 50% .you couldn't make it up .
It wasn't my fault ,it wasn't my vehicle and wasn't rac insurance. Avoid avoid avoid

I PICKED UP AN EMAIL THIS MORNING OF THE 09/SEPT STATING THIS TO BE SO AND HAVE , WITH IMMEDIATE EFFECT CONTACTED RAC TO RESOLVE THIS MATTER. THE LADY I SPOKE WITH WAS VERY SUPPORTIVE AND ASSISTED ME TO RESOLVE THE OUTSTANDING AMOUNT AND ALSO ALLOWED MYSELF TO CHANGE THE DIRECT DEBIT DATE SO AS NOT TO ALLOW SAID ISSUE TO OCCUR IN THE FUTURE. THE LADY ASSISTED ME WITH INFORMATION WHICHN WAS VERY HELPFUL AND I AM EXTREMELY GRATEFUL. THIS WAS BEYOND MY CONTROL AND IN NO WAY WAS DUE TO ANY DISHONESTY OR POOR MANAGEMENT OF MY FUNDS. Very easy to insure
very easy to insure from compare the market, however the web site always points you to buying more to add to the policy.
The down side is that you can not talk to anyone unless you threaten to cancel the policy and this is only via the chat box when you can type to a person on the other end of a keyboard.

Review the final price offered carefully
Linked to Which? and MoneySupermarket, the RAC online form is easy to fill out and promised comprehensive insurance at an attractive price.
However, when it came to paying the price was not honoured.
I tried 3 times and was not offered anything lower than a cost that had an uplift of £70 on £311 and on one occasion would have had me pay in excess of £800!
AI could not give me a satisfactory answer as to why this was occurring and of course there is no human to discuss the anomaly with.
Had I had more time I would have explored other options, but filing out forms in detail that requires (understandably) a lot of detail (e.g.driving license details for a number of drivers) is very time consuming.
