Brilliant site for anyone interested in railways, plenty of free cameras for a first look, but well worth the subscription, lots more cameras and signalling diagrams so you can see where trains are in real time, and when they are getting near to a camera. I love it.

I have used Railcam for nearly two years. I find the content very informative and helpful. The help pages are very good in helping to browse the sites. The free cams on Youtube are a good incentive to join the group as a member. For the price, definitely value for money.

Having sampled the free ones on You Tube went for the year subs and am so glad the amount of detail on the site and the help from other members far more informed than i will ever be for me its Money Well Spent

I found the free cameras on youtube and registered to the site for free, After a month or so I paid a subscription. I have now access to 86 Railcam cameras. There are diagrams showing live train positions and also other train data. Well worth the 50p a week

I've been using Railcam for several years and find it's an excellent tool in keeping track of railway operations both by using the live diagrams and a good selection of live cameras. It also has a chat room where you can chat with other railway enthusiasts, which makes it an enjoyable experience that I make use of on most days. I would certainly recommend giving it a try.

No trial or demo of premium features available, and the suggestion of this to them was dismissed. Don't put money in to something when you have no idea what it looks like or how it functions. Poor decision.

Response to their reply: That's a rubbish response and as a consumer you still shouldn't expect us to pay up for something we can't see. You've lost sales for it, no doubt.

Sadly like so many organizations in the UK this mob in my opinion just tried to rip me off!! You might, like so many others, have a casual interest in railways past and present. You may accidently come across, like I did, a web cam via my satellite tuner, of a beautiful railway station for FREE!!! and then browse for more on the internet. I then came across this organisation that listed numerous webcams some of which it does NOT actually own that invites you to register to view most of them. Once I did this I was then informed that unless I coughed up some cash my registration was utterly worthless. My question is: why do you have to operate like this?? Don't con people to sign up and then demand money from them!! Be upfront and make your case before getting people to sign up only to find they are wasting their time because you then want to take their money to actually view the cameras, if you need a donation to operate or if you are just a money making venture be honest!!!. The term "RIP OFF Britain" is as in my opinion a direct result of this type of behaviour and in this case if Railcam.UK are actually making a difference to preserving railways then state it upfront and people like me may be willing to contribute and if you are just a money making venture then people like me will not give you a cent, especially when it appears some the cameras do not actually belong to you and are free to see elsewhere.
