Really enjoing the new cameras and all the info on the forum page

"Railcam" has kept me entertained on a more or less daily basis for several years now. It is also a good source of rail related information, some of which comes from following the people in 'chat', where you do not need to take part if you do not wish to do so. If you make good use of the service over the year, the subscription is extremely good value for money !!!

No rewind facility on cams, not worth signing up for,

Up to now, brilliant for access to teh free cameras. Has enabled me to see some of my driver pals in action. However, proving I am not a bot has stopped me viewing which I am very annoyed about as I have been on Railcam for a number of years.

Poor quality cams .. bandwidth turned right down these days .. used to be better .. nowadays you pause a cam to see a loco number and it's just a blur .. rubbish really

I've been a subscriber for quite a few years now. I live in Canada, but I have traveled extensively in the UK on the rail network including Heritage lines (RH&DR, Nene Valley, etc.). It's nice to see the places/stations we've been to in real time. Hope to be back over in November to add some more lines to our "Traveled on" scrapbook. I walways give you a donation along with my subscription as I know there's a lot of work and Volunteerism that goes along with this, with little "Thanks!" Hope it helps keep the cameras live. Cheers! Whats not to love ...
If you love trains then come here.. - the admins/gods even have masses of data so if theres a steam loco or a special running we get updates and they use the zooms on the cameras to get the best..

Railcam is an excellent website with so many camera's and much much more such as diagrams , data searches and a craking chat group to . Admins are a great buch of people too , I have been a member for about 10 years now and thoroughly enjoy the site . It is realy great value for money. I am still finding new features .

I just love Railcam. After viewing the free cams I just had to subscribe for the full range. Good value as i view several times every day.

It's just relaxing and fun watching trains.

Excellent range of cameras for a good subscription price. As a supporter, you also get access to worldwide cameras too. Some special/noteworthy services also have zoom and pan following the action.

Good bunch in the chat - and alongside comprehensive diagrams, search and service information, it's a very informative platform for all things UK rail. Would highly recommend.

This stream is both entertaining and informative to all those who are railway enthusiasts and interested in transport.
There is also an educational aspect to the UK and world coverage provided, perhaps unfortunate that a few sites outside the UK are offline for long periods.
The combination of heritage and mainline sites offer balance and comparison to students of transport with an excellent volunteer online support service

Its just amazing how this site has evolved and is so reliable.
Unfortunately it is a major distraction and I'm rather addicted.
But thanks guys.
Shame there so few cameras at actual stations but I assume that's due to Network Rail. For example the Derby cams give great views but most of the action is at the Southern end.

THE RAILCAM STREAMS HAVE A HABIT OF FREEZING AFTER HAVING SPENT SOME TIME WAITING FOR A SPECIAL EVENT OR TRAIN. THIS CAN HAPPEN EVEN ON STREAMS THAT NORMALLY WORK 100%.
BECAUSE OF THIS I DO NOT SUBSCRIBE FOR THE FULL YEAR ANY MORE.
SOME FULL TRACK DIAGRAMS ARE OUT OF SYNC WITH THE ACTUAL CAM - CREWE NORTH BEING ONE OF THEM MAKING IT DIFFICULT TO FOLLOW TRAIN MOVMENTS .

Railcam is a fantastic website that allows you to view trains around the UK on main line, Heritage and oversea too

I love the variety of cams, great resolution and awesome views.

Fantastic bespoke UK cameras, and also shared cameras from some UK heritage sites and overseas mainline cameras, including many US VRF cams. So much live train running info and UK diagrams, and TOPS history for many locos and units. A lively friendly chat room. Fantastic value for money in my opinion. I have been a member for 14 years.

As a subscriber I have been using Railcam on and off for many years. With cameras placed around the country in some strategic mainline positions and a wide range of hosted heritage railway cameras this makes the small subscription fee great value for money. Along with the station and section diagrams with live consist tracking makes for an entertaining and emerssive experience. Brilliant!
