I rented a car from this car rental company and had a very positive experience. The booking process was simple and quick, with no complications. Upon arrival, I was greeted with professionalism and friendliness, and everything was explained clearly, with no surprises or hidden fees.

The vehicle was in excellent condition, clean and well-maintained, which made the trip much more comfortable and safe. The return process was also smooth and fast, something I really value.

I would also highlight the transparency and honesty of the service, which nowadays makes all the difference. I highly recommend this car rental company to anyone looking for reliability, great customer service, and a hassle-free experience.

It is with great pleasure that I recommend Rent A Drive. The car was delivered to a convenient parking area not far from where we were staying. Everything was clearly explained and demonstrated, and they even connected my phone to the car’s system. They answered questions I hadn’t even thought to ask at the time—but that came up later during the trip.

They also gave us useful information about parking and roads, and sent the location of a convenient gas station on the way to the airport. The return process was clearly explained: the car can be returned directly at the airport. The pickup and drop-off locations are different, as are the times (morning and very early morning before the flight).

The car was excellent—clean and very comfortable. Everything was arranged so that we could simply enjoy our trip.

This company is the the best!
Honest, friendly and professional from the beginning to the end. Everything worked as planned. Emphasized aspspects: you can pick up the car at the airport in Funchal and leave it at the port, and the other way round. They have a small deposit in comparison with renown big rent-a-car companies. The cars ar quite new (2-3 years old), in perfect condition, and very clean!
I love their policy when they kindly ask you "if possible, please, return the car not super clean but normal clean!".
You can actually feel that they thare doing the best to be professional and friendly and not just the typical plastic professional!

Attenzione! Se siete giovani guidatori o avete una franchigia, faranno di tutto per trattenervi l'intero deposito. Avevo pagato l'assicurazione "Young Driver CDW" che limitava la mia responsabilità a 250€ esatti (che ho dovuto lasciare come deposito).

Alla riconsegna si sono inventati due micro-graffi. In soli 20 minuti, senza consultare alcun carrozziere, mi hanno emesso la fattura (FR 01P2026/602) usando un trucco contabile vergognoso. Hanno preso due danni dalla loro tabella (185€ e 195€) e hanno applicato due "sconti" finti e ingiustificati (di 60€ e 70€), abbassando il costo di ogni danno a 125€. Totale magico? 250€ esatti.

Hanno manipolato la matematica con l'unico scopo di arrivare esattamente al limite massimo della mia franchigia e prosciugare il deposito fino all'ultimo centesimo, senza alcun reale intento di riparare l'auto. Pratica commerciale scorretta, già segnalata al Centro Europeo Consumatori!

I had a very positive experience with RentADrive. Communication was clear, the car was in great condition, and the whole process was smooth and professional.

What really stood out was how fair and customer-oriented the team handled a minor issue at the end of the rental. Very transparent, respectful, and solution-driven exactly how it should be. Good to know that there are still fair Rent Services!

We had a very bad experience with this car rental company in Madeira and we do not recommend them.

I booked a car online for 110€, which was clearly shown on their website. However, when I arrived, the final price suddenly increased to 180€, without any clear or transparent explanation of the extra charges. They were unable or unwilling to clearly explain what these “taxes” were.

On top of that, they demanded a 1500€ deposit, or alternatively forced us to buy an extra insurance for 20€ per day, which we paid. Even after that, the price kept increasing.

When we went to pick up the car, they asked for another 150€ “commission/deposit”, saying that “some of the money you will receive back if everything is fine”. This was never clearly stated during the booking process and felt extremely misleading.

At that point, the price had gone from 110€ to 180€ + additional charges, which is unacceptable. We firmly refused to pay and asked either to receive the car for the agreed price or to get a full refund.

This business uses hidden fees, pressure tactics, and unclear explanations. It felt like they were constantly trying to take more money out of our pockets.

Very disappointing and unprofessional experience. Be careful and read everything twice before booking — or better, choose another company.

Det her er et ordentligt biludlejnings selskab, som opfører sig troværdigt. En af de bedste biludlejnings oplevelser jeg har oplevet. Kan absolut anbefales. Vi fik udleveret bil i lufthavnen ud fra dialog på Whatsapp, der er ingen fysisk kontor, men det virker helt uden problemer. Det samme med aflevering. Vil helt sikkert bruge selskabet igen.
