I had a Seat Ibiza FR, 150 hp. The car was very nice, perfect for Madeira roads and very powerfull for the hills that are there.
I would recommend a small car with a lot of power because most of the time you will be going up and down the mountains.

The most professional car rental company throught which I rented a car. The rental process and the necessary documents did not last more than 3 minutes. I strongly recommend this company to rent a car! I received the car clean and well-maintained with a full tank of gas. Pedro is a very friendly and kind man, I made a new friend in Madeira.

Amazing rent-a-car, I felt very safe renting a car with this company. The car was just perfect and the service as well! The employees were super helpful and kind and answered all my question, giving me tips on where to go and places to eat.

We travel quite often and have had various experiences with car rental companies. In general we've got used to not having too high expectations. Our experience with RentADrive in Madeira was all the more fantastic. We rented the car with our family for 10 days and were not only very happy with the car, but also with the whole process. The car was delivered to us directly in front of the exit from the airport. We were also able to return the car there at the end of the trip. The communication with the company's representative Pedro was second to none: always available (even late at night), reliable and extremely friendly and helpful. When returning the car, for example, I realized that I had accidentally taken the key from our accommodation with me. Pedro immediately offered to return the key to the landlord and refused to accept any compensation for this extra service. Overall, the best experience we have had so far with car rental companies and I really can't imagine it being any better. We are very grateful to Pedro and his team who contributed to our relaxing holiday. We highly recommend the company and would love to come back!
