Poor experience
Watford salon. Had issues getting a patch test. Hairdresser started doing someone else’s hair, leaving me sat in the head bath for a long time. Left the toner on too long and the front pieces were slightly blue. Still had strong roots at the end despite asking for a balayage. Hairdresser barely spoke and only offered me a drink half way through. Was quoted the wrong amount but they did honour the lower amount. Saw a mouse in the corner of the salon.

I had a great experience
I had a great experience. My stylist, Paige, was amazing - she did a thorough consultation and the result was exactly what we discussed.
The staff were all really friendly and I felt very welcomed (was my first visit).
Looking forward to my next appointment!

Disappointed
After waiting 25 mins, i was told that my stylist had only been given 1 hour for my appointment. She was very nice but after showing three photographs and saying that I wanted my hair to look different, I came out of the salon looking exactly the same.
My roots are still visible after a whole head of highlights. I received a discount for winter colour but I still expected a good result.
The stylist charged me £87 for what I would call a slight trim of the ends of my hair. She didn't touch my fringe which we discussed at length.
I'm so disappointed to pay £190 to not look like my hair has been touched.

Rush Reigate has a great vibe
Rush Reigate has a great vibe, upbeat on trend yet calm and relaxing.
Dominika is great, she took her time to listen and assess what would work for me and also focused on the quality of my hair and gave goid advice on treatments.
I now have a style I love and can manage and a lower maintenance blended colour.
The quality and health of my hair so much better, no more frizz or breakage. It adds a little extra to your bill, but so worth it, and they do have good offers and loyalty points to use for future visits.

Tom was brilliant!
I booked an appointment online with Tom at Rush Stratford.
He was so welcoming. I explained what I'd been doing with my hair, ponytail cuts, it really needed a good tidy up.
He did exactly what I wanted. Long layers and a bouncy blowdry. I will definitely be going back to him. I'm so happy with it.

Lack of price transparency and bad customer service
I showed the stylist a clear reference photo of exactly what I wanted and explained that I needed my roots covering. I was advised to have a glossing service, something I had never had before and knew nothing about. I trusted the stylist’s recommendation.
When it came time to pay, an extra £65 was added for the glossing service. This additional cost was never explained during the consultation and I was not told it was a separate charge or excluded from the advertised 50% colour promotion. The “discount” was effectively clawed back by adding this undisclosed surcharge.
Unsurprisingly, my roots have already faded and the service has not delivered what I wanted.
When I tried to resolve this amicably and requested a refund of the undisclosed £65 charge only, the person I spoke to was defensive and hostile. I was pressured to return to the salon despite making it clear that I no longer felt comfortable doing so. They also stopped responding to me.
Charging customers for additional services without clear prior consent is unacceptable. Based on both the service and the way my complaint was handled, I will not be returning and cannot recommend this salon.

Staff at Rush Brighton are amazing. Cuts, washes and blow drys always carried out professionally. They always manage to create a warm and welcoming vibe at each visit. Always welcomed with a hot cup of tea and biscuits. I have been going there for years now and always happy. Would highly recommend.
