Samantha is the worst customer service…
Update: 1 hour after I sent an email Selkirk solved the problem.
Samantha is the worst customer service representative that I’ve ever talked to. I bought a boomstick paddle from Selkirk which is essentially the most expensive paddle in the market right now.
I used a referral code when I purchased that gave me a $40 gift card. Right now I’m trying to spend another $120 dollars with the company buying a pair of shoes, but naturally I want to use the gift card to cover part of my purchase.
The problem is I can’t access the gift card and on shop.app it shows the gift card as delivered/fulfilled on the 17th.
So I called to check in what’s going on because I’ve never received it, long story short she basically told me there’s nothing she could do, that there’s no gift card, and for me to send and email to Selkirk and wait a week to 10 days for a reply.
That’s completely absurd. I heard Selkirk had exceptional customer support but that’s clearly not the case.

Bought a Luxx Control Air Epic that…
Bought a Luxx Control Air Epic that arrived and lacked the pop of other demos I tried. I sent a message that it did not appear damaged, but just lacked the same power/pop. After several emails, sending photos, etc. they said I'd have to send the paddle in and wait 3 weeks for their review of the paddle.
This does not seem like good customer service to me.
Paddle issues
Had an issue on two different occasions with a pickleball paddle and they replaced it both times. I have purchased many other items from them including apparel and shoes and all have been of excellent quality. They stand behind their products!
I was concerned about the turn around…
I was concerned about the turn around time on the boom stick because it just launched. I checked with customer service and it was shipped the very next day.

Best customer service ever
The store employees filled out the warranty claim for me, showed me paddles I was eligible for, and helped me try out each of these paddles. It was really fun! I haven’t received customer service like this from any company lately!
Customer service and follow up
Good for 3 months
Paddle was a $250 paperweight after just a few months. It’s warped and one big dead spot. Not to mention no grit. I contacted them to replace it under warranty and they tell me I have to pay to ship it to them so they can see if it qualifies for a replacement. If it doesn’t last any longer and they don’t back it up like they claim, might as well just use $50 paddles.
