I'm a skin care junkie. After reading reviews of Korean skin care and pricing. I was super curious. I found SBC online. The logistics were amazing. I received full-size products tailored for my needs. I tried the routine and felt so at ease that my redness was minimized. I'm done paying absorbent amounts of money for products that don't work.
Very Manipulative
Their approach to customer service practices are incredibly deceptive. My request for a refund was repeatedly ignored but not outright denied and they just kept telling me to pick products from a selection I did not want and that did not meet my needs before just shipping a box of products I didn’t get to review and saying “oh well your box has now shipped, too late”. I have never been treated so manipulatively by a company before.
Received non-Korean product
This company advertises that they only send products that are popular in Korea, yet I received a sunscreen that is for the American market only. This is deceptive. Not only that, but I can’t use American sunscreens because they irritate my skin so the sunscreen that they sent is useless to me.
Although I received a lot of advertising emails before I joined, once I joined I never received any emails that it was time to choose my products, so I ended up getting a bunch of stuff I didn’t want.
I have now been billed for 4 shipments, but I’ve only received two. I’m not sure if this is because the shipment time is so long that I was billed for the last shipment before the third one was even received or because I just never received the third shipment.
These shipments cost $69 each, so they are not cheap. As far as I’m concerned, this was a waste of almost $300.
Nothing but problems
First month's box arrived very late and missing the items I actually chose and instead had random sheet masks in place of the pricier items I ordered. Second month's box should have had the corrected items from the first month, plus my second months items. It did not. Had to contact CS again. Third month (I have an alternating month subscription) due to a "glitch" on their end that I had to prove to them, they sent a box of stuff I did not choose a month early. They told me it was my fault. It was not. January, March and May should have been my order months. They shipped an April box and told me it was my fault until I pushed the subject with customer service. Only then did they admit a "glitch." Not worth the price of the subscription with all the problems and the fact you can find all these products at TJ Maxx for way less.
3 stars: 1 star process with 5 star products. Hope you have time to email them often...
Box 1 March: one mask. Contacted them and it was an error, let me choose from april catalogue
Box 1.2 April: This was full of gorgeous products!
Box 2: sent me the same catalogue from April. Huge apologies, offered me the May Catalogue - but no way to access.
3 starts is really a 1 and a 5: 5* products but getting them sent, correctly, in good order is a STRUGGlE. Be prepared to email often and be Very Patient.
Terrible communication and service
Terrible communication and service: I had purchase a 3 box subscription, but never received any confirmatory emails. I have then tried to contact them though email, instagram but mostly never received a reply. After many weeks someone offered to send me a box and had me choose products, but then stated they were unavailable. I have now received a box with only items I had not ordered. Again, no confirmation, no information. This is a terrible company - Stay away!
Not a scam!

Although customer service is slow in replying and take action ( have to admit that Chelsea was great in dealing with my questios and my problems), I finally received the items that I've been asked to choose. Twice! And I wasn't charged for the second parcel. I also received the refund for my April's box in my bank account.
I will resubscribe when I will finish the products that I received from them.

Started this subscription at the end of March 2026. Received only 1 product when 4 products were selected for my first box. Been charged in April for my next box.. I skipped the box but I was still charged for it. Emailed customer service and they told me to choose between 5-7 items from April's catalog and they will send it to me free of charge! That happened almost 2 weeks ago.. No other words from them and still waiting for my products. I asked for a refund on the April's box but no words from them. Total radio silence! I cancelled my subscription and noticed that my subscription will end on the 1st of June ! What does it even mean??
Am I going to be charged in May also although I cancel subscription? Retoric question... don't expect them to answer!
Unreliable and unresponsive to complaints
First order went wrong, no products in stock I had chosen and no delivery until after repeated emails I eventually received a box.
Tried again and seemed ok, although selection limited and only 4 products. Current month the subscription got debited on 1 April and no selection offered and no box in progress, although funds debited. Emailed and still waiting…
It’s still very hit and miss and stressful when they debit 69.00 and you get no response on progress.
Impossible to cancel!
Impossible to cancel subscription!!!!!!!!!! Emailed several times, no number to call, no address to file complaint with Better Business Bureau. Cancelled on website but they pushed back the delivery date so I'm paying for another box I do not want. In case you are having the same issue, FTC much more effective and filed dispute with credit card company.
Brilliant concept; quality products received; check details
HAPPY UPDATE
After a rocky start, I have today received an absolutely brilliant box of goodies. I will use them all - which is how it should be given the extensive survey completed. This is now the best of how I hoped this awesome concept would work.
Be warned though that the cut off date for each month’s box is 25th. This means if you sign up just before (as I did) that you may not have time to select your items and end up with an auto curation of items that are absolutely no use and not related to your survey responses.
In general, I would recommend signing up on 1st of the month so you have plenty of time to get your first box sorted. If you have issues, get in touch with them ASAP - they have a genuinely responsive customer service (completely resolved my issues) but it can take up to a week to get a response due to the volume they are navigating.
HAPPY CAMPER and looking forward to curating the next box of goodies.
Scam company
They have charged me money for a Package that never arrived. I have been waiting over a month. I have been in contact with their customer service several times, and the excuse is always that some product is out of stock, so I can replace it. Each time I pick a new product the package is still not proceeded. Last time I wrote to them I said I wanted my money back, but they do not answer now. So so not buy from this brand, it is a total scam!!
No shipment after a month – very disappointing experience
placed my first order on February 15th, but I still haven’t received any shipment details. I contacted customer support and they told me that some of the items were out of stock, but that my order was now ready to be shipped. However, even after another week, I still haven’t received any tracking information.
Reading other reviews here, it seems many people have experienced the same issue. At this point, it feels very suspicious. I would recommend staying away from this website.
First order never arrived
First order never arrived. Issues with missing products, no tracking number ever supplied, refused to cancel and refund my order. Offered to then help me cancel my account and then sent a long winded email about how only I could cancel my account. After one month waiting I still have no tracking number or order, and they have now debited me a second time, surprise surprise, no order confirmation or tracking number. This is a scam and I will be reporting to Australian consumer affairs. Don’t risk it.
No sign of my products a month later...
As first time customer, i thought it was a great idea so i decided to try out. Sign up for the box in February... They came back quickly telling me they were out of stock on some items, to choose a replacement for them. So i did. Ever since, silence. No shipment link, no updates, nothing. Fast forward to March, not only i have not received the box from February, i have now been billed with the March box. As a first time customer, this company does not provide me with much trust and reassurance. I know feel like i have been scammed, 58euros is not cheap (considering the price of korean beauty)... and i have been billed twice without any products arriving at my footstep.
Obviously cancelled my subscription and trying to see if by any chance i can get my money back, which i think will be mission impossible.

I am a huge fan. I’m on my second box and already can’t wait for the next one. I am not especially well versed in skincare or what to use or what to get. I also am not a fan of spending a ton. You get an average of $75+ worth of items each box. It’s 100% worth the price. I have discovered brands I’d never ever know about if it weren’t for Seoul Beauty. My skin is also GLOWING and I am not exaggerating. My friend thought I was wearing makeup the other day. I wasn’t. I just have an amazing skincare routine now. Immediately I recommended Seoul Beauty to her. I could gush all day long. They’re responsive, quick to ship, friendly on price, and the value is amazing.
Loving these boxes!
So far I am loving getting to try the items in my curated boxes! I’m sure others have mentioned this company is still getting their legs underneath them because of their massive growth. I needed some help and Leo was able to help me with this month’s box. You may need to have some patience with them, but so far I am enjoying the community they have built and the products!! It’s great to find others that have my very specific skin type to help me as well!
I love this service
I love this service. I get a box every other month, and have received three so far. While the company is clearly going through some growing pains and communication can be slower than we might be used to, they do always reply and are kind and helpful in their responses. I love the different options they have each month and am excited to see the new ranges in products they are offering (hair care, lashes, etc). I will continue to be a happy customer with SBC and support all of their efforts!

I absolutely love this company. While yes, sometimes the shipments take a while, it’s always worth the wait for me. The products are top quality, every product is full-size, and it’s worth its weight in gold. Keep up the fantastic work, SBC. 🩷

I've since cancelled some of the more comm9n boxes like fabfitfun and ipsy because im loving these products better and they are usually low scented and don't irritate my excema!
