Shark Lift-Away UK Avis 

What a shame after leaving a positive review after needing to contact due to faulty part which was supposed to be sent to me. Now been waiting 2 weeks so contacted again to be told part still out of stock and they don’t know when it will be in. Demanded a replacement hoover but I have send mine back first but in a box and packaging and go out of my way to drop to courier or pay for them to collect!! Tried to escalate to manager but no have to wait another 48hrs for them to contact me certainly won’t be buying from them again. Obviously don’t care about customers when their product fails

At first I thought this hoover was fantastic suction etc but very quickly noticed that the lower suction setting for floor surfaces didn't suck very well only the carpet one worked well eventually there was a very loud noise as if something stuck and all suction stopped even though I've cleaned and checked every part what a waste of money definitely a gimmick product and gimmick 5 year warranty

Bought a shark lift away Hoover 18 months ago, the lift away button has broken and shark will not replace this part as they class it as wear and tear. The five year warranty is a pointless. If I had known this wasn’t expected to last more than a year I wouldn’t have bought one! So expensive and this is the second time it’s broken. Was great to begin with but soon starts to pack up, not worth the money at all.

got the anti wrap vacuum in May and the brush bar stopped rotating. Submitted a customer service form online and received a n email 2 days later saying they have dispatched the part. Absolutely fantastic customer service.

Shocking customer service, contacted them on the 8th June as had an issue with my lift away, emailed them all the relevant information & have been fobbed off ever since
Problem hasn't been resolved & I have a very expensive hoover sitting here that can't be used
Will never buy another one & will never recommend them

Terrible vaccume. Has no suction power, pushes the dirt around, blocks constantly. I'd go back to Dyson .

We bought a shark pet lift away anti hair wrap and all that palava a year ago! Last week for some unknown reason it made a loud bang and set on fire from the hose near the handle! I rang shark on Tuesday and explained and they said they’ll send us a brand new one as soon as they receive ours back. They sent me a dpd label by email, I literally boxed it on weds night, sent it off Thursday afternoon and got a dispatch notification on Thursday evening. Hoover was with me at half 9 this morning (Friday 16th July!) absolutely smashing customer service on this occasion! I was devastated as love my shark vac so even happier with the service and brand new one !!

Just got mine yesterday been using my dyson stick and honestly was shocked at how much it picks up really great for those big clean days so far loving it .
Yes it is a little heavier but not as heavy as my dyson upright would definitely recommend it for the price

First time of using onecwhilst pet sitting some hairy pets.
Used the shark duo clean lift away.
Found it very heavy, not very manouverable at all, suction wasn't bad, but didn't do edges.
As it wasn't mine, I had no idea how to empty it and took me 15 mins to work out.

I like the smaller rechargeable Shark cleaner much better, but given choice if them or my Miele, Miele wins every time.

I have to say I have read loads and loads of reviews and put off buying one...now I ask why.
I brought the shark pet lift away anti wrap hoover....it's amazing, yes it is quite heavy, but in a good solid way, that you know it's a well built hoover. I have children and a dog and constantly tidying up. The amount that came off my carpets was unbelievable, made me feel like I never hovered before.
It's also so easy to clean, that you can do it after each time. This is the key to do clogging, no hair on the antiwrap etc.
If your after a good hoover, then look no further

Bought to replace a Dyson stick vacuum. Must admit I had low expectations due to the low price of £149, but we’ve been pleasantly surprised.
The vacuum is very quiet, but also powerful. We were rather shocked at the amount of dust is removed from a rug that had previously been vacuumed by the cordless Dyson.
Like the lift away feature, makes it more practical.

Where do I start with the disgusting service I have received from Shark. All I wanted to do was return a faulty vaccuum but that was obviously too difficult for them.
I have made six phone calls and sent numerous emails. I am tearing my hair out.
Asked them to change my address, didn't happen. So had to call them, I was told it had been done but then received an eamil to say the new vaccuum was going to the old address, I called back and they said they would cancel and reorder another one. I spoke to 2 new customer service agents they had no clue what they were telling me. Going through trouble shooting was a joke. Asked to speak to a manager and was refused. Contacted customer service online and again, A complete waste of time and extremely stressful. Ws told they had listened to one of the calls and the agent was new and that he had done his best, I would hate to see his worst. Why let someone on the phone to a customer who doesn't know what he is doing?? I was also advised that I had to box up the vaccuum, Does anyone have a box available to send a vaccuum back? They wouldn't even let me wait for the new one to return the old one in To add insult to injury I was offered, As a good will gesture, Which I find laughable was a car cleaning kit, Which I saw online as offered as a freebie with some orders and I am partially sighted of which I mentioned in my email, So do not drive anyway. Apologies for grammatical errors but as mentioned, Partially sighted. I would not recommend Shark to anybody

I brought the anti wrap lift away model. For the first month I thought this vacuum was amazing and the suction was really good compared to my previous vacuum. But after continued use I am so disappointed. Anti wrap does not work at all and I constantly have to cut away the hairs. The bottom clogs up so quickly and I have to unclog this every time I use the vacuum. You cannot pick up any bigger bits with this model and I have to remove bits by hand before starting to vacuum. Filters need to be cleaned roughly every 30 days or it loses suction and hardly picks up anything, Wish I had spent my money elsewhere and would never buy a shark again,

Best vacuum we have had and fantastic customer service. We bought our first in Dec 2017 and the motor recently started playing up. Got in touch with them and they sent us a brand new vacuum. Can’t fault them or their service.

I purchased the shark lift away in June 2020. I found it extremely heavy to push and difficult to manoeuvre. The lift away In my opinion is pointless and awkward especially on the stairs. A longer hose would have been better.
Now the brush bar has stopped turning so it’s super heavy to push and won’t pick up. The customer service is non existent, Iv been told they will have to collect my cleaner to send me a complete new vacuum as the part I need is out of stock. But they will not send out a new one until they receive my old one. After numerous phone calls and emails, promises the courier collection has been arranged nothing has happened. Now they are not replying to emails. I now have no vacuum cleaner as mine is boxed up and waiting for a courier to collect which no one seems to be able to sort out. I’m going back to Dyson.

This seems to be a common story. I purchased a Shark Liftaway because it was a good price compared to Dyson. I was very pleased with it until it stopped picking up dirt under normal vacuuming. On inspection it transpired that the hose in the base of the floor nozzle had split. Contacted Shark and was told it was not under warranty as Wear & Tear and that I would have to purchase an entire floor nozzle for £70.00! I disputed this based on my view that if they expected it to fail within the warranty period then they should be able to replace just the hose. Also wrote to the MD but no reply as yet. I found a replacement hose on the ebay for £8 but then discovered I am unable to fit it because of security screws so I have emailed Shark to ask them what type of head i need (we'll see if they respond).
Not only is their offered solution a ridiculous cost but also a tremendous waste of what is (bar the hose) a perfectly good working vacuum.
Another worrying point is that on live chat they initially refused to give the name of their MD. After another "discussion" they did give me a name but it was incorrect (I had to use other means to find it)

Ive had this vacuum for two months now. I have to say that the cordless lift away design is really well thought out and makes some aspects of cleaning very easy. One gripe is with the hose in one hand and the main unit in the other dusting becomes difficult. I got round this by using a belt as a shoulder strap. Sadly though whilst this is great at cleaning the kitchen floor it is useless at deep cleaning the carpets. It neither grooms the carpets effectively or has sufficient suction to lift the dirt away making this a very overpriced carpet sweeper.
Surface debris are cleared well enough from the carpets but nothing deeper down. After using for 2 months I went round with my ancient fax upright and was appalled by how much deep down filth had accumulated in my carpets, even though I had used the shark on a daily basis.
I wouldn't recommend this machine, but might be okay for homes with only hard floors - expensive for its performance though.

I absolutely love my shark lift away pet edition.
The delivery was prompt & the hoover itself is absolutely excellent to use.
I have a French bulldog who casts constantly, myself & my daughter have long hair & my shark leaves my carpets hair free.

Been told by shark to try eBay for a second hand part as the part I need for my powered lift away is no longer available disgusting customer service one star is being generous because they answered the phone
