Shark Lift-Away UK Avis 

Love my shark but wondered if anyone else had a problem with the dust collector. Have had it just over a year & the hinges on it have broken. Can close it with the clip but surely it should last longer than that. Design flaw?

Had this 6 months now after our old dyson was dieing. Decided to skip getting another Dyson due to Britain not being good enough to make them anymore and bugering off to china......anyway, rant over.
Im very impressed with this. Easy to use, does a good job at cleaning carpets. Very powerful suction. Only improvement they could make is for making tube longer as it doesnt stretch very far and have to undock

hi wonder if someone could help i’ve had my shark hoover for maybe 2 years it’s been a great hoover but now when it’s on it works fine the green light shows but when move the handle when pushing the green light goes off does anyone know what could be wrong with it ?

This vacum does NOT prevent hair from wrapping around the brush. What it does do is a most excellent job at hoovering hair and dust up from your floors. Having got fed up with constantly having to de clogg hair from Dyson brushes i switched to this Shark anti hair wrap model in hopes that things would change. They did not. I still have to cut away hair from the roller brush after every use and the hoover itself is very heavy to push so you feel like you've had a bit of a work out after each use. The main dust/hair catching body is very small and needs to be emptied after each use but again i say, it does a most excellent job of picking up off the carpet. On the whole i'm pleased with my new vacum but probably would have stayed with Dyson as its much easier and lighter to use.

I brought this Shark Anti Hair Wrap lift away machine in june lockdown, the thing is it's not as it says anti hair wrap no! mine clogged up i had to cut it out with scissors, my hair is quite long the hoover it's self is ok but they shouldn't advertise it as anti hair wrap overall a nice hoover not a very long cord but the lift away function is brilliant for stairs

So I bought this (23/11/20) and having tried it I really wouldn't believe the reviews.

First off, I cant seem to extend or reduce the size of the handle. There is hardly any storage space on the hoover for the accessorises. It certainly isn't as powerful as other models I've owned and the head lifts off the floor if you have used the lift away function. So all in all not the greatest design in the world but probably ok if you can get it cheap.

The real reason for the two stars. The first time I've used the hoover (literally, one room) the hose clip that is design to keep the hose in place doesn't work and the hoover head makes a plastic crunching noise. The response from Shark is that, 1) the hose clip isn't designed to hold the hose in place and 2) if it keeps making the unusual noise then call back.

So the design is flawed and you wont fix my problem.

I bought a Shark anti hair Lift Away after trying many other brands of vacuums. Being a owner of 2 Husky’s, keeping my carpets hair free was a dreaded chore. I was sceptical when I first purchased with the large price tag but hoovering is now a breeze. The only one negative is that long hair tends to still get caught in the roller but I don’t see that as much of an issue, it’s easy enough to remove. The best hoover I have had so far (previously had Henry and dyson). Well worth every penny!

Would have given No stars if possible. Terrible after sales.Vacuum still under warranty and Integral hose (vacuum needs to be taken apart to mend) split and was told it was wear and tear and had to replace whole floor head and piping to fix, also I had to find my own repair person to do it as Shark doesn't have repair people?? I have a Panasonic vacuum where this part is solid plastic, just seems like money making exercise from Shark. Do not buy a Shark! Reminds me of the 1950s when if your christmas toys were stamped "Made in China" you knew they wouldn't see the day out! Looking on the internet I see Shark does a replacement inner hose which is easy to fit on their earlier models - As I said Purely a money making exercise.

Can't recommend. Wish I'd done more research before buying. It was fantastic when it worked but inner hose which connects to floor cleaning unit has snapped. Not covered by warranty despite, or maybe because, it is a common fault. Have to replace the whole floor cleaning unit for approximately £100. The last Shark vacuum I will ever buy. Bring on the old fashioned but reliable Henry Hoover.

Bought a hoover for £250 barely 2 years ago. Registered for 5 year warranty. All was well till one tiny connector between a motor and a rollibg brush broke into pieces. Contacted Shark and it was a pure disgrace. They didn't understand what the problem was or how the hoover is built. They refused to aknowledge the fact that it was a design issue, not wear and tear. They had problems to verify my registration for 5 year warranty. Told me to buy a new rolling brush even though the connector was not included in the set, so didn't sort out the problem. The customer assistant was so not bothered that she even struggled to spell my name correctly at least once. At the end they closed my issue and refused to communicate with me and told me to buy a new noozle for £70. Totally disgraceful. 5 year warranty is just a gimmick. Basically any problem with the hoover is classed as wear and tear. Appaling customer service, definitely not worth the money paid! Avoid at any cost!

Bought this hoover back in april to replace my dyson,honestly wish id never bothered. Its a very heavy hoover and when you go to use the pipe the rest of the hoover just falls over every time. Its no good for rugs or thick carpets it just wont move. It works well on my laminate flooring and has great suction. Theres no edge to edge cleaning so you have to use the pipe and tools for that which makes the job harder. Come on Shark for the prices of these hoovers they should be designed better than this.

Hoover pleased with customer service and warranty a shambles. Ok until something goes wrong and you have to contact them. For a very expensive product I would expect a excellent customer service. Won’t be buying a shark or ninja product again

Online chat service with Ahlona was easy to use. Couple of photos and details and Ahlona has ordered new part under warranty. Excellent customer service and love my Sharl lift away vacum

Just bought the Shark Liftaway from AO.com. Our Gtech Air RamII packed up and needed a quick replacement that wasn't a DYSON. Great Hoover. Took up so much from the carpet. Textures the carpet beautifully. Downside. Laminate flooring. The full suction literally sticks to the floor which is fine. Just ease off on the suction. However the slightest bit of grit doesn't get sucked up. It lodges under the cleaning head and scrapes along the floor. We have light coloured laminate which isn't so bad. Of you had a darker laminate flooring this would be absolutely horrific. It doesn't seem to take up small pieces and just scrapes the floor. If I had more than one room in Laminate flooring I'd be really pissed off I'd bouh this machine.

Best hoover I've ever owned!! These bad boys are worth the hype. I moved into a new build and bought this a couple of months in, I was mortified at what it picked up!! I have very long thick frizzy hair and have 2 young daughters with the same. This amazing hoover picks the hair up without breaking a sweat every time which is awesome as In the past we've had problems with awful hair wrapping on the rollers which eventuate defunks the hoover. 6 months on I honestly LOVE this hoover. I will convince anyone and everyone to buy one.

The 5 year warrenty is a waste of time. Web site for faults and repairs is totally useless. Still waiting for a motor base. Many calls and messages later.

My sister has been telling me to go shark for ages. I was like, whatever don't be silly far too expensive for a hoover. Until I bit the bullet and bought the duo powered lift away, anti hair wrap, pet vac! Got delivered this morning and I am seriously impressed!!!! I hoover everyday, I have 3 kids, a cat and a husband who is a tradesman and is constantly dragging in mud and bits of grass, trees all sorts! I thought my carpets were clean until I used this. My GOOD GOD. I love it. I've convinced my mother in law to buy one 🤣🤣🤣

Bought shark NV34OUKT 3 years ago and have an issue with roller not rolling. Contacted Shark via e mail told them exactly what was wrong and what I had done to check no hairs or clogging etc and the hoovers age and that I have the receipt. The only advice was to check there website for fault finding.
Done all that and so I telephoned and confirmed that the hoover refuses to spin the roller and I had tested out completely inc electrically tested .I was told the hoover was no longer manufactured and the parts are unavailable and advised to buy another hoover. Terrible service would not recommend Shark

The best hoover I’ve had !! I love it the suction is amazing I actually can not believe the amount of dust that has been sat in my carpets. I had a dyson hoover previous and it is nothing compared to the shark, also the lights at the front of the hoover are brill really lets you see all the bits dust etc that the eye doesn’t. It is worth every penny and you will not be disappointed if you purchase this hoover.

Very happy with this product, light and easy to handle.
