They don't really process tests anymore, takes them ages.
Plus results are even misleading as the sample is not valid anymore after so long

Are now almost 2weeks since I placed my order, send it back and still didn’t get my results, this is ridiculous!!!!!
Did this home test cos was supposed to be quicker then go to the clinic, book an appointment, take the day off to get tested etc but……. Even more ridiculous is the fact that the instructions kinda”rushing “ u to do the test saying “it only take 10 minutes….” And then ages to get the results!!!
Absolutely not worth it!!!!!

Efficient, fast, kind.
This service is run incredibly well. The digital platform is intuitive, easy and quick to follow, and asks the right questions while feeling respectful of the user.
What I was more impressed with this time was the follow up over SMS by the team at SHL, replying super fast, with clear and helpful information, and projecting kindness and empathy.
It is truly impressive that such a high-quality, effective service is available for free to the population.

Easy and fast
Regular testing is necessary and SHL is very helpful, ordering a testing kit is easy and delivery is fast. Testing kit comes with clear instructions and once send back to SHL it doesnt take long to get results. Great service.

Very worrying
Was given a positive result and sent antibiotics.
I also attended a clinic for a full screening and was told the result which was positive was actually negative. And intact I had something else which needed different antibiotics.
Had I not attended the clinic I would think I had been treated and in fact hadn't been for the right thing and sti would still be in me and still spreading.
This is very worrying!!

There are several reasons why you might get a positive results through our service and then get a negative result in clinic. Both on the website and through our support staff, SHL.UK routinely encourages / signposts individuals with persistent symptoms to attend clinic so that they can be examined and offered a fuller range of tests. It’s great that you were able to get screened more widely elsewhere. SHL.UK cannot screen for everything – you can find out what we do cover here https://www.shl.uk/faq/11. Not all tests are available online because they are not commissioned by local government authorities, in line with national testing guidance. We are constantly reviewing the tests we offer and adding more when appropriate.
