Worst removal company!
Worst removal company I have ever experienced. Our move from London to Madrid was a complete disaster filled with lies from the company, extra fees, delays and broken items. No responsibility taken by any of the staff at Simpson’s and when they had promised to deliver, nobody knew where our belongings were and Simpsons made themselves unreachable, blaming it on all kinds of things. It turned out that the local company they had hired in Spain, to deliver our belongings, didn’t delivery due to too many by Simpsons unpaid invoices. Never ever again this unprofessional and rude company!

Took them to court and won and then they go into admin.
If i could give zero stars, i would. To be honest, I am glad they have gone into admin so that no one else has to go through what we have had to.

TERRIBLE COMPANY! we were moving to Canada from England. we paid thousands of pounds to this company including insurance. after reaching Canada, they emailed us 2 months later telling us that their company was closing down and we had to make other arrangements. their behaviour is completely unprofessional. we made arrangements with another company but when they reached their warehouse there was no one there. Our belongings are still in their warehouse and there are no ways of us getting into contact with them. there is no response to their emails or their phone calls. there should be a police investigation as there are many other people in the review section with the same problem.

For the sake of your sanity and your wallet, do not use this company! They lie, they fob you off, they are rude and aggressive when you try to get help, they take your money and do not send your items!
It took over 6 months to receive our furniture in the Canaries, the items eventually arrived but could not be released because Simpson´s had not paid the sea carrier or destination agent,, our furniture sat on the docks for 5 weeks!
Every phone call to them is a promise that the correct person will call you back! They never do! The managing Director Melanie Simpson does not respond to your calls or emails. We received an email to say they were going into liquidation, but according to Companies House they are still trading?
We paid 2,700 pounds upfront to Simpsons and an additional 2,600 euros to the agents here to get our items!!!!! If they haven´t already gone bust, they deserve to! Worst experience ever!

THEY ARE UNRELIABLE AND DISHONEST. THEY WILL TAKE YOUR MONEY AND YOU WON'T GET A REFUND. AFTERWARDS THEY WILL TELL YOU THAT THEY WERE PLACED UNDER LIQUIDATION. We paid them to move our furniture from London to Cape Town. After 6 months I had to get another company to ship our goods as they had kept it at their warehouse the entire time. They don't respond to emails or phone calls. Lost almost £3000. Very unprofessional and our goods were not even professionally wrapped. I would rather do business with Somali pirates than these dishonest people. They deserve no stars at all. Reported them to Trading Standards. They dishonestly took my money knowing that they were not able to ship my goods. In my opinion this is clearly criminal behaviour which should be investigated by the police.
Simpsons Rip Off
As with other ripped off people sharing their reviews, I too have suffered at the hands of Simpsons. I have been waiting 5 months for my consignment to be shipped to Thailand, during which time I was fobbed off and mislead. Now I have been informed that they have ceased trading, and I will now have to incurr a lot of additional costs to finally be reunited with my goods. Like other reviewers here, I have emailed and have very limited information returned from Simpsons, and no chance of any refund or compensation due to no longer being covered with BAR. I am seriously out of pocket due to a muppet company that has no concerns or remorse for their dearly paying customers. Im sure the directors of the company can sleep well in their beds( still waiting for mine), and will live very comfortably on mine and others hard earned money. An utter shambles.

I’m actually annoyed that I have to give one star. Unfortunately our story is the same...lies, deceit and complete disregard for anyone else.
Booked a ten box pre-ship to leave several months before our departure from the UK to Australia, with the majority of our belongings to follow. This would mean that all our summer clothing and essentials would be waiting for us when we arrived, and we could do some travel on the way and only carry basics with us. Great plan, but how wrong we were.
After a WHOLE lot of trouble even with the pick up of the boxes, we decided to cancel the main ship and go with another company, a fortuitous decision.
To summarise a long, arduous story - our main shipment with Anglo Pacific was picked up in January and arrived to us at the beginning of March. Our first shipment (picked up in November) with Simpsons was still chilling in Kent.
Fortunately I was able to get Anglo Pacific to pick it up and it’s finally on it’s way to us. No refund, no help, absolutely nothing received from Simpsons. This has cost us in shipping and also in replacement of belongings so that we could live and work. The Ombudsman wouldn’t help as they lost their BAR membership in December. They’ve lost their IAM membership.
A thoroughly useless company, with rude, unhelpful staff, who have unsurprisingly now gone into administration. I post this in case they resurrect themselves and trade again. Even the email we received telling us so was a lie - a Trustpilot review below says they were told on the 12th April yet the email we received said it was just that morning - 17th April.
Please, save yourselves. Just don’t.
PS - Anglo Pacific were fantastic, highly recommended. Use them!

We paid for our shipping to be moved from UK to AUSTRALIA. Items collected in DECEMBER 2018 (inc Sons Xmas presents) Have been informed recently items are still in Chesterfield. They WILL NOT be shipped and they have refused a FULL REFUND.
Currently trying to get our goods back (At a further cost to ourselves) Reported to CA/Trading Standards and been advised to instruct a Solicitor for full refund.
COMPLETE RIP OFF - DO NOT USE.

That is pretty much a good description of what Simpsons is as a company. I entered into contract with Simpsons Removal for a simple part load move from London to Oslo. From the moment we paid them entirely (before receiving our boxes…) it became difficult to get help from them. They lied to us on many things :
-The fact that they could send our boxes internationally
-When they became aware that they could not send our items
-The fact that they didn’t have a Warehouse manager/forklift driver available to make our items available for collection from another removal company when I asked them with enough buffer (2 days) and upon their own advice
-The fact that certain persons were not available to talk to me, and even department being available or not
Further to all of that, I have asked for a full refund due to a breach of contract. But they deny the breach of contract and are only willing to pay me back less than half of my quote. I have told them that I am not willing to accept a number without seeing invoices, TimeSheet, etc. to actually back it up. Because it was not broken down in the quote and because it is unreasonable (they basically took our boxes from London to Dartford and stored them).
But above all, they have been rude to me the whole time. When I call, no one is available or now they even hung up the minute they see my phone number.
Yesterday I flew from Oslo to London to see what they have done with my boxes, they refused to show them to me. I have asked them to let me in their office, so I can speak with someone with sufficient authority to review my refund, and they refused, pretending that no-one was there even though I heard several voices through the intercom. I’ve proven them they lied and offered to wait in the reception until a Manager has finished his/her lunch and they refused again. They left me out.
Finally someone started talking to me (but no even in the office), and he admitted that they were not good but he could not help me and nobody in the office was willing to discuss.
I have paid £1,165 for a service I don’t have, I am not refunded, I didn’t get my items ready when asked, people are lying to me and left hanging dry. I feel bullied. All I got from them is disrespect.
My boxes are now with a different company but I am still waiting for them to refund me.

I used a lady called Sue Bacon I trusted her and her promises they were a good reliable honest company I had my whole house furniture clothing kids Christmas presents bikes the lot shipped

The company came packed my house the container came off it went. I contacted her that day for a shipping number to track my container she said she would email it iover she never did
I waited 3 weeks and nothing in constant contact with them pacified emails, I then contacted the destination they had no clue about container was arriving I knew something was wrong. I started to call email same pacified saying they will cover cost Incase of a late fee on the destination the container arrived 2 weeks ago I AM NOW HAVING TO PAY THE LOT AGAIN TO CMA AMS. As Simpson’s have paid nothing they took my money have refused pay shipping company the destination nor the delivery of the container at my destination. I’m now paying late fees plus a fine each day as my paperwork is not complete you need a BL. Number to complete your cargo I have had to get a loan to pay for the cargo to be paid again. this has caused so much distress and pain sleepless nights upset kids as they might not see there new bikes and toys how can a company do this this is my whole house my whole life, I’m still waiting as it’s not an easy process it taken CMA AMS. Over a week now to try change paperwork I’ve had to instruct a solicitor to try get my money back plus contacted trade standards I’ve contacted Simpson’s with over 75 emails to date to MELANIE SIMPSON THE DIDECTOR and a manager called John and no reply I’ve asked to speak with finance they refuse I’ve recorded all my conversations and have proof... please NO ONE use this company as you will loose everything like I have I’ve been told the container may be confiscated as it has no paperwork, if you read this and you go ahead with this company I’m sorry you will be writing a similar review please avoid Simpson’s. I’m more than happy for anyone to contact me as I’ve proof plus Simpson’s if you want Do the right thing and pay the bill you owe to CMA AMS and SWIFT. To date they have not contacted me but have told CMA AMS they WILL NOT PAY THEM .....AVOID AVOID AVOID if you use them you will be in thousands pound debt

Was our worst experience! We moved to Cyprus last year at the end of Jan 2018 and were told that the shared container would arrive 6 - 8 weeks later. So we planned to get the house cleared on 16th Jan and expected the stuff to arrive latest at the end of March. Which would be 10 weeks - due to winter time and less movings. But it arrived another 6 weeks later!! We had to live from 2 suitcases in an empty house for 4 months. Worst time ever!! Luckily I could work with my laptop - services over the internet, but my partner couldn´t because of lack of equipment. So we lost a lot of money! When we finally got the message that our container was shipped - there was a sudden incident in one harbour - the crane got broken!! What a stupid lie!! There are several cranes on a harbour and not just one, so there is enough substitution. It was just to stop us calling - and another 2 weeks of delay. Of course we had to pay the company at the harbour also (like the review before) and this one they don´t tell you.
In the end when the things arrived - there were many things lost. At least 1 or 2 boxes. Because they didn´t arrive in the wooden crate anymore in which they were collected. So they were single boxes and stuff and you can´t control everything immediately. And we had to work under pressure and needed time to open all boxes - that needed longer than 4 weeks. I was also tired of speaking to them. The men tried to be quite helpful and friendly, but the women were really unfriendly and never answered a mail after 2 approaches.
So I never let them know that some things were missing - just after some time some things came up in our mind that haven´t arrived. Finally my desk chair got broken after a couple of weeks. Because the things I guess were not really moved carefully, so the chair leg got a crack and I fell down on the stone floor. Could have broken everything or be dead - there was a wooden cabinet next to my head.
So DON`T USE this company.

They charged me for 20 boxes when I only had 10 boxes transferred... Told me different lies every time I asked why I was being charged so much.... They never respond to calls or emails unless they are asking you to pay... They don't pay the shipping company (transport from UK to New Zealand) nor do they pay the agent in New Zealand so I'm being charged again as they don't pay their 3rd party... The third party emailed me to tell me that they can't get Simpsons to pay on the contract they arranged therefore I can't get my goods unless I pay the remaining balance.. I stay up late to call simpsons in the UK to ask why they won't pay and every time the payment team and managers are in meetings... They are liers.

Avoid avoid avoid at all costs...we trusted Simpson’s with our relocation to Australia back in May 2018 and we are still awaiting delivery of our belongings! Despite being assured of a quick transfer, our container did not leave England until November 2018! When it eventually reached Perth on 17 December we were excited to think we may have our long awaited belongings for Xmas- however, in January 2019 we were distraught to learn that our container could not be processed as Simpson’s had failed to pay the freight and destination costs!! We received a harrowing letter requesting further payment in order for our goods to be released from customs and delivered!! Three months on and we are still awaiting Simpson’s to make the destination payment which is now progressively incurring storage costs! We had relatives visit us in February and had to go and buy another sofa, mattress, kitchenware etc just to accommodate them, not to mention all the sentimental items we are missing. Simpson’s have well and truely made an already stressful, emotionally and financially challenging life changing process even more difficult... 10 months and still waiting for our belongings! We are sleeping on a mattress on the floor! Shame on you Simpsons! We kept our contractual obligations- but you have neglected yours! And we took the contract out with the assurance of BAR membership which has since been revoked and are no longer covered by BAR or the furniture ombudsman... tread with caution! Hoping trading standards take heed of our complaint ...

My daughter paid this company back in May 2018 to transport her goods from the uk to Australia, and they still have not received them, 10 months down the line, Directors do not answer emails, are they hoping we go away ? I don't think so.!! Do the right thing and pay the final payment to Conroys and let my daughter have her belongings

I sent a cargo To Colombia, and they Failed in ensure with the company there about the payments, about the veracity of the charges or any sudden changes made. I had to pay with my own money to another company to release my furniture. Is not a nightmare is something worse, and I'm still waiting for the reimburse

Truly disappointing, not what was promised and still waiting
Our items were promised in 8-10 weeks. Packed the 14 December. Have not left the UK yet.
Out items were more then expected, received an invoice the next day for payment.
We had to follow up consistently, with no joy. I had to do homework to suggest giving us a 20ft container. Would be the same costing as a group-age cost as we have enough stuff for a full container.
I have trying to get a response from the 9th January
This is such terrible service.
I am still awaiting my goods to be sent.

If this was the only removal company…
If this was the only removal company available in the UK I would not choose it. The service I have received it totally unprofessional and this company has no regard whatsoever for customer service or communication. My container which was packed by "Our experienced staff are experts in shipping personal possessions safely and carefully to new destinations around the world, so, if you’re in need of a reliable and trustworthy removals company to move you from home to home, we’re here for you." It arrived at destination port over 8 weeks ago but due to an alleged cash flow problem ( as advised by one of their staff ) the invoice to the port has not been paid and hence the good cannot be released.
The company which "No matter what type of moving service you are looking for, our removals team can look after you." have not looked after me by any definition of the word - no one responds to my emails or phone calls. Although when I do speak to someone I am advised " head office are sorting it "
Choose any company but not this one ... for the sake of your possessions, stress management and quality of life.

I cannot express quite how dreadful they are. I had to pay for their so called partners to release my goods after they would not pay them. Avoid at all costs!

FIRST AVOID , two days short of 1 month and still waiting for a box of items sent from the Uk to Thailand by air freight ( quoted 5 to 9 days ) . From incorrect quotes sea not air , to constantly chase them for answers to my questions , after two weeks of sitting in the sun I think ?????? Where is my stuff , so I email and get a reply saying it’s still at heathrow airport , are there any lithium ion batteries in the box , so I said you know the answer to this as you asked me if any of restricted items where in the box , so I went to where the box was located for pick up and removed them and they traveled in my hand luggage , this left me thinking how long would it be sat at the airport for if I had not chased it up . So eventually I get a flight number and time for my stuff to leave for its new life in Thailand ( to good to be true you are thinking ) CORRECT and the reason I get the flight was full , so I sit and wait and chase finally 2days later my stuff leaves the uk . Happy days you are now thinking WELL not just yet , I get a e mail from the airport saying this is to port only and not door to door and also does not include customs clearance , so yet again it’s down to me to to send proof of what I have paid for , still to date I have had no contact from the agents who are working for Simpson’s at this end of the world , so in short keep your money arrange it all yourself , because you will be doing most of the leg work yourself anyway . OK it’s been around a week now and still no box , I have posted a picture so you all know I am not talking a shipping container “just a box” , the company responsible for the onward journey in Thailand did there best to hide the the real reason for my box not being delivered to me ( my wife’s uncle is a police General so if he asks a question he will get the answer ) . 🤔🤔🤔 could be a million reasons your thinking , earthquake , Tsunami , NO after two weeks of asking Simpsons have still not paid the sum of $530 to the Thai company for completing the relocation of my belongings so they are now holding back on the delivery until this bill is paid . Yet again I emailed the chesterfield depot to the manager there but now no reply to this mail , so as the saying goes PAY PEANUTS AND YOU GET MONKEYS , except in this case I did not pay peanuts but guess what I GOT . So I think you now get the idea now , hope you all have a successful and stress free move .
