They don't back what they sell!

I purchased a rechargeable pen light for almost $100.00, BECAUSE I was "Guaranteed" that I would able to get replacement parts indefinitely. I had no other reason to purchase for that price. I currently need a replacement battery.
I called their number 1-877-762-7664. The girl very politely told me that they no longer carry that model or parts and that "I" could contact the manufacturer to try to figure something out. I paid $94 for the GUARANTEE. When I asked about replacing the light with the newer model, she said No, because the tool itself didn't have a lifetime warranty (* I was told by the salesman that it DID. it just wouldn't cover bulb or battery *). I will no longer purchase any tools from snap on. I've been turning wrenches since I built my first car at 15 (over 35yrs ago). Gonna have to find a new tool source that actually means what it says and honors it's word. Incredibly disappointed that they'd rather lose future business than make it right, and I told her this.

No longer a snap on fan!

Wow. Incredibly incompetent.

Wow. Incredibly unprofessional and inappropriate response when I made a complaint. The worst possible response in fact, and from a company which knows its reputation is trash, and had every opportunity to deal with my complaint correctly. Snap-On used to be a respected brand, but this interaction shows precisely why their brand is now utter garbage.

Bought snap on as told they are the best tools
I have to disagree tools failing within a few months of purchase and customer service is very poor.
You can’t contact the local rep when told to return for warranty
Poor product poor service
I will be going to another manufacturer

Roscoe Patos

Roscoe Patos, is the worst of the franchisee for snap-on tools! He had the audacity to text my phone late at night (10pm) and demand money that I owe for a pry bar set. I have text messages from him being unprofessional, rude, and discriminating. Calling me a low life, a liar, an idiot. If this is the kind of people that snap-on tools wants to represent their name and tools, I’ll run for the hills and disappear. My wife was sleeping at this time and she got so angry because of what Roscoe Patos was doing. I called corporate and made the complaint, and not mention, I requested for him to never appear at my job again. I have never seen or heard of such hateful words coming from a supposed stand up guy that turned into a complete ignorant person! I told corporate I really don’t want to pay him the money back due to his actions and words used on me. I will never buy from snap-on again!

My husband was a mechanic and has had a revolving account for years. He recently passed and this company started blowing his phone up 1wk after demanding their items back. He has a huge box that was purchased from them and I let them come and get it and they agreed to call the even on the account. I have no clue what he bought or had on this revolving account, but they have continued to start calling my phone demanding all these additional items. They claim they are going to take further action. My name is no where on this account and I was not even aware of what he ever got from them. This is a horrible company. Can they not just let the deceased rest in peace. Most companies have to have a copy of a death certificate for the person on the account and then it is written off. Please people think about your loved ones before purchasing anything from this company.

What a waste of time, poor customer service and ignorant franchisee!

What a waste of time. Snap on reps never turn up despite repeated requests to facilitate our sites and repeated empty promises that they will be there next week never transpire.
The local rep, Stuart Tyrrell has no customer service skills whatsoever!
Snap on state/believe that they are the market leader, yet they allow their franchisees to run their business in such shameful manner.
Best using other brands which have now surpassed Snap On by a country mile.
Customer service is non existent.
Not just my opinion i might add, this is widely spoken about in the motor trade and Snap On clearly choose not to act on feedback!

zero stars is more appropriate! Theyre a bunch of scammers! selling you machines with expriring sensors and no one told us! mahcine was $15,000 and no one told us the sensors expire every 4 yrs! $800 for a new sensor...total BS

I expected high quality and got a defective electric ratchet. Not knowing how theyre supposed to perform i assumed it was just sluggish. Eventually the tool guy exchanged it for a loaner. 2 weeks go by and my tool is on back order. This is not high quality. I asjed for a refund and got back half my money. I will NEVER buy snap off again

over the years I’ve spent thousands & thousands on snap on tools now I work in a different garage with a different snap on guy I’ve asked him to replace my broken socket It’s obvious that he’s just fobbing me off saying that he hasn’t got one making me feel because I’ve not bought anything from him he’s not going honour the lifetime warranty

Been buying snap-on tools for around 30 years .Recently you order tools from tool truck you might get them in 2 months . Stops at shop next door to sell tools and collect money from them but not my shop by the time you notice him he out of parking lot so you can't pay them been 2 weeks now just waiting on him to come and say he's repo tools cause of payments going to pay him off and never buy another snap on tool again very dissatisfied with this company . Clint Aleshire misrepresented the price of a tool chest. Will not take it back. Have had it one week never used. Trying to make me pay 5000 to take back.
Very unreasonable. Would NEVER recommend purchasing anything from his truck! He is a liar and a con artist!!

ive had a tool chest on order for going on 7 months was supposed to have it after 3 months but was told it was ordered wrong they are giving me the run around avoiding calls and no straight answer wish i could give it a negative 10 but wont let me very unsatisfied been a customer for over 20 years they lost my business will never buy again

I am a student with the sep program and I purchased tools . after I received the tools and a lot of them where in non working condition, chrome scraped off those expensive wrenches, grease built up from use, hammer came all cracked on the face of the deadblow soft, screw driver came broke already the Philips side warped, you know all of this when I bought 12k in tools from them, It is a hassle for a student to warranty anything my so called snap on guy we got to go through is very unprofessional rarely answers the phone or email , customer service for students is a complete run around. they tell you there's nothing they can do I have to go through a person who is difficult to get a hold of. Come on snap on get your shirt together, yeah us students are rookies but we still deserve some professionalism for those type of prices. Won't be buying anything from snap on until you people send me my screw driver that I warrantied but never got back and can't get ahold of no one. Us students use these tools to learn with, we can't learn if you all can't send us are tools back from warranty, also please look into who is sending used tools. I wasn't even proud to show anyone due to the condition I received my tools in. I took the time out hoping maybe someone who cares about snap on can correct these issues I shouldn't receive wrenches were copper is showing everywhere, some have welds that make that wrench useless. I payed a lot of money to be treated like this.
