RUN the other way

We were members of Solidarity for two years and it was nothing short of a nightmare. We have medical needs that are almost 2 years old that have not been paid, one bill was sent to collections and another 3 are about to go into collections, others we just had to pay ourselves to avoid collections, we paid thousands of dollars more for procedures than we would have had with insurance because providers in our area do not accept health sharing companies as "insurance," (which is not surprising when healthshares do not pay) and it has been a part time job to keep up with all the needs, requests for information already filed and phone calls and emails to stay on top of things. They do not put forth the Catholic ideal -- Christ would never treat others this way.

Crazy how much of a scam solidarity is

Crazy how much of a scam solidarity is. Our sons hospital bill went unpaid for over 2 years. After about 30 plus phone calls and random “we’ll call you back” or “my manager isn’t in the office” excuses was insane. No way to keep track of anything that was submitted. Has complained of “new system” since 2019. Was a member for over 5 years and gladly left while I still had money in my pocket. Have gotten multiple families in our Catholic community off of Solidarity, the word is spreading of this scam company! Go look at all of their social media pages! Also the BBB has given notice to this company. Check out the HORRIBLE ratings and growing! Justice will be served. Run while you can!

Solidarity is un-christian and will not share your expenses!

After spending over $30,000 in Voluntary Monthly Share Contributions since 2017, we received no more than $300 in shared expenses (reimbursement). Based on the membership guidelines, I was fully expecting Solidarity to share my colonoscopy screening expenses. After 16 months, they never did. Each time I or my doctor's office called regarding the delay, we received a different story from the representative. My daughter-in-law gave birth almost 2 years ago, and Solidarity never paid a dime in shared costs for that event. I have moved on now to a trustworthy organization, but the cost of my screening will be out of my pocket. Solidarity is not conducting business as a Christian organization and not paying shared expenses. They will gladly take your monthly contribution, but do not expect to see any sharing in return. I can only imagine the pocket linings of the CEO and company executives.

Caution before Purchasing!!!!

I signed up with Solidarty Health share 4 years ago in 2019. I was happy with the plan until I needed to use it. in 10/2022 I needed a small procedure and was told it was not accepted, I contacted Solidarty and they informed me I can pay out of pocket and be reimbursed. I did just that. I submitted the required documentation to start the reimbursement. Ive been told over and over again they were backed up and implementing an new system and my check is next in line. It has been 15 months! I still get the same answer when I check in. I have since went to a legitimate Insurance company and I called to cancel Solidarty only to learn if I cancel I will not receive the money for the claim, even though I had coverage at the time of the loss!! The process has proven to me we get what we pay for. I would discourage anyone from using Solidarty as a health care provider. I will take this as a lesson learned and be grateful my bill was only 8,000 and not 100,000.
Please consider other options when choosing health coverage. This Company is not equipped to handle the costs and administration necessary to the needs of the subscribers.

Do Not Go With Solidarity - Never Ever!

We have been long term customers (over five years) and at best we can say is that Solidarity is a type of Ponzi scheme. Bottom line is they don't pay your bills! They have promised to pay into our surgeries, we have had everything pre-authorized, and set up prearranged, negotiated pay agreements between Solidarity and our providers all to little avail. The bottom line is they will process your paperwork, look for reasons to deny your claim, eventually tell you your bill has been approved for sharing and then years later, you will find that they still haven't paid! And while our providers have received payments for small things, expect to wait at least two - three years for any payment on bigger expenses like surgeries. We have had to pay our providers out of pocket, even when Solidarity has pre-agreed to pay, simply because Solidarity pays so very slowly. Doctors and hospitals can't be expected to wait forever. As a result, we have been threatened by collection agencies, paying our bills out of pocket in order to save our credit rating. Solidarity's people on the phone make you think payment is just around the corner, but it's just not the case. Be very careful if you join Solidarity, Yes, the pricing is attractive, but know - your money is going to pay someone else's bills which like ours, are three years old! i hope they don't go bankrupt before they share into our approved bills!

Yes, it's Catholic....but they don't pay your bills!

We have a $16K hospital birth bill from 19 months ago that still hasn't been paid. We have creditors after us. Every time we call they say the bill is "in its final stage of processing." We can't even jump to another Healthshare because we're still in holding. We can't even get pregnant until this bill is paid! We're at our wits end. Stay away!

Stay away at all cost.

Stay away! Having Solidarity Healthshare is worse than having no health insurance.
We have had a nightmare experience with Solidarity.

In a nutshell they "lose" the bills you send them that they are a supposed to pay. They will reprice the other bills to ridiculously low amounts and then fail to pay them in a timly manner. Because of the repricing process you will have tofight on the phoneo for hours or pay the balance later when the hospital sends a balance bill to you. They won't pay past what you've already shard into the account.

Solidarity is worse than having no health insurance or HealthShare. It's such a shame that they pretend to be Catholic but have just caused so much stress and hardship for my family.

No service

Had a claim for a "wellness" visit in May of 2022. I call them every week and they always say it is scheduled to be paid. The visit was almost 2 years ago and so far nothing.

Absolutely the WORST "MANAGEMENT" in…

Absolutely the WORST "MANAGEMENT" in the History of business...
They hide and play with members feelings, and gullibility.. on the guise that they are religious or a Christian order... See Judas Iscariot 😳
Nobody makes a decision that's beneficial for anybody just like the current "presidential administration"
It's a joke and ...
It's like border control 🤢🤢🤢

Solidarity was an alternative that we…are sorry we enrolled

Solidarity was an alternative that we thought would make a difference . However my wife has had many issues on the phone for hours trying to find out when our bills from July ,August and September of 2022 would be paid, in VAIN! They are always processing however never getting our claims paid which are ALWAYS accumulating interest on our credit card. It is shameful because they advertise very well yet don't follow through with their end of the contract, like a good Christian should . Planning on getting a lawyer to enforce this process, it is sad it has to come to this. Mark Mangam.

Solidarity Healthshare isn't worth even…

Solidarity Healthshare isn't worth even a 1 star review. They have not covered 2 of my babies births through obscure rules- like you only have a narrow 6 week window in which to submit all the bills for the birth. I was unaware of this, not reminded by them of the obscure timeline, and ultimately they covered nothing. NOTHING. The fact that they were informed and sent all the prior payment information before the birth didn't matter. We jumped through every pre-notification hoop they required and paid up front for our midwife as they encourage paying in cash to take advantage of any discounts. HUGE MISTAKE.
This is a company preying on young families seeking to support likeminded companies who will steward the dollars wisely. They do not do this, have a severe backlog, and will never give you a straightforward answer to your questions. Avoid and safe yourself the nightmare.

This is the worse insurance ever

This is the worse insurance ever! Our practice have several claims outstanding from April 2023. Called today and was told they are still processing and they are backlogged from 2021. Really?? I get the same answer each time I have called. It took forever to get paid for 2022 claims as well. I do not recommend this insurance!

We have been with Solidarity for 5…

We have been with Solidarity for 5 years. It started out great. But for the last 3 years, the reimbursement and processing has slowed down considerably. I am not provided straight answers as it seems no one ever knows when items will be reimbursed once items are processed. The monthly charge is now way too much to deal with the admin issues. While they promote themselves as having providers that work with them and bill directly, I have yet to deal with a company that is willing to bill Solidarity directly.

One star too many

One star too many - it's usually hyperbole to say I'd leave a negative review if I could, but if I could, I would. Their policy of only paying bills if you're an active member at payment time, combined with their policy of picking the payment time themselves and refusing to give any indication of when/if it will come, leaves you with the option of paying them essentially extortion money in the hopes that eventually they'll pay your bills (or reimburse you if you've had to pay them yourself to avoid going to collections, or just gone to collections and had to pay there), or cutting your losses with what you already paid them because at some point, you'll have paid them more than your bills would be anyway (potentially a lot more, since they can raise their rates in the middle of it all and still give no indication of when they'll pay your bills - even ones you got pre-authorization from Solidarity for).

Extremely dissatisfied

My wife and I have been very frustrated and dissatisfied with Solidarity - has anyone else been having the same experience? It took them no time at all to get new cards out after the birth of our second son, but bills from August are still in "processing" limbo, with no communication as far as what that actually means. I have called them repeatedly with no real answer. The closest thing I got to what I believe to be the truth is "We pay them in batches, as funds become available." Which tells me Solidarity doesn't have the funding necessary for this kind of project.

My wife and I were very excited to find SHS - but every time we have submitted a bill, it has become an utter hassle where "Oh it didn't have the right codes" - well hang on, that is the bill the provider gave to us, AND every major one we have been to said "we don't bill health shares directly as a matter of policy." So the whole sales pitch that SHS is super easy and simple, "just have them bill us directly" has not been true at all.

Plus it is not only extremely annoying to have a bill kicked back without any contact or communication, after waiting over a month, but to also call in only to discover that SHS made an error and have them "re-process" over the course of another month. (They even erroneously began charging us extra as if I was enrolled in the health-program, i.e. high-risk individual, when that was utterly false - fortunately I was keeping a close enough eye on our account).

SHS mentions that providers need to bill you in a timely manner - well, SHS needs to provide reimbursement in a timely manner. Again, this has been very disappointing. I have good friends who have had even worse experiences (Like the wife being told her surgery for appendicitis wasn't eligible, since it wasn't necessary?!)

We have had SHS for two years now, but with their recent price hike, it is now more affordable to go back to my insurance through work (Yes! I had perfectly good insurance, but switched to SHS in 2021 since I loved their Catholic stance and mission ... but practically, it has been so unhelpful for us, and frustrating).

They used to list their rating from here on TrustPilot.com on the SHS website, but that is no longer visible - I find it indicative that they no longer show the TrustPilot.com link on their website ... after I mentioned it in one of my calls to SHS.
