Possibily the worst factoring and invoicing company I have been introduced to. From Damon Chapple (CEO) to the bottom, Sonovate as a business do not understand how to adhere to TCF. when you choose to leave the business that's when you really find out what a terrible organisation they are as they try to keep hold of your payments for over 30 days. If you are a recruitment agency or consultancy I would steer far away. Maybe try Zodeq Ltd as they are far better run business. Thankfully the FCA/FOS came to my rescue and we now await our date to take them to court.

Adam Ellis has been a fantastic Customer Experience Manager for TECHNE. Whenever I’ve had an issue, he’s always been quick to step in and help, consistently going above and beyond to respond promptly by phone or email. He’s been incredibly supportive over the past 12 months, and it’s been a real pleasure working with him
Sonovate’s processes are unbelievably inefficient and, at times, borderline unworkable.
Their invoice approval system is excessively rigid and driven by pointless technicalities rather than common sense. Timesheets are rejected over trivial issues like minor spelling variations in a candidate’s name — issues that have zero impact on the accuracy of the hours worked or the legitimacy of the claim.
It gets worse. We’ve had client approval emails clearly confirming hours rejected purely because the time period wasn’t explicitly written as “that week” — despite the email being time-stamped and sent at the relevant time. This level of pedantry is absurd and completely out of touch with how real businesses communicate.
Invoices are also being rejected repeatedly because our standard terms state “7 days unless otherwise agreed,” even though agreed payment terms (14 or 30 days) are already in place with specific clients. This happens almost every week and creates constant, unnecessary admin and delays to payment.
On top of that, there is no proper support structure. You cannot speak to anyone directly — everything is forced through a ticket system that is slow, unresponsive, and ineffective. I’ve been trying to obtain account statements for over a week and still have nothing.
Overall, Sonovate’s processes are overly bureaucratic, inefficient, and completely lacking in practicality. What should be straightforward has been turned into a needlessly difficult and time-consuming exercise. This urgently needs a complete overhaul.

Really happy with Sonovate as a trusted service provider. I've been using their services for a number of years and once you understand how the product works and how to contact support, the product and service works like a dream. The GUI is slick and easy to use which for me, running a Tech recruitment business is important. I particularly value the flexibility they've shown me over the years in helping my clients pay and bill needs from PAYE contract for services, traditional contract billing and milestone engagements. Sonovate have been a true partner supporting me with all 3 solutions so I've not had to split my book, turn down business or engage another supplier. The relationship managers are excellent (in particular Jess Wigley) and I would wholeheartedly recommend Sonovate for any small business owner looking for a decent pay and bill or factoring service provider.

I would highly recommend Sonovate as a financing partner of choice going forward.
This is an extremely terrible company; their late payment policy is always subject to criticism, and their payment process is completely shameful and deserving of several complaints.
Just want to give a shout out to Stella and Lukasz both whom have been a huge help in the last month or so. Such a great support following up straight away to help with a couple of small issues.
Sonovate are extremely lucky to have them and thanks again for everything.
I'd like to highlight the outstanding customer experience and expedient problem resolution skills provided by Stellaurora, in dealing with an issue which was becoming potentially very difficult.
Stellaurora proved to be a very good listener/communicator who took on board our comments and subsequently resolved the issue in a very short period of time. Her assistance was greatly appreciated and clearly she is a great addition to the team at Sonovate. Great work!

This is probably one of the least customer service focused and poorly run businesses I have every encountered. Totally incompetent on so many levels it is astounding. Yes, they will fund you but don't expect any help aside from being told to raise a ticket. The amount of time and effort it has taken to communicate with them has watered down the value of the candidate placements we processed via them. They just will not communicate and, if you want to talk to someone to discuss an issue, then expect weeks before they commit to this. Please avoid and find another funding alternative
We have just started working with Sonnovate and the experience so far has been really pleasant. Shannon has been amazing and supportive throughout the whole process looking forward to working with the team in the future!
I can’t recommend Florence and Atiya highly enough! From the very beginning, they were incredibly helpful, making every step smooth and stress-free. Their professionalism really stood out – they were knowledgeable, reliable, and always willing to go the extra mile to ensure everything was done perfectly. On top of that, they are so friendly and approachable, which made the whole experience even better. It’s rare to find people who combine such a high level of skill with genuine kindness, but Florence and Atiya truly do. I wouldn’t hesitate to work with them again and I’ll definitely be recommending them to others.

The portal is easy to use and quite intuitive once you get used to it, however it doesn't matter how stupid the question, the help desk always find a solution and help you through the problem.
I have been dealing with Owen Oliver on the support team and he has been exceptional to work with. Always responding to any queries or questions I have and super efficient. Highly recommend Sonovate.
