Don’t waste your time or money

I ordered a dresser (through Amazon) at the beginning of August, 2025, to ensure that it would arrive at my home in time for me to build it and move it to our new place at the end of August. The delivery box was completely damaged upon delivery and literally thrown on my driveway. when I opened the box, almost every piece of the furniture was damaged. I contacted South Shore furniture and they asked me to make a list of all of the damaged pieces so that they could send me replacement parts. after making and sending them a list of the MANY replacement parts, I was told that was too many pieces to ship, so I would have to contact Amazon. I contacted Amazon, and initially was told that I would get a replacement dresser, but I would have to pay to ship the damaged one back (which was going to cost more than the dresser was worth). They eventually took ownership and agreed to replace the dresser without me paying to ship back the old one. Fast forward a few weeks…The new dresser was shipped but I kept it in the box until we moved into our new home. I started to assemble it and when I took out the pieces, the entire top part of the dresser was damaged and chipped. Again, I had to contact South Shore and have them ship a replacement part. Once it arrived (over a week later), I began to assemble the dresser. Everything was going well until I was almost finished. They mistakenly sent two of the same parts, which meant I had to drill my own holes into the piece and cross my fingers that it would work, which it did. Finally, when I was placing the drawers into the dresser, I noticed that the left side drawers would not close properly. They were drilled improperly and stick out no matter what we try to do to fix them. This furniture is GARBAGE and it’s worth your money AND time to pay more for another brand. Will never order from South Shore furniture (Canada) again.

WARNING!!!!

WARNING!!!!! Do not purchase furniture from this company! I purchased a platform captain bed with storage and a dresser, both orders are defective! The dresser is missing hardware and the pieces do not align correctly!
I will never purchase from this company again!

Warning

Warning! They sell furniture that does not meet safety standards for babies. We had to return our crib due to a Health Canada recall for non-compliance. They didn't even compensate us for the time lost in assembly and disassembly and for having to find a new crib at the last minute. Bad experience and bad customer service.

TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE

I spent an extra $50 to expedite the shipping of a bed, weighing about 150lbs. The bed came with NO hardware. I called customer service and asked them to overnight the hardware to me as I have a mattress arriving at my house in 3 days and need to put the bed together for my pregnant wife.

The customer service "hero" told me that it would take 2 to 3 weeks for the hardware to arrive. She also told me that there were no managers to speak to and that I would have to wait 2 days for them to reach out to me.

Absolute CRAP company that SCREWS customers and will not go out of its way to FIX THE PROBLEM!

Absolutely horrible

Absolutely horrible. Item came broke and doesn’t work well. They offered replacement parts with no way to return or refund. With places like Wayfair I’m not sure what they’re playing at with their poor customer service.
