Terrible Customer Service and Communication

We were supposed to receive 6 dining chairs, 2 of which were rolling chairs and a dining room table on Christmas Eve. We only received 4 chairs. The delivery driver could not tell us anything so when we called the store they told us the table was in Seattle and the other 2 chairs were out of the country. Why would they not tell us that when they scheduled the delivery? We already got rid of our old table and chairs in preparation so we have had no table which is very inconvenient for the holidays. We asked the manager of the store to give us a call. Have not been contacted and it is now the 27th. We went by the store earlier today to see if we could get more information. We were told the table was in the queue for delivery within the next couple of weeks. I then asked about the other 2 chairs which it seemed like they didn’t really know it was part of the order. When they were finally able to locate then they said they were on a boat and wouldn’t be here until the end of February and wouldn’t be delivered until sometime in March. We asked to speak with the manager and they told us she was busy and would put in a request for her to call us. How ridiculous is that. We are paying customers and she didn’t have time to talk with us or couldn’t be bothered. We have not heard anything.The lack of communication through this whole situation is what is the most frustrating and disappointing. I would not recommend doing business with this location. Maybe the other location is better, but I will not be buying anything else from them.

Would give 5 stars for the customer…

Would give 5 stars for the customer service at the store and the quality of the furniture. However the delivery experience was horrible. The delivery team damaged our home. We reached out to file a claim, but were totally ignored. Very disappointing, as we love our sofas and were extremely excited to order more.

Discussed with customer service.

We ordered our bedroom set in November of 2024. We have a sleep number bed. we were told by Daniela (store associate) that it would not be a problem to special order the bed frame to fit our King size sleep number bed. Since then, we have had three deliveries to our home, once every two months. It is still not right. They brought in McDowells to see if they could fix it. There fixes were not good for us. Now, we were told by Daniela that this was way past warranty. That is not our faults. We went to the store before our third delivery that if it did not work again, that we would return the bed frame. Daniela said OKAY, and that she would do the same thing. Here we are with no resolution, and they won't return it because of being a special order and past warranty. That is not our faults. They could not get it done like they said they could. Now we are supposed to eat the 1,500 hundred dollars for the bed frame. I am discussed with this company. They did not hold true to their word. We will never step back in that store again.

Rigid Customer Service

The company had inventory issue and could not deliver my furniture after waiting for almost 4 months. The furniture was scheduled to be delivered 4/4/25. Based on this I got my old furniture given away. on 4/2/25. But on 4/3 I weas notified that they are missing a piece of my furniture and could not be delivered complete. This was not acceptable to me and I am without the sofa to sit on.
I discussed several options with the Store Manager, He agreed with temporarily provide a Powerless Chair but the delivery would still be 2 weeks aways.
To provide Floor sample chair until my order was available by end of May was not the company policy.
Look at other stores for possible replacement was not in company policy.
Asked to provide some method to compensate was not possible as he agreed to provide a temporary replacement and not possible.
No regrets for having them miscalculate their inventory and delay my order as their company policies dictate how to handle customer and ensure the bottom line is maintained.
BEWARE when you have an order which is 10/12 weeks out as they do not know how to manage inventory only bottom line

Buyer beware!

Buyer beware!

I recently purchased a Stressless Admiral recliner chair at the Scandinavian designs store in Meridian, ID. The chair was sold as a floor model. I opted to have the chair delivered along with 2 other items, approximately 2 weeks after the purchase. At no point did the sales associate, Miranda, tell me that a floor model was sold "As is" with no returns possible and no care or service from the store.

Today, 8/17/24, the chair and the 2 other items were delivered. The chair now has a defect: The base's swivel has excessive play and squeaks. This play causes the chair to recline, even when it is in its most forward position, leading to a highly uncomfortable seating position.

Reaching out Scandinavian Designs' customer service via chat yielded no results. I was brushed off by a terse response stating that the chair was sold "as is". Calling the store was futile since no-one answered the phone

Stay away!! This store will gladly take your money and even more happily refuse to help if there is a problem with the product you purchase.

Poor quality and service.

I purchased three rooms of furniture including, sofa, platform bed, shelves, barstools, coffee table, patio set, etc. I paid for delivery and setup. Several pieces were badly scratched and most were dusty and worn looking. Assembled pieces were not sturdy. I returned most for credit and waited weeks for replacements. The staff I dealt with didn't follow through on anything. Ordered in February - final delivery June, refund of $1980 still waiting (it's September). I do like the Leende pieces I purchased (coffee table, low bookcase, nesting end tables and plant stands - good value).
