Sri Lanka In Style Avis 47

This was my third time and sadly my last time to use and recommend Sri Lanka In Style. The company may have changed owners as the last time we used them was in 2015. There were many hiccups during the planning as well as during the trip. I will highlight two for the sake of time.

First, the agent that was working with us went on holiday and was unresponsive. I requested that I be put in touch with another agent so that we can make payment and secure the hotel rooms. The new agent assured me that everything was taken care of however it was not. We lost the room that we wanted - the family room - in our first hotel. We were booking two and sometimes three rooms for our group and so early booking was necessary. The agent informed me that she reserved the suite for us instead and that it would be only for a "little but more". I refused to pay any more and finally she agreed to cover the extra cost of the suite.

Secondly, our itinerary showed three safari drives - one evening and two morning during our stay at Wild Coast Tented Lodge. At the conclusion of our second safari, our guide and driver informed us that they were unaware of our booking for the third game drive. I shared our itinerary with the hotel management and they informed us that our agent had not booked it with the hotel. However, the hotel handled it so beautifully. The manager said "If that is what your family planned, that is what you will do. You go and enjoy your afternoon and we will contact your agent to get it sorted." In the end, SLIS needed to cover the cost of the third game drive.

Finally, our driver during our first trip was so amazing that we requested him a second time when we visited ion 2015. This time our driver was friendly, punctual and organized however his level of English was not to the same standard as our experience in 2015.

Nicola from the head office was excellent as we were planning the trip, giving tailored advice based on our budget and the places we were interested in visiting.
The hotels offered were really good and at a good price.

Once we arrived, Lakshman our driver met us and the experience improved more and more. His knowledge of Sri Lanka is incredible and he's very friendly and happy to help where he can.
The hotels were incredible, we wanted a more luxury trip and each hotel reflected this. When we wanted something that Sri Lanka in Style couldn't offer (Kandy), we booked it ourselves and they worked it into the itinerary .

I've already recommended them to friends and would absolutely use them again.

Really enjoyed how Jayandi, Sasha, and Sali made my short trip to Sri Lanka effortless and enjoyable, from itinerary for airport dropoff! The team really took the effort to discover what I wanted from my time in Sri Lanka and tailored my very short time accordingly, providing multiple options at several price points. Highlights were smooth pickup experience from the airport and fast resolution of unexpected travel issues (train delay issues requiring a transit change, car issues). Hotel selection was top rate, as well as Sali’s knowledge of the various sites. I especially enjoyed the exploration of Buddhist temples including Temple of the Tooth, and touring through tea country and seeing how tea was harvested and processed. I appreciated how the team stayed in close contact with me for the duration of my time in Sri Lanka via WhatsApp, especially as a woman traveling alone. Improvements for the future would be omission of the unscheduled visit to the Tiesh by Lakmini gem showroom in Kandy, which I felt railroaded into and was a massive tourist trap complete with bus tours, and more options of what to do whilst in Colombo.

We had an incredible vacation to Sri Lanka in late December with our 2 daughters, ages 21 and 18. We had just celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary, and wanted to do something special with them.
We were there for almost 3 weeks and stayed in nine different boutique hotels. They were all great! Our guide was absolutely outstanding. He added so much to the trip by suggesting different things for us to do. We said yes to everything, and he was amazing getting us into various cultural events, restaurants, markets, and experiences. He was also very caring with our girls, when they were tired and needed a break. He had amazing passion for the country, and was so excited to show us the beauty, culture and history and eat incredible food. Unfortunately, we had a lot of rain, which was unusual for the time of year. He was able to be flexible and change our plans accordingly. He had a balance of humour and sensitivity, which we really appreciated.

The only thing we would have changed was the hotel when we were at the beach. It was a great resort, with amazing staff and food. The issue was that they played loud music from 12 noon to 12 midnight. It was simply too much, even for our young adult daughters. We were there for three nights, and would not recommend it for future guests for this reason.
It is obvious that there was so much care that went into planning our itinerary and making sure everything went smoothly. We had the staff checking in a few times, to make sure everything was going well, and that was a very nice touch. We also had various anniversary cards, cakes, and champagne when we arrived at hotels, such a warm and caring gesture.

We would highly recommend the travel company Sri Lanka In Style to our friends and family for any future trips. Thank you, Nicola and team!

We had a wonderful experience with Sri Lanka in Style. From the beginning, Dulmini was very easy to work with -- responsive and open to iterating on the itinerary over time. When we arrived in Sri Lanka, we met our driver, Sunil, who was fantastic. We felt completely safe and comfortable with him and would recommend traveling with Sunil to anyone. Throughout the trip, our experiences at each hotel and site were seamless, including when we got to the Maldives. We hope to come back to Sri Lanka soon!

Sri Lanka in Style arranged the most perfect itinerary and could not have looked after us more at each step along the way. The trip was well paced, the accommodation recommendations very considered, and all logistics were completely straightforward. Highly recommended.

My wife and I went to Sri Lanka for our Honeymoon in early August. Although we unfortunately tested positive for Covid on arrival, Lahiru and Chami from Sri Lanka in Style were incredibly attentive and made our time in isolation much lighter. After we got discharged from the Level 1 Hotel, we were able to resume our journey as initially planned and the rest of the trip turned out very well.

With ever-changing rules and hotel policies derived from the pandemic, having personalized assistance and local knowledge was supremely helpful. Last minute changes in the itinerary will happen, and we would had found it very hard to solve them ourselves.

The vehicle provided by the company was also in very good shape. Our guide Chami was very knowledgeable, always on time and making sure we made the best of our experience. His knowledge of local spots, hiking trails, and bird watching were really nice to have on our trip.

We also had the fortune of having a nearly empty country as a lock down was issued mid-august (tourists were exempt from curfews). This meant that we had most national parks and archaeological sites to ourselves when they are usually visited by the thousands. The safari outings in Yala and Kaudulla were our favorite as few jeeps allowed for us to freely roam the parks and watch elephants, leopards and dozens of birds up close.
The one disadvantage to traveling in an empty country was that some hotels lowered their service quality (short staffing, no spa or pool, average food), and public restaurants and shops were closed. This was particularly sad in Colombo, where we absolutely everything was closed. However, not a problem at all in boutique and private locations such as Ceylon Tea trails, which was flawless and very enjoyable.

For anyone thinking on going to Sri Lanka, I would definitely recommend Sri Lanka in Style for any kind of trip.

Everything was great and went as planned. All accommodations,arrangements, trips,guiding were excellent. Our guide Sachi was outstanding. Andrea's planning was just what we asked for. Completely enjoyed the trip.

Excellent service and superb follow-up. Very satisfied and would recommend.
Our driver and guide, Sachi Fernando, was very knowledgeable, attentive, punctual and a true delight to interact with. He really made this trip come alive. I would again recommend him to anyone ( and I will do so).

transported back to colonial times made to feel as
if each house was your own-- with wonderful service and

My entire trip was perfect thanks to Nicola and all her planning. From the moment we arrived at the airport until the day we left it was amazing. Having someone in Sri Lanka who really knows the country and the best things to see and do was the key to our wonderful trip. Nicola talked me into a few hotels and activities and they ended up being my favorite part of the trip-- and without her help I wouldn't even have known. I'm telling everyone i know to go to Sri Lanka and to use Sri Lanka in Style.

Nirosh was a Very good driver and accomplished guide always on time and had good ideas on activities to cram into our over-active schedule. He took us to great restaurants, spice gardens, temples and other sites. He added enormously to the great experience of Sri Lanka.

Everything was perfect, from our driver and guide, Priyantha, to the choice of visits and activities. I would recommend everyone wanting to visit Sri Lanka to contact this agency.

We have used Sri Lanka in Style many times - for family holiday travel around SL and have also recommended them to friends. We have found their extensive knowledge and advice a huge help in deciding what to visit and how best to do this. The company is efficient, their guides are excellent and the vehicles and drivers they use are very good. I would definitely recommend them for anyone planning holiday travel in SL.

I can't imagine a better vacation. We were treated like royalty from the time we arrived. I literally never had to lift my luggage the whole time we were in Sri Lanka. Our driver, Daminda, made us feel secure and confident everywhere we went. All of the guides, artists, and other people we met were so nice. We were welcomed warmly and treated like honored guests. Andrea set up interesting and exciting things to do, and enough relaxation time that we were able to enjoy everything energized and ready for the next adventure. If we return to Sri Lanka, we will definitely be using Sri Lanka In Style.

Todos los servicios contratados fueron excepcionales excepto el hotel Fort Printers que no recomiendo en ningún caso. Es un hotel muy ambicioso sin embargo carece de buen servicio, nos cobraron 50 dólares más por noche (5 noches ) por un servicio que desde la agencia ya se había contratado. El spa estaba sucio .
En general recomiendo el viaje a Srilanka con Sri Lanka in style.Muy buen servicio y gracias a Rafa por todo.

We had a fantastic trip and Dulmini from SriLanka in Style organised everything perfectly. Accommodation was all as expected, lovely places. We had a lovely and professional driver Upal and really no complaints at all.

Sri Lanka in Style helped us to plan our ideal holiday. Nothing was too much trouble as we considered many options and made arrangements through them of places to travel and stay. Our driver was excellent and the whole trip was faultless. Our agent followed up to ensure we were safe and to offer support during the sad days after the 2019 bombings occurred. I would definitely recommend the travel company and this beautiful country.
