Once account is set up and you adhere to policy, everything runs smoothly. You are kept informed of bookings, dates, etc. Good company to go with if renting your car parking space.

Ignored identity fraud, sent bailiffs instead

I reported identity fraud to Stashbee in March after discovering my stolen driving licence had been used to open an account in my name. They responded and claimed they’d investigate — but did absolutely nothing. The account remained active for months. I received no follow-up, no resolution, and now I’m being chased by a debt collection agency for £523, even though I never opened or used the account. I provided proof of a police report (Action Fraud), confirmed a legal name change, and informed them directly that this was a case of identity theft. Their response? Send my details to a bailiff. I’ve now escalated this to the ICO, the Financial Ombudsman, and lodged a second fraud report. The case is being looked at seriously — just not by Stashbee. I strongly advise against trusting this company with any of your data.

Scam

I rented a parking space for my non functioning car and arranged transport for another 100 pounds.
On the day the rental was supposed to start I have received a message that this is a scam.

There is no option to phone the company (or they say email or chat - you get automatically dismissed from the chat after they send you an email with refund).

There is no option to speak with the parking space owner beforehand (unless you pay/book) which is a huge problem.
It leaves me with a lot of issues where the car is now parked and with a minus of 100 pounds for the transport I have arranged.

I have to also post the conversation I had with the team. How they deny everything is unacceptable.

Message from the host today:
I don’t have this parking anymore and don’t recall ever using this platform to hire out parking. I haven’t lived at this address for over 3 years. Please don’t send money. This might be a scam

We want to clarify what happened and, more importantly, show you that we take situations like this seriously. The Host you booked with did originally create their Stashbee listing and logged into their account to message you and cancel the booking. While we can’t explain why they used the word “scam,” we can confirm they were the original owner. It’s likely they simply forgot to remove the listing after moving house.

As soon as we were made aware the space was no longer available, we immediately removed it and issued you a full refund. As a goodwill gesture, we also added £50 in Stashbee credit to your account, and we’d love to help you find a reliable alternative.

We completely understand the inconvenience caused, especially with the transport arrangements. While the payment was made directly to a third-party provider, they are one of our trusted partners and are usually very understanding about situations like this. We recommend getting in touch with them and we're happy to support that conversation if helpful.

For full transparency, here’s the complete message originally sent by our team:

"Hello Lucia,

All went smoothly

All went smoothly on the day. The lock up was clean and almost new. The site was tidy and security looked good with coded entry both in and out.

Misleading adverts and no support from Stashbee

I needed a garage to fit my car. I found the perfect fit through Stashbee - 20 ft long, with light and other facilities. When I went to park, the garage did not fit my car which is 14 ft 9. A bit of a problem since that is why I rented it. No refund and no contact from Stashbee. Edit: Stashbee have since refunded fees quickly, my concern about advert accuracy remains.

Poor experience - will never use again

Poor experience as booked two separate parking via the site with the first one immediately cancelling and saying there was an issue with the listing on Stashbee and the second one being unresponsive with Stashbee cancelling the booking after 2 days.

Sure, Stashbee refunded my money and gave me a £20 credit but obviously no plans to use the site ever again
