Good experience

I first went to THCP about five years ago during one of the lockdowns. I’ve been very impressed with the care I’ve received. My current audiologist, Rebecca Wylie, does a fantastic job, she is very thoughtful and goes to a lot of trouble to find out all she can about my hearing problems, and she is so good at explaining what she’s doing and what the hearing test results mean. The warranty on my hearing aids is coming up to expiry, but I shall get a new pair (an improved model) and another five years of warranty with free appointments. I’m glad I can afford to go to a private audiology company because the level of care I receive is excellent. And my audiologist, Rebecca Wylie, does a fantastic job. My appointments with her have been a total pleasure, and I’m very glad to be under her care.

Hearing aid success

My mum had a hearing test with Elaine Clifford , at Lunettes, Ruskington, Lincolnshire, from the start Elaine has been friendly, and very understanding, explaining everything with patience, mum now has hearing aids and is managing them very well, couldn't believe what she wasn't hearing!

I can hear again!

I had ear wax removal in both ears over a couple of appointments. Emily was brilliant throughout—professional, reassuring, and she explained everything clearly. She took the time to make sure all the wax was removed safely and only worked when the wax was soft enough.

Since having the treatment, I can hear so much better and I no longer get any pain.

You removed a painful ear wax blockage…

You removed a painful ear wax blockage that others couldn't. This problem was causing me apart from the obvious hearing defect, painful earache and eye watering plus a sore, would you believe a niggling tooth, Rebecca (it took two attempts)) to clear my problem, now I find after maybe years? Everything is, till adjusted is to loud!!

Excellent Experience

Excellent Experience
I initially went to The Hearing Care Partnership for wax removal which including a hearing test. I was surprised to learn that my hearing was not as good as it had been and so accepted an invitation for a referral for a more thorough check.
I did not know what to expect but Celeste (de Freitas) put me at my ease with her friendly and professional explanations of what tests she was carrying out and why and what results she obtained and what that meant.
Having decided that I would benefit from hearing aids I returned a week later to learn how to use and care for them. Celeste was extremely good at explaining and provided me with very well written and easy to follow aide memoir" instructions.
I cannot offer any suggestions for improvements to the excellent service that I experienced and will recommend her to anyone seeking similar help.

An excellent and caring audiologist

This was my first appointment with Faisal, and when I arrived he was very welcoming. I did not know what to expect, but Faisal explained what he would be doing which quickly put me at ease, and also that I could ask him questions at any time. I was impressed with every stage of my appointment and pleased to have had such caring experience. Thank you!

First Class Experience

First class experience withJames Burt before during and after testing for / fitting new hearing aids here in Portishead. As a long-time wearer of aids and having moved west about ten years ago, I had struggled to find an audiologist who put the Customer at the centre of their consultations; the Hearing Care Partnership claimed to do this so I thought I would give them a try. Very grateful for the ongoing support as I get used to and gain confidence with my new aids.

I saw Kirsten today for wax removal and advice. She was very kind, knowledgeable and gentle when providing care. She gave me lots of great advice individualised to my current issues with my ears and hearing.

Unimpressed

The five year warranty was coming to an end. I booked a test and the aids were taken to be sent off for service and I was told to return in two weeks to collect them and to have wax removal. When I returned no one knew where my aids were. Tracking didn’t work. They were discovered sitting on the desk of the audiologist who had not sent them off. I had to wait another week for them to be returned. Whilst there, I had asked specifically if I could take out a new warrantee or extend the current one, I was told this was not possible. Now I am getting multiple letters offering me just this. I am not impressed.

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We’re really sorry for the inconvenience and frustration you experienced - both with the delay to your hearing aid service and the confusion around your warranty. This isn’t the level of service we aim to provide, and we completely understand how disappointing the situation must have been.

To clarify, the warranty on your hearing aids is provided by the manufacturer rather than The Hearing Care Partnership directly, which means we aren’t able to extend or renew it. However, as part of your original package, you continue to benefit from our lifetime aftercare - including ongoing advice, and prescription adjustments to your hearing aids whenever you need us. After five years, consumables and wax removal appointments do become chargeable. If you choose to upgrade to new hearing aids, those will come with a new manufacturer’s warranty.

If you have any further questions or if there’s anything more we can do to help, please don’t hesitate to get in touch with the team directly. We’re always here to support you.

My hearing assessment by Aphra took nearly 90 minutes . She was very professional and thorough and took the time to discuss and explain the process. I would have no hesitation in recommending The Hearing Care Partnership.

Excellent service

I booked in for earwax removal. From start to finish there was clear communication on how the process of removal of wax as smooth as possible. Faisal the audiologist was very welcoming and helpful. He explained how to best manage wax build up in future and carried out a free hearing test afterwards, explaining the other services they offer. Would recommend The Hearing Care Partnership and Faisal to anyone who had any issues with their ears.

Having put up with tinnitus for a very…

Having put up with tinnitus for a very long time I decided to pay a visit to Kirsten at Bills opticians in Tiverton.
I was looked after with great care and with informative professional advice.
I received my hearing aids last Friday and I have to say the difference is phenomenal.
I would highly recommend Kirsten.

I had my ears checked out for the first…

I had my ears checked out for the first time just to make sure. The appointment/check up was free of charge and I didn’t need any cleaning/unblocking whatsoever, so no need to return for further work.
Kirsten saw to me and she is professional, experienced and has a lovely friendly approach that puts one at ease.
I will definitely return and recommend a check up for anyone who is in two minds or think they may have an issue.
My mother has to have her ears done twice a year and the benefit is very noticeable after she’s been. Many thanks.
