Terrible customer service
First two orders from this company was a positive experience, untill... there was a problem. There is only one type of lenses I can wear and they cost £120 for three monthly pairs. One of the R lenses was faulty and I contacted the company to have it replaced. It does happen occasionally, and sending a replacement would previously never be a problem.
However, the optical store informed me, that they couldn't replace the single lense and would issue a refund for the affected lense. There was a further communication, where I tried to explain that this wouldn't solve the problem, as I would be left with the L lense for which I couldn't get a pair and would be left out of pocket. The cost of single lense is £20! It was like talking to a complete novice and someone who just doesn't have a clue. In there opinion I was not left out of pocket, yet I'm left with a single and expensive lens!
Where is their logic? I decided to stop waisting my time in trying to explain a simple matter to them and rather contacted my bank who agrees with me entirely. No need to say I won't order from them again, but rather go back to the previous larger company. Yes, lenses were more expensive but, I've never had such an upsetting experience. No wonder people prefer to use larger, more reputable and reliable companies and the small business go bust!

We are genuinely sad to read this, especially as you had previously taken the time to share your positive experiences with us. To now change that to a 1 star review because we did not provide the exact outcome you wanted feels extremely unfair.
For anyone reading, the issue reported related to one individual contact lens from a pack of three. We were unable to supply a single replacement lens, so instead, we refunded the cost of the individual defective lens in full. That means you were refunded for the lens you reported an issue with.
What we are not going to do, and what we do not believe any reasonable business would be expected to do, is refund lenses that were not faulty, were not reported as faulty, and are still perfectly usable. The left eye lens you refer to was not defective and remains usable as a spare lens. We appreciate this may not be ideal, but it does not mean you were left out of pocket for the faulty lens.
We have communicated with you at length, explained this clearly, and tried to support you as best we can. Across your multiple orders with us, we have always delivered to you on time and provided you ongoing customer support on several different topics, so we do not accept the suggestion that we have been careless, unreliable or unhelpful.
We also find the comment about small businesses “going bust” to be particularly personal and unnecessary. It is disappointing to see such a comment made after we resolve the matter fairly by refunding your defective contact lens.
Whilst we would be disappointed to lose you as a customer, you are of course entitled to shop elsewhere. However, we do not believe this review gives a fair or balanced reflection of the support provided, the facts of the issue, or the resolution offered.

Really happy with the product and customer service.
Ordered a pair of Ray Ban sunglasses for my boyfriend’s birthday. Still hadn’t had my Royal Mail confirmation after 5/6 days of purchase due to sunglasses being out of stock. Rang up and spoke to a gentleman who was extremely helpful and got some different sunglasses out the next day which were just as nice and very similar to my initial order. They post them out the next day and arrived on time as promised the day after.

Having been on a subscription plan from a well known opticians for several years the price has just kept creeping up so I decided to call it a day & cancel.Did alot research online to see where I was going to purchase from.The optical store popped up & the prices seemed very good.I did read trustpilot reviews & had no hesitation placing an order.I took the chance & purchased 3 months supply.Ordered Sunday,despatched Monday & arrived today Tuesday. Each time I require new lenses, I do an internet search for my brand and prescription.
The Optical store always come in much cheaper.
I was sceptical at first. So many online scams.
I ordered my first batch. They arrived promptly.
No issues, the genuine article and I have been reordering for myself and my wife over the last 12 months.

Great service and sunglasses
Ordered sunglasses after reading excellent reviews and they didn’t disappoint. The sunglasses were shipped the following day! Really pleased with my Ray Bans and at least £40 cheaper than competition. Would definitely recommend!

It is always difficult buying on line…
It is always difficult buying on line from business's you know nothing about, wondering if your money is going down the drain.
I needed some more Maui Jim glasses because I find them fantastic and their lenses really work for me so I shopped around researching each shop and found very good reviews for The Optical Store UK. I contacted them via email. They responded very quickly so I went ahead with my purchase.
Ringing them initially was a bit off putting as I got an answer machine telling me that customer service wasn't available at this time which seemed odd however I did persevere and subsequently I have had several conversations with them and they have been great!
It's a family run business, they did what they said they would do and located the glasses I wanted, posted them out to me ahead of the schedule having rung me to check I would be at home to receive the signed for next day delivery parcel.
Hesitate not, this is a legit company who do what they say and still have sound values not often met with these days.
