Very very rude

This company is run by con men that rip of the old and vulnerable they should be locked up say they are going to remove spray foam insulation don't do the job but still take the money use bully tactics to rob money out of the old and vulnerable give the customer a bogus certificate to say that the work has been done when it clearly hasn't scammed £5000 when on discovering that the job hadn't been done contact the company for money back was told can't give you it back I have spent it !scum of the earth! this company need shutting down and all locking up

We would advise avoiding this company at all costs. We were charged £6,000 for removal of spray foam which was badly and messily carried out and subsequent attempts to contact the company to ask them to return to do a better job (and provide a proper certificate to this effect) have not been successful. They operate a hard sell technique.

We were told that all the foam had been removed and provided with a certificate confirming this. We are now changing the roof and have found that lots of foam remains. We have been told that the certificate provided did not match the work completed.
The people who completed the initial removal worked hard but simply didn't remove all the foam, especially from the eves.
Because of the amount of foam remaining the skip is judged to be mixes wasr so increasing the cost of disposal.
I have been trying to make contact with Thermotech but have been unsuccessful so far.

These people should not be trusted, they prey on vulnerable elderly and charge inflated prices for work that does not need doing. My elderly father was hard sold fitting of TLX super quilt insulation to his rafters for an inflated price of £4780 with the claim of improving the loft insulation. However, the loft was already insulated at the joists and had been reroofed in the last 10yrs.

When we were first advised that Thermotech would be carrying out the work to remove the spray foam from our loft, like everyone we were concerned, never heard of them before, checked on Trustpilot which only gives a 2.8 and which mixed reviews..... Well on arrival of the 2 man team (Darren and Ben) they explained to us what needed doing and how this was going to be done, they continued to update us when needed, Ben and Darren were with us for 2 days, they were very well organised, clean and tidy, and professional, dust sheets were laid, all the foam was bagged up and removed, and totally hoovered before leaving, they were polite and nothing was to much for these guys. You hear so many bad reports about scam firms, and yes we were concerned before as you never know who or what you are getting,, but Ben and Darren were excellent, so professional, I would honestly recommend these 2 guys, I can't nessasary speak for the firm as a whole, but with these 2, Themotech are on to a winner. THANK YOU SO MUCH for not only doing a good job, but also putting our minds as rest...

Would just like to add, that we never heard of this Co. until they were
booked, we are both mental health workers, working with the NHS.

During our spray foam removal, the team worked extremely well. The chaps were friendly, non-pushy, and took the time to explain how removing the foam would benefit our roof space. Everything was carried out with minimal disruption. Their service left me very impressed!

The surveyor was kind, knowledgeable, and arrived on schedule. He pointed out issues we hadn't even thought about and described how loft insulation would help. Overall, the entire experience was good.

The team was incredibly prompt and considerate of the property while they removed and replaced the old insulation. I appreciated how neatly they left everything behind. The change in the temperature is immediately noticeable.

Avoid this company .Pushy salesmen preying on the elderly.Scammed my 90 year relative and actually got her to sign a vulnerable customer Policy without any 3rd party present representing her interests .Got her to sign a check for work at a hyper inflated cost.

Avoid this company. They work by bombarding you with frightening information and insisting the work needs doing, and getting you to sign things too quickly with no time or space to think about it.
They don’t even allow for the 14 day cancellation period that you are supposed to have. I could go on….

AVOID AT ALL COSTS. My parents had a call from this company and agreed to a free survey of their roof.
The man who came round (Jonathan) was very pushy and used scare tactics to force my parents to agree to a very expensive roof insulation, telling them that their roof was in danger of falling down and that most mortgage companies were refusing mortgages on properties with foam insulation (researching this, the majority of mortgage providers will offer mortgages).
He also said that a team could come and begin the works the following day. Thankfully my parents asked if we could research the company and, in doing so, were alarmed firstly by trust pilot and Facebook reviews and then when reading the fine print of their terms and conditions. We discovered that their terms and conditions stated that once the contractors were on site then customers were eligible to pay the full cost even if they have changed their mind and no works took place. My parents rang to cancel the order but no one answered the phone. They left a voicemail message and an hour later the same salesman called back from his mobile phone. I spoke on my parents behalf and the man was very aggressive, arrogant and patronising. He appeared very angry that we were cancelling and again tried scaremongering to insist the works were done.
This company appears to prey on elderly people and scare them into agreeing to very expensive works that they might not need.
Please follow the advice of the RICS booklet online and get a local Chartered surveyor to come out and advise if any works need carrying out.

My mum received a call from AI robot and next thing is we got is theses cowboys at her door telling her to remove her insulation and replace. Theses guys are fraudsters and no one answers the phone at the company. AVOID AVOID AVOID. companies like this were on the one show last month .

Wouldnt surprise me if the same company directors were installing the foam few years ago.

I used this company to remove incorrectly installed under tile spray foam insulation , and the level of care taken on my property was totally unacceptable.
Arrived with no protective covering for stairs or banister.
Damage caused included - chunks of wood taken out of a banister rail by a dropped crowbar (£250 compensation offered for a repair); cold water tank insulating jacket pushed down into the tank ruining it and causing fibreglass strands in the water supply; a hole in a spare bedroom ceiling not noticed until later.

Avoid, Avoid, Avoid. My elderly friend got cold called into receiving a insulation inspection by a so called “Health and Safety” expert, then used high pressure sales tactics, including informing her that she had a build up of poisonous gases in her house, which scared her understandably. He then went on to tell her that to replace the insulation would normally cost around £19,000!!!, but if she signed up to some scheme she would only pay £5.000. She agreed initially but thankfully after consulting myself and another friend, and us doing some research and investigation managed to cancel it.
This company although Legit, use high pressured sales pitches to prey on the elderly and vulnerable out of thousands of pounds. Please do your research before paying any cold callers and if necessary instruct a company of your choosing, not one that persistently calls.

My mother was cold called to install spray foam in her loft by Quality Home Solutions in 2022. Unfortunately, she chose to have the spray foam installed. Recently, she was cold called by thermotech offering to remove the spray foam. The quote for removal was double the other quotes we have received from companies with, for example, which recommended status. I would recommend avoiding this company as they are approximately double the price of other vendors and used over zealous sales tactics on my mother.

I am a Chartered Building Surveyor. I have seen this company's work. Do not use them. Call the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and get 30 minutes free advice from a local Chartered Building Surveyor. It will save you thousands.

Awful company. Steer clear. High pressure sales tactics with elderly homeowners. The job was poorly completed with substandard insulation used. Upon complaining they did return to fix it, but never provided the £5000 refund agreed. Now won't respond to emails. Do not use this company.

High pressure sales technique used on my 88 year old mother.
I think they wet the insulation before testing to give it a high reading. They had cold called beforehand and she was lucky as the government were about to add VAT to the process. And even luckier was the fact that there was a team who could do it the following day due to cancellations.
I got my mum to cancel- who would spend £4,800 without a second opinion?

My parents were scare mongered into agreeing to have the spray foam insulation removed - immediately. Shown head line news on 'not being able to sell the house' 'wood rotting due to damp'. Dennis insisted his company did not 'cold call' but when I spoke to my Dad to find out how he got in touch with them, he said they phoned him, first time he put the phone down but they phoned back and 'Dennis' was very persuasive. Fortunately my sister and I smelled a rat and halted the process. Dennis even included in the quote ' to remove all my parents personal belongings from the loft and putting them back after removal of the spay foam'. I asked my mum and dad how much was in the loft - they said absolutely nothing! They had got the loft cleared out a couple of years ago and stored it elsewhere in the house as they cannot access the loft themselves anymore. We have since had someone else have a look at the spray foam insulation - they said it was not fitted correctly, but there is no immediate cause for concern as there is no damp and we should just monitor it after each winter. Panic over, disgusting company pressure tactics failed - until the next vulnerable pensioners are contacted and convinced they need to part company with £4000!
