Quality was very good. Lead time was quite long.

Really pleased with the goods and the notification of delivery. I would add the timber was extremely well packaged and was protected from the awful weather experienced at the time of delivery.

We were very happy with this order. We ordered several specific cuts of European Oak Timber, where the order specified it would be delivered in 10-15 working days and this was the case. It came well packaged and was thankfully left in our front porch as we were out & this was safe to do. We were very happy with Oak as it was well cut and was very similar in colour to the picture and matched our Oak Conservatory really well. If we require any more timber cuts from this company again we will be sure to use them.

Ok, bit of a mixed review.... The important bit is the product is excellent, I ordered before Christmas, so expected a delay.. Communication could have been better, got an acknowledgement of the order, then nothing until an email from the courier giving me a couple of days notice. The wood didn't turn up on the day specified by the courier, just as well I hadn't taken a day's leave to wait in, given the recent horrendous weather... It turned up today, the delivery instructions of leaving it under cover down the side of the house were ignored (the joys of a doorbell camera) and it was left out in the wet. I realise a 130 quid order isn't the biggest, but having waited a month and delayed the work on my kitchen only to potentially have it ruined by the courier was a bit disappointing.

The good news is that the packaging has kept it dry, so all good in the end

Terrible product
I order PAR Poplar timber
PAR Should mean planer all round and it should be straight and flat within reason
However when this timber came it was so warped and bent some of it was unusable
And there was also such massive defects that more of it was unusable.
It says on the website to order the exact shorter lengths that you need however I’m glad I didn’t take this advice because if I did I wouldn’t have had enough to complete my job on time.
This product comes at a premium price which is not reflected in the quality.
Would highly discourage anyone from buying from this company.

The meranti timber I ordered was just as described, and of very good quality. I received the order well within the time given for delivery and am very pleased, when I require further materials I will not hesitate to use Timber4u again.

Nice piece of wood, ordered the size I wanted and it arrived.
Delivery was a bit slow, but it's nearly Christmas and the piece had to be cut and machined

As always the wood I received was excellent quality and flawless. It had been well protected by the packaging

Timber cut to exact size as per existing timber thereby reducing labourous cutting and waste when undertaking the project. Well packed and delivered within the time frame given.

The Delivery Driver was difficult to deal with, at first she refused to come up the drive way as she said the tree branches were too low. I encouraged her to try and she got to our gate without any incident. I knew it could be done as we have many deliveries to the house on trucks bigger than she was driving. i then asked her to drive into the yard through the electric gates so the wood could be stored in the garage to keep it dry. She said they only do kerbside deliveries. I asked her to at least put it inside the gate so it wouldnt be blocking the drive. Next she tried to get the pallet off the back of the truck and couldnt do it - I have a video of this if your interested. She then handballed all the packaged wood, non too gently, off the back of the truck and placed them on a pile just inside the gate.
The wood itself is very nice but I had to move it from just inside the gate to the garage myself and I am 65 years old, my husband was out at work but I needed to get it inside as I didnt want to leave it out in the rain.
