Tokopedia mengulur2 waktu untuk investigasi tapi sampai 1bulan saya follow up tiap minggu tidak ada hasil positve dan saya minta refund, tidak dikasih refund.

I loved how easy it was to find what I was looking for, and the variety of sellers means you can often find some great deals. The payment options are convenient too, which makes shopping a breeze. My only small complaint would be that sometimes shipping can take a bit longer than expected, but it’s not a dealbreaker for me :)
A nightmare online shopping experience…
A nightmare online shopping experience with Tokopedia. I came to Indonesia to visit family and ordered several items through Tokopedia website.
Several items were not processed by some sellers, and the sellers did not even bother to reply to my messages. True that after a few days, the orders were automatically cancelled, but it was a total waste of time for customers.
An order was processed by a seller, but the status stayed "Waiting for courier" for about 10 days. The seller again didn't reply to my messages.
Tokopedia customer care is another nightmare. It is difficult to navigate the app to get help from Tokopedia customer care. When I managed to chat with them, they said they would cancel the above order and refund the money. However, they made a mistake of only cancelling 1 unit despite the status clearly showed that the purchase was for 8 units.
Getting the Tokopedia Care to rectify this is a total nightmare. For days they only said they are looking into this. It has now been a week and they haven't refunded my money.
I emailed the Tokopedia care, but only got automatic generic reply and no help.
I am about to leave Indonesia and my money is still nowhere to be refunded.
Tokopedia Care is the worst
It’s almost like the are enabling dishonest sellers. My purchase was a frozen item at 500g. Of course I’ve picked a seller from my local city. The product that arrived was 200g, from Medan (I live in Bali) and at room temperature. I sent in photos and screenshots as evidence but nope, the resolution centre sided with the seller.

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE / HUMAN RESOURCE! especially in PUSAT RESOLUSI. They can give you solution A today and suddenly change solution B the next day even though it is PASSED THE DEADLINE. We asked them to call because it is going nowhere but they give you 1000 reasons to procrastinate until you finally "forced" to do solution B (solution B is definitely not fair and was made without any facts or proof.) Been using this apps for more than 10 years but its getting worse and worse and soon will be bankrupt. PLEASE LEAVE THIS APPS AND USE OTHER MP like shopee or blibli.

Kami bayar deposit 10 juta di akhir Agustus dan sisanya 10 juta di bulan September saat barang dikirim ke Bali. Kami tidak pernah terima barangnya. Mereka bohong kami setiap hari bahwa kursi-kursi itu akan sampai di alamat kami. Pada akhirnya mereka berbohong kepada kami bahwa mereka akan mengembalikan uang kami. I hate the application fee they charge you. They don't refund it. So sellers can just flippantly cancel orders. They lie about their stock to make you buy, just to cancel the order.

Tokopedia tidak adil terhadap Pembeli
Saya sebagai Pembeli, dirugikan 3 kejadian oleh Penjual. Satu terjadi bertahun2 yll, Penjual nakal yang sengaja memberikan deskripsi ukuran salah. Saat barang terkirim, saya komplain karena ternyata sangat2 kecil tidak masuk akal, dan penjual buru2 mengoreksi deskripsi ukuran. Penjual dan Tokopedia menyalahkan saya karena tidak membaca deskripsi barang. Padahal saya punya bukti, deskripsi yang sebelumnya sempat saya screenshot sebelum diganti isinya oleh Penjual. 2 kali kejadian terjadi dalam waktu belum lama. Penjual mengirim warna barang yang salah, padahal jelas saya minta warna lain, dan sebelum check out juga sudah saya pesan, agar Penjual tidak mengirim selain warna yang saya minta. Saya minta kembalikan dana, tapi Tokopedia meminta saya yang mengirim balik, padahal sebagai konsumen yang dirugikan, saya minta kurir Tokopedia yang ambil barang. Waktu yang dikasih utk respon penyelesaian saya sebagai Pembeli hanya singkat sementara waktu respon yang diwajibkan ke Penjual tidak ada, sehingga Penjual dengan sengaja tidak merespon utk menyelesaikan kewajibannya. Kejadian ketiga, Saya menerima cermin pecah padahal barang saya menerima barang langsung dari kurir, artinya kurir tidak melempar barang ke halaman saya. Saya minta refund dan barang saya kirim balik ke Penjual dan kurir memberikan konfirmasi barang terkirim tgl 21 Des 24 jam 18.00 (Sabtu). Tanya (Virtual Assistent Toped)tgl 21 Des 24 jam 23.10 menginstruksikan bahwa Penjual harus mengkonfirmasi "barang telah diterima" maksimal 2x24 jam atau komplain ditutup dan dana otomatis dikembalikan ke Pembeli. 2x24 jam itu apabila hari Minggu tidak dihitung adalah 24 Des 24 jam 23.10. Namun sampai tanggal 25 Des 24 jam 10 dana belum kembali. Saya menghubungi Tokopedia Care, dan diminta saya menunggu konfirmasi Penjual sampai 26 Des 24 jam 23.00, dengan alasan tidak menghitung hari libur. Padahal tgl 23 hari Senin dan 24 Des 24 hari Selasa jam 23.10 adalah 2x24 jam bukan merupakan hari libur. Tokopedia Care tetap minta saya menunggu sampai tanggal 26 Des, padahal sistem Tokopedia sendirilah yang melanggar aturan yang mereka buat sendiri yaitu 2x24 jam, menjadi 3x24 jam.

Tokopedia is a cesspool of dodgy sellers, duplicate listings, fake products and fake listings. As written here, it promotes sellers over buyers to the extreme and adds extra fees that one has to beware of.
There is no policing whatsoever and no consequences for illegal traders or scammers. Anyone can post anything they like and not deliver. There are millions of inactive listings and no way to complain about a cancelled sale. It IS possible to find useful things on TokPed but be prepared to go through a lot of hassle. I’ve bought hundreds of products on the platform so I have a little more clout when it comes to complaints but my, oh, my does Tokopedia need a proper cleanup!!

Tokopedia is full of thieving sellers who show one product in the main picture then a cheaper product in some of the subsequent pictures. Guess which producyt they send to you? The cheaper one. You try and submit a complaint but it says you cannot because the order has been fulfilled.
Also plenty of sellers waste your time by showing stock when they have none.

I think the reviewer saying "the one star reviews are dumb" demonstrates the problem with Indonesian e-commerce, the lack of accountability and systems to sell things correctly and transparently. Seller accountability would be properly regulated if Amazon was allowed in Indonesia. Sellers can instead post fake products, pretend items are in stock when in fact they are in China, and not take down adverts that are well sold out. If the product is listed as in stock, check with the seller and report the listing if sold out. I have to wait many times for refunds.
Very Bad Customer Service
For all seller better aware and be careful selling here.
I have been selling stuff here since 2015 and customer service there can easily delete and banned your store based on random report without giving chance for seller to appeal and consider to re-review if the report is legit. They force you to promise to not do the same mistake to re-open the store (even you did not do it).
