Wish I could give zero stars

Wish I could give zero stars.

Assume you are never getting the cashback before buying, avoid at all costs! Bought a boost mobile sim cashback promo in November 2025. 1 week later it doesn't automatically link, so I send a ticket which takes a full 6 months for them to acknoledge the transaction occurred, then another 3 month wait for the money to be withdrawable.

At the end of it all they didn't even send a notification that the money is available to take out. Don't bother with this service, save yourself the headache.

The worst app

The worst app. The worst cashback company. A friend recommends you. You have $25 pending. I’ve made a few transactions on Temu and they’ve all been rejected. I have a dusk that’s pending and I’d like to upload the receipt but of course they’re pathetic customer service comms doesn’t allow uploads. Just a simple message and submit. I strongly believe that they do this so that you don’t get the $25. I don’t understand the positive reviews. This company feels like a scam to me. I have put so many things through and uploaded tickets and they are pending several weeks on if not months. Customer service are totally useless and unhelpful. If I could give this company a zero or minus I would because that’s what they deserve. You can keep your $25. I’m done using this terrible app. I’ll stick with ShopBack.

Update - I receive a response to be told they do not tolerate aggression or demeaning behaviour because I called the response pathetic. Wow!! No name calling, no swearing, nothing. And this is how their rude and unhelpful customer service responds. How about the threatening response you just sent because I used the word "pathetic. My last chance? I wont be using this horrid company anymore. How dare you respond to me in such a threatening manner! Its okay for you. Hopefully management will see this and review their staff responses!! Obviously this feedback has passed trustpilot code of conduct!

We understand how frustrating it is when cashback doesn't track or when claims take longer than expected to resolve. We also appreciate that this has left you feeling disappointed with our service.

We would like to clarify a couple of points. Firstly, we do not withhold cashback from members. Cashback is only paid once the retailer validates the transaction and pays the commission to TopCashback. Where a retailer declines a transaction or a claim, we are unfortunately unable to pay cashback that we have not received ourselves.

Regarding your comment about uploading receipts, while attachments cannot be added directly through the claim message thread, our team is always happy to review supporting documents sent via email when requested. If your Dusk claim requires an invoice or receipt, we would be pleased to request it from you.

We are also sorry that you felt our previous response was threatening. That was certainly not our intention. Our aim is always to maintain respectful communication with all members while ensuring our team members are treated with the same courtesy. If our response came across differently, we apologise for that impression.

Warning to AU Users: Hidden cross-border fees on gift cards!

Be careful using Topcashback Australia's gift card portal. They process their AUD gift cards through an overseas entity called Runa.

Even though you are on a .com.au site buying an Australian voucher, the transaction routes internationally. I was hit with a $5.91 international fee on a $196.89 Amazon purchase, completely wiping out the $3.25 cashback I earned and leaving me out of pocket.

Their checkout has zero warnings about cross-border processing, and their customer service completely refused to respond when I reached out to point this out. Highly deceptive lack of transparency. Stick to platforms that process locally!

UPDATE (June 2026):

Following this review, TopCashback responded promptly and reimbursed the $5.91 international fee into my account as a gesture of goodwill. They also confirmed they have officially transitioned to a new gift card provider to eliminate these cross-border processing fees entirely for future buyers.

While I appreciate the prompt resolution, it shouldn't require a public review to get a customer support response. Furthermore, pointing to a fine-print disclaimer at the final point of settlement doesn't excuse the lack of transparency. Under Australian consumer expectations, when using a .com.au domain to buy a local voucher in AUD, there is a reasonable expectation of local routing. Burying a cross-border warning at checkout is "hidden pricing friction"—especially when a $5.91 bank fee completely wipes out a $3.25 cashback incentive. That condition is material to the buying decision and should be front and center, not a checkbox at the finish line.

I have upgraded my rating to 3 stars because TopCashback did the right thing by refunding the fee and structurally fixing their platform. Hopefully, the new provider delivers a genuinely fee-free experience going forward.

We understand your frustration at incurring an international transaction fee, particularly when it exceeded the cashback earned on your purchase.

To clarify, at the time of your purchase, there was a disclaimer displayed on the gift card checkout page advising members that their bank or card provider may apply an international transaction fee due to the way the payment was processed. We appreciate, however, that these fees can still come as an unwelcome surprise.

We're also pleased to let you know that this issue is no longer applicable going forward. Since your purchase, we have moved to a new gift card provider, and purchases made through our gift card portal will no longer be subject to these international processing arrangements or the associated bank fees.

In addition, as you are already aware as a gesture of goodwill, we have applied a $5.91 credit to your TopCashback account to reimburse the international transaction fee you incurred.

We apologise for any disappointment caused and appreciate you bringing this to our attention. Feedback such as yours has helped drive improvements to the gift card experience for all members.

Customer Service is Nonexistent

Whilst in a perfect world if order tracks you’ll be easily able to withdraw the funds, however if you’re like me - and have 1 claim (only one I've submitted) their customer service is basically non-existent. I currently have a claim from the 26/09/2025 for a cashback of around $200 and they simply do not care. Sent monthly follow-ups provided all documents and they do nothing to help. There's no contact number, no escalation, nothing. Its now 13/06/2026 with still no update. I would highly recommend reviewing other alternatives for larger cashbacks.

I thought it was just another scam but came highly reviewed on some sites so I tried it out.
Nothing but easy, smooth, and trustworthy purchases so far and it's great to get an additional discount on purchases I needed to make anyway!

I've been using it for a few months now and it's great.

TopCashback covers a large number of companies in the UK and Australia. It's an easy process and generally registers the purchase process, and if it's missed a purchase, the Missed Claims process is also very useful. Get paid to shop, what's not to like??
