Great at billing you! ... not so great at shipping to you.

I ordered a tow hitch from them and they immediately sent a confirmation email and billed me for the full amount. After a week, no shipping information was sent and I reached out to them. They immediately apologized and said "Your order was put on hold by the manufacturer," and that tracking information would be sent soon. Several more days later, and their website still says my order is waiting to be processed. I have sent another email asking what is going on, demanding quick shipping and an ETA or a refund. Will see how it goes, but I'm definitely not impressed. If they are having issues, I understand, but I don't think they should bill a customer until they are ready to ship goods to the customer. This feels like a bait and switch.

Complete trash customer service

Update 2/6/2026: They offered me an option for a 40 dollar refund for the damage to the hitch, which is laughable but it's better than sending it back and them not refunding my money. I stand by that they are a complete scam and only decided to offer anything because they were trying to pay me off to not keep this review active. Maybe if they offered me this option yesterday, or the day before, or the day before that I wouldn't have written it. But it's my duty to make sure prospective customers know this place has absolutely terrible customer service and I would stay FAR AWAY!

BLUF: Stay far away from this place, HORRIBLE customer service and is likely a complete SCAM! I've never had such a horrendous online shopping experience anywhere else in my life. The alleged "owner" couldn't handle an upset customer, was obnoxious and then sent me a return label that wasn't even going back to the same place or state!

I ordered a tow hitch that was listed as quick ship, projected to arrive in 2-3 days. 5 days went by with nothing, so I called and was lucky enough that they actually answered their phone, they told me the warehouse they were using went bankrupt overnight and that they were shipping from a new warehouse that day. That's a huge red flag I should have noticed right there, wish I would have canceled my order then! I never received any notification but UPS let me know I had a package on the way. It finally arrived on 2/3/2026, but the hitch was damaged and a lot of paint was knocked off. The packaging was horrendous, no cardboard, in a thin bubble wrap envelope with a few pieces of cardboard protection but none where it really matters. UPS is rough but the packaging is the real problem.

Now on to their crap customer service, I left 3 voicemails and I did finally receive an email response saying they'd look into a credit for me to keep the item. I finally spoke with someone about the credit and they said it's with their "claims" department. I waited around and then that afternoon my phone started blowing up with tons of calls from New Jersey and Pennsylvania phone numbers. I sent them an email requesting them to stop calling and just send me the solution to this problem. They did not reply so I eventually called them.

This is when I spoke to some dude claiming to be the owner at some random NJ number that comes back as a scam and fraud. The dude couldn't handle I was pissed off at this point and said a curse word, too bad. Maybe if they provided me with actual customer service in the beginning instead of this huge run around. He stated they were a small company, tiny, family owned, how he feeds his family. Funny then, didn't think small companies had "claims" departments to deal with returns. In the end, I asked for a return label and hung up. As I stated above, I received a return label but it's not even going back to the same place or state.

This sounds like a total scam and regardless of that, it's the absolute worst customer service I've ever experienced. I've never been given the run around by any other small company I've dealt with. I seek out small businesses because they need support and tend to give that support back to their customers. This place doesn't do that, lies to you, likely resells damaged products and is a place that should be shut down by the FTC!

Avoid this place at all costs!!!!

item warehouse location from where it ships is a lie

I purchased a Curt Manf tow hitch from their website on a Friday at noon. At the time of purchase the website said it was in stock and will ship from Lancaster, TX (just outside Dallas) and that the item would be delivered to my house the next day or the day after. I live in Austin Texas several hours down the road so this seems reasonable and great. I'm in a bind for time and need this item ASAP. I tried to call multiple times to confirm stock but was unable to speak with anyone and the automated system told me that they would call me back. I placed the order anyway. I never received a call back. Later that day after business hours, 7pm, I finally got an order update stating that the item will ship from Las Vegas Nevada, several days drive away. There's no way this item will show up in 1 or 2 days. Total lie. They lied to me about where they are shipping from and this has caused my business to incur costly delays. Now that it's past business hours on a Friday evening, I can't get this item from somewhere else in a timely manner so I'm really screwed over.

If you need items from this company in a timely manner, do not trust them. Not only will they not answer your calls and not call you back, they will lie to you through their teeth as to when the item will ship and where it's shipping from.

They have lost my trust and are now on my black list.

UPDATE:
I got a call from this vendor a few days after posting this review and they asked me about my experience. I returned the item to them as it wouldn't arrive in time (I actually refused delivery). I was told that their Dallas area warehouse was behind. I understood this and did comment to the agent that their website does not reflect the truth. They agreed to waive the restocking fee if I removed this review. So here I am updating this review. I can't in good conscience remove the review as it reflects the truth, albeit with some emotional dissatisfied tone. I have however, updated my stars from 1 to 3 as a consession.

Absolutely terrible

Absolutely terrible. They shipped me a part that their website and their customer rep said would work and it doesn’t. The connectors are different. I had to go back and forth with their customer service department at least 11 times to get them to agree they shipped the wrong part. I had to pay shipping to get the part and to return it, along with a restocking fee. I should not have to pay for their mistakes This is horrible customer service.

Excellent customer service

I had some trouble checking out online as I was having the item sent to a client's house and not my (billing) address. I called their phone for customer service and the person helping me was fantastic, very knowledgeable on their products. She helped me simply check out with her on the phone and it all worked out great.
