Very pleased with my little fish. Good service and would be happy to buy from this company again. I received frequent emails updating the status of my order and he arrived well and settled in happily with no ill affects from his journey.

Had missing items in my order tried to get help very unsuccessfully customer service is appalling now it seems I'm out off pocket I've spent alot of money with this company never complained once with previous orders that didn't have the amount of fish that I paid for but this order is the dearest one yet disgusting service

Painful Experience - Terrible Communication, Unreliable and Irresponsible
Placed an order in advance for delivery the following week (complying with the site’s requirements).
Received an email four days later to say part of the order wasn’t available and they’ll dispatch everything the following week (particularly annoying as an unexpected trip caused me to pass several good fish shops that morning).
I send three emails and a WhatsApp message requesting they send whatever parts of the order they could on the original date as it wasn’t possible to be at home the following week.
When they finally responded, they had missed the delivery window for the initial date and I could either accept the new date or cancel the order
As we were in the midst of a family emergency, I had to cancel the order and requested a full refund.
A few days later, whilst now away (and still dealing with the emergency) I see emails from a courier company about an attempted delivery and then another from Tropical Fish Co...
They had accidentally sent out the order and were now requesting that, as I’m not around, when the item is delivered, that I ask a neighbour to take the box in, put the fish in a tank or bucket of dechlorinated water with a heater over the weekend. When I return and I can either send them back the following Monday (the earliest courier availability) or I can keep them and they’ll (generously, in their opinion) give me a 25% discount!
Do your neighbours have a spare aquatic heater?
I saw this message the following morning (Fri) by which time the courier company attempted and failed to make the delivery and I could rearrange delivery for Monday. Concerned that the fish would then spend 4days in transit (and obviously not at 24c). I then spend 30 mins trying to contact the courier (without success) and a further hour driving towards their depot to see if I could collect them in person, before the weekend.
Fortunately, TropicalFishCo emailed (whilst only halfway to the depot) confirming the fish were being returned to them they would now issue the requested refund.
I fully appreciate that things can go wrong, but this was totally avoidable and plain irresponsible of them to let this package be sent out. Whilst this simple order turned into an incredibly stressful and frustrating waste of time for me, I’m sure it was worse for the livestock.
The offer of a 25% discount – I should be invoicing them for the inconvenience!
Was nervous about ordering livestock online and doubt I'll be risking it again.

To clarify the outcome, we processed a full refund of your order payment, including delivery, on 2 October and emailed confirmation that day, before this review was published. We have not retained any payment for the order.
We also contacted you directly by email on 22 and 24 September, and on 1 and 2 October. Those replies explained the delay, offered later delivery or a full refund, and subsequently acknowledged the dispatch error.
Your cancellation should have been acted on before the box was sent, and we apologise for that mistake and the delayed replies. The courier returned the box; you were not required to arrange a separate return. The refund was processed before it arrived back.
The payment has been refunded in full, although we recognise that this does not undo the disruption you experienced.

Fist time with Tropical Fish Co.
I bought four round tailed paradise fish from Tropical Fish Co. A species hard to get hold of. Tropical Fish Co not only were able to supply them as detailed on their website, but the price was good and more importantly they arrived happy and healthy. No issues. I was kept informed of their arrival date. Will definitely buy from them again!

i made a simple order with Tropical…Really disappointed with Tropical Fish Co
I ordered 3 different fish from Tropical Fish Co, but only 2 arrived.
They then proceeded to ignore my Email and just refund the missing fish. This wouldn't have been an issue but they didn't refund the delivery charge, and they didn't communicate back to me, they simply ignored me and refunded the money for the fish.
If Tropical fish Co cannot get a simple order correct then i simply cannot trust them to get a much larger order correct.
i then went to Aquatics to Your Door and ordered a 37 fish order and was pleasantly surprised they managed to get the order completely correct and they delivered within 5 days.
DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME WITH TROPICAL FISH CO!
there is always a better company.

Very poor packaging one bag had burst and had very little water in it fish were half dead only lasted two days in the tank. There was no sticker saying live fish just a sticker with fragile on it 🤷♂️

Had a bit of a mess up with delivery probably more to do with courier.. but this issue has been quickly resolved with no problem and hopefully all works out this time.. but great service and great selection of fish... always a nightmare for me to get deliveries as im in northern ireland but they have been amazing!!

Hi Costin, thank you for the feedback - we've tried hard to trace this and can't. All we have is the name "Costin", with no order number, email or postcode, so there's nothing for us to search against. Nothing in our records matches that name. Two things also don't add up for us. Your profile shows Greece, and we only sell and deliver within the UK - we have never shipped internationally, so unless you were ordering to a UK address while abroad, we can't see how a delivery from us would have reached you. And the date of experience given is 13 August: the orders placed with us that day are still here awaiting dispatch, so no fish from that date have been delivered to anyone yet. Was that date perhaps selected at random? We're genuinely happy to help if there is an order behind this. Please email us with your order number, the email address used, or the delivery postcode, and we will look into it straight away and put right anything that has gone wrong. On the photography - our listings use representative images and we state that clearly on the site, and if anyone receives livestock that doesn't match their order we always resolve it.

Your order was cancelled because the fish were not in good enough condition to travel, but we should have communicated that far more quickly and clearly.
