This controlled credit card has been life-changing. My aging parent is able to continue to have independent agency over her purchasing decisions while I no longer have to spend hours trying to undo subscription scams and attempting to return unwanted purchases. Before I set up the card I had a lovely conversation with a real person at TrueLink and I know someone would be there if I needed to reach out. But the app and notifications are all I really need. I am the guardian for my mom and Truelink was a game changing step in our journey. I can sleep peacefully knowing that a scam or accidental purchases will not go unnoticed, and since it’s a prepaid card, there’s not too much money at risk. If anything funky happens I can take action in minutes from the app. Mom has the # saved in her phone and knows how to call to get her balance. I have always gotten a quick and personal response from the Truelink customer service email team. I’m a sandwich generation caretaker-managing small kids and aging parents at the same time. My mom has always needed a little extra support and after dad got sick it was all on me. Finding Truelink was a turning point in helping us through that tough period. We’ve been using it for at least 4 years! TRY IT!

The trustee for my Special Needs Trust got me a True Link Visa. Although I could not use the card for cash, rent or anything deemed maintenance, Section 8 is counting deposits to the card in 2023 as income, which raises the amount of rent I have to pay in 2025. I contacted Lutheran Social Services in Minnesota, who oversees my trust and was told that they have no documentation from TrueLink that a properly administered TrueLink card should not be counted by government programs as income. This means that use of a True Link card is costing me money. I would not recommend that anyone overseeing a trust or who is a beneficiary of a trust, get a True Link card.

We are so happy to learn about this card from CHAT GPT. The ease of setting it up the ease of loading it and connecting it and then the availability to have some control. Many times a debit card/credit card can cause so many problems. And truthfully to know that it is in the USA makes me really happy. The customer service has been excellent.

I am a trustee for a family member and every time I have a question or concern or need to add more information or a second True Link account for me to manage, the CSR is ALWAYS able to accommodate my request. They are patient, professional, respectful and knowledgeable. Their expertise makes my responsibilities just a little less complicated or tedius. I have been working with them for over 18 months, and have had many phone conversations. Every time is 100% satisfactory.

Activating the new card was quick and easy. No other updates such as bank info, new PIN etc. were required. I oversee a trust for a disabled person and this card has been extremely helpful and useful for him.
