True Link Financial Avis 

Use of True Link has been a great experience. I don’t need to worry that my husband who has a mild cognitive disorder will be without needed resources or especially SCAMED. He has few restrictions but those placed on the card have been a life saver!!

TrueLink has been an amazing company to work with. They are very quick with email reply's, the people who answer the phone are always polite and knowledgeable. Using these debt cards for our client's has given them more financial independence, while still giving us the ability to monitor their spending and add/ remove restrictions as needed.

I manage a Trulink card for a vulnerable person. He has used the card for several years. The card helps to protect him from overspending, spending on the wrong things, and protects against scams. The service has worked great keeping his money safe. I highly recommend Trulink.

Our daughter has had the True Link card since March 2025. It does make most spending issues easier to deal with, gives her more autonomy, and reduces stress on parent and child. However, there is a learning curve for both administrator and cardholder. If the cardholder has online accounts they have to be linked to True Link. If the cardholder should not have cash, there are ways to get it through True Link. The card doesn't work everywhere, and pending charges can mess up a day's spending limits when they're finally posted. Funding days and times can be complicated, especially if different time zones are involved. On the plus side, the administrator support is very good. I recommend the True Link debit card highly with the caveat that the administrator still needs to be vigilant.

This has been a game changer for me! I manage the finances for my father with dementia. This allows him to have some form of financial independence while allowing me to restrict where he can use the card, ie online or phone, hopefully preventing further scam activity.

Working with Truelink has been a good experience. They are quick in their responce and quick to address requests and questions.

When I need support, I call in and am able to talk with a representative.

I appreciated the email letting me know about a change in scheduled transfers because of the holiday. I love how quick and easy it is for me to change a setting temporarily for a one-time purchase.

I would highly recommend the True Link Card to anyone who has been given the awesome responsibility of helping a loved one with their finances.
It is easy to set up and to use.
With just a little planning ahead if you transfer funds from a bank to the card before 4pm the funds will appear the next day.
Customer service reps have always been responsive and available, including the financial advisor.
The reports aid the Trustee to easily keep track of income and expenses, even including a downloadable page with a block for checking off receipts.
The card was very effective recently because we were able to block a transaction that would've caused a disaster. What a relief!
I do wish that the card was able to block gift or cash cards.

I have mixed feelings about True Link.

Pros: After some horrible experiences with my overspending by my family member in the past, I like this service and gives me peace of mind.

Cons: Expensive and extremely slow with money transfers. I have an automatic deposit that is supposed to be transferred on the 3rd of the month but True Link holds it until the 11th. This is very frustrating for my family member. It seems like True Link could figure out a solution for this problem. It's ridiculous.

We found TrueLink to be a complete pain to manage for me who funds the card and very frustrating to use by my disabled family member.
At $12 per month for fee, is expensive for the poor service they provide.
I needed to be able to fund at a minute notice. I've been using Zelle which transfer funds (even at night or weekends) but this product seemed to be robust, BUT Truelink sits on the funds for 1 week (making interest on YOUR money) until they "gain trust" on you. If you need the funds immediately, you have to email them and provide your bank statement -I thought well, ok a security feature, but then they keep taking your money hostage for 'several transactions' (they don't tell you how many so it could be 3 or 300 hundred)
"funds will be made available to the Cardholder the next business day (weekends and federal holidays are not included/non-banking days" so if it's Friday evening and you needed to fund the card for the weekend, you have no hope -yet at Friday 9pm I used Zelle and my family member had the money right away -while he was waiting at the gas station frustrated because the card had a low balance ($30) and it declined the gas pruchase at the station. Thanks Zelle for working 24x7 as he was able to return home and saved me from having to go and pick him up. This is marketed as good for senior/disabled...it is NOT.

We found TrueLink to be a complete JOKE for a family with a loved one who is in recovery. They can not block alcohol or marijuana sales. You can only block the places that a person can spend the link. Alcohol is everywhere and without the ability to block that specific sale is worthless!!! DO BETTER TRUE LINK! WE EXPECTED A LOT MORE!

The absolute best! I’ve been using True Link for five years and it is the easiest card to manage for people who need help managing their money.

PERSON USING THE CARD MAY SPEND OVER $200.00 a MONTH for services.

Hi - I've been using a True Link Financial card for at least a couple of years now.
Gratefully, True Link has a few diverse ways to look up my balance. Depending upon my situation, the system allows me to find my balance quickly with little effort. YAY! While being raised with professional people, this shows how very professional this business is.

True link provides an invaluable service that allows me to manage the money of my mother with advanced dementia so that all of her needs are met and no illegitimate spending reduces her minimum resources. I get reports, can restrict spending to specific categories, and get prompt assistance. I love overseas and didn't know what I would do without it,

This type of card has been a lifesaver for me. Mom has dementia. The ability to block internet purchases is an absolute game changer for me as her caregiver and financial caretaker. If the card number is hijacked, no more unauthorized protests with the bank. This program has saved me so much stress when managing Mom's finances. Do it for yourself.

We got the True Link card for our elderly father who was not able to manage his finances anymore. It has been exactly what we needed. He still has the ability to go to any store and purchase what he needs, but we have the confidence that his bank account and savings are secure and safe. And we can create administrative limits on where the card can be used (for example, no more online shopping for things he does not need nor online activity that opens him to risks on corrupt sites). For the first time in years it is the one thing we do not worry about anymore.
