I went to the Northampton store looking for 2 pairs of walking boots. I found one but couldn't find the other.
Christine came along and asked if I was Ok and when I told her what I was looking for she explained that the 2nd pair was online only, but that if I ordered them and they needed to be returned, I could bring them instore. She price matched the boots I bought instore to the online price and applied a further 15% discount. Christine was so friendly and helpful that it was a genuinely pleasant shopping experience (I don't normally enjoy shopping for walking boots!)

Was helped and served by Julie yesterday. Julie was really personable and so helpful, even after having just helped deal with shoplifters in the store. Store was great, with lots of products and they honoured blue light discount at the same rate as online. Highly recommend

I have always liked Rab gear, Ultimate Outdoors were competitively priced, even putting my Rab Capacitor Hoody on hold as most places had sold out of Large, I called in a couple of days later & it didn’t disappoint ! All the staff were super helpful with a big thanks to Lewis also ! Rich

Ultimate Outdoors is my preferred outlet for all my outdoor gear. Great products at various price points, competitively priced and the staff are knowledgeable and friendly. A special shoutout to Leah P. who was incredibly helpful.

I ordered a tent from Ultimate Outdoors primarily because of their competitive pricing and the NHS discount, which made the purchase even more attractive. However, my experience with their delivery service was disappointing. I paid £5.95 for DPD 'pin' delivery, advertised as a next-day service, but the tent was instead sent via a Evri and took four days to arrive. This delay was frustrating, especially given the promise of next-day delivery. It states in my invoice and email that I paid for DPD next-day delivery, but this was not used.
When I contacted customer service by email to address the issue, my email went unanswered. I then called, but the response was unhelpful and dismissive. The agent argued with me when I pointed out that it is misleading to advertise a specific courier service and then use a different, inferior courier. I believe this is false advertising, as Evri, the courier ultimately used, is cheaper and less reliable.
Initially, I was told that I had received the item and therefore had nothing to complain of, and it took multiple repeated efforts on my part to get a refund for the postage cost. When I requested my feedback be formally recorded, I was told that "we record all of our calls," which missed the point—I wanted my concerns acknowledged and maybe acted on, not just archived.
Overall, my experience was of poor communication, delays, and misleading advertising. While the price and NHS discount initially drew me to Ultimate Outdoors, their customer service and delivery practices have left me dissatisfied and I will not be using the company again. I would advise caution and suggest exploring other options for outdoor gear, especially if reliable or on-time next-day delivery and responsive customer service are important to you.

Very helpful and down to earth staff on the shop floor, helped me find what i was looking for, very knowledgeable of products. Had a fitting room where i could try the item on. Price was fair and level with or better than sports direct for the Wetsuit i purchased. Also carry some really good brands such as craghoppers. Was served by Libby, who was very helpful and friendly also

Initially visited to get my daughters rucksack for her DofE expedition. Lewis helped select the right rucksack for her size and shape, he was very respectful of her personal space when making adjustments and adding weights. He was so helpful and polite that we went on to purchase nearly all the kit needed and will be back nearer the time to purchase the rest.

I was completely overwhelmed by the amount of choice and was close to walking out empty-handed. Thankfully, Lewis stepped in at just the right time to offer help. Staff was friendly, patient, and really knew his stuff. Great service thank you.

Ordered an item and paid extra for next day delivery so I had it on time for a holiday 5 days after I'd ordered it. A week later and the bag still hadn't arrived. They use Evri for delivery so there is no way they should be advertising next day delivery as they can't guarantee this using Evri. Ultimate Outdoors have refunded the next day delivery charge but that really isn't the point - we needed the bag.

Ordered an item and paid extra for next day delivery so I had it on time for holiday. The product was damaged by the courier and sent back to the supplier however they will not send a replacement out to me on a next day delivery so I have in time for holiday. I have been told i need to wait until they get the parcel then arrange a refund or order it again at my own expense! Customer Service is shocking
