I USED THIS COMPANY FOR THE FIRST TIME 2 WEEKS AGO FROM NYC TO WASHINGTON DC. THEY MADE ME PAY FULL FARE FOR A ONE YEAR OLD CHARGE WHICH WAS $80 FOR A ROUND TRIP ON TOP OF THE $80 THAT I HAD ALREADY PAID FOR ME. MY CHILD WAS SITTING ON MY LAP THE WHOLE TIME AND NEVER USED THE OTHER SEAT THAT I PAID FOR!!!!!
THIS IS A SCAM. CHILDREN ALWAYS HAVE REDUCED FARES NOT ADULT FARES.

I WILL NEVER USE THIS SERVICE AGAIN!

Been using vamoose for years, the drivers are great and they are a really organized company; however, I think that the prices are getting a bit too steep.

I like the ease of boarding buses: a single line, able to board by name alone, and friendly staff who are really helpful.

Booking is easy and customer service is friendly.

I'm a big fan of the American University discount.

I love using Gold Bus service as well when I can.

I've rarely been delayed on Vamoose (twice in probably 60 to 80 rides to date) and when I have been, I've been reimbursed or compensated.

Living in New York City, I commute to the DC/Northern Virginia area several times each month. I've used Megabus, Greyhound and Bolt Bus in the past, but have looked no further after switching to Vamoose. Unlike the other companies, I've never had an issue with the bus leaving on time. There's also always a bus available for my trip (Greyhound ran out of vehicles one time I had scheduled a trip! Unbelievable!). They don't make you print your ticket, it's all electronic done on an iPad (if you don't print your ticket for Greyhound, you're not getting on the bus. Even if you do have an email confirmation...I believe the same goes for Bolt Bus). The bus attendants and drivers are always so nice and accommodating. I also find that the buses are typically more comfortable than the other companies (Megabus is very uncomfortable, especially after a long trip). The outlets are always operational (I've had an issue with this on Megabus several times). And the pick-up and drop off locations are great. Centrally located, near Penn station in New York, and offers drop offs at a spot in Maryland and two locations in Virginia. I prefer this over getting dropped off in the heart of Washington D.C. - where the other companies drop. Another big sell for Vamoose is their website. It's super user friendly and is a great tool for those who commute often. If you make an account, every time you purchase a ticket you accumulate points. After 120 points, you get a free trip. Also, should you need to change your ticket to another day or time, it can all be done on your online account. There's no fee to change your scheduled trip (you only pay the price difference if a ticket costs more, or they'll refund you if you switch to a cheaper ticket). This is not the case for the other companies and I've found their websites to be confusing, especially in comparison to Vamoose.
As a side note, I've also left something on a Vamoose bus. I immediately called the headquarters after I realized this and asked if they had the item I left. They confirmed they did and I came by and picked it up - it was wonderful to know they'd taken care to check the bus after everyone got off and put my item in their lost and found.

I cannot rave more about Vamoose. I've been using them for about a year now and will never use any other company!

Have been riding this bus for five years and it is very efficient and dependable. Fair priced, and always on time. My only complaint is that they do not have a great lost and found service- have lost two items on the bus.

I have taken Vamoose Bus to and from NYC from Bethesda eight or ten times. Apart from the occasional disruptive passenger, the trips have been enjoyable. Buses are almost always on time, delayed only when traffic is exceptionally heavy.

When it appeared recently that I was going to miss a 5:30 bus from Penn Station, I sent an email explaining that I was running late and asking if I could get n the 7:00 pm bus if I didn't make it. I received a fast and positive reponse within a few minutes. (I actually arrived on time for the 5:30 bus and my seat was still resrved.)

For those who use cell phones, tablets, and computers -- virtually all passengers as I have observed -- every seat has a plug in conection to keep the devices charged. Also, WiFi is offered. That is the only disappointment, as the bandwidth is so narrow that connections are difficult (not impossible) to make.

I like to use Vamoose Bus for my trips from Bethesda to NYC. It’s clean, almost always on time, very easy to exchange a ticket if you need or you are late.
Only some time I and other passengers are having temperature problems on the board. For some reason, specially in summer, it’s just frizzing inside and the drivers put the air-conditioning on so high level of flowing that you have to put hat on your head and scarf, otherwise you’ll be sick at the end of trip.
Also I don’t like when the bus stops on the middle of the way (because it never takes less then 30 min), specially when a driver knows that it will be traffic at the end of the trip or we were in traffic in the beginning.
To improve - Wi-Fi, it’s so weak, you can barely enter in your e-mail.

In Bethesda, a suitcase can hold my place in line, NY Times and water offered too.

My recent trip on Vamoose Bus from Bethesda to Penn Station was very pleasant. We left on time and arrived when promised. I recommend this company without hesitation.

I was ecstatic that you guys offered $20 tickets, but I see that a majority of your regular tickets have gone up to $40, making it $80 round trip. I have sought other companies due to the price increase and I would love to see the prices come back down to around $30.

Other than the price, I love the bus and recommend it as long as the person doesn't care about price.

Just traveled from Bethesda today. It was a comfortable, quiet lovely ride to New York & on time !

Took the Gold Vamoose bus with my family to NYC and return the weekend of May 8th. The ride was smooth and comfortable; the driver and Vamoose support staff were courteous, efficient and friendly. The bus was clean and very comfortable. The bottled water and newspaper provided each passenger were a very nice touch and appreciated. The convenience of the pickup location in Bethesda and drop-off point in NYC at 7th Avenue and 30th street are a major plus.

It was a good experience. I wish the bus would have a more reliable internet, but other than that a good experience.

I have taken Vamoose with my husband and with friends. It is always extremely reasonably priced and I can cancel or change my trip very easily on line. I also get points for free trips!

The drivers seem very consciencous and try different routes when necessary [like during highway traffic jams]. While it's a long ride, I love being dropped off in midtown manhattan, within walking distance of the hotels I use and most other activities. Nice that they have a bathroom on the bus as generally they don't make pit stops.
