Vancouver Bullion & Currency Exchange Avis 105

I am trying to benefit from the USD to CAD exchange rate that is great today because of the whole mess with the corona virus, my savings are in USD and I wanted to change them to CAD.

I signed up for two accounts, one is with Agility Forex (not an ad) and another with VMCE.

Agility Forex website was simple, required 3 identity documents, I submitted them, they followed with me on email and I got my account set up and approved within less than 3 hours.

VMCE thinks it is an FBI agency, first of all the website does not work, every time you attach something it declines it, I went and sent it to them on their support email, they asked for the documents and I provided to them, then they replied in email with "we need to have a call to verify the personal information and get your account set up", I waited 4 hours, received the call, and then comes the "how many transactions are you making a year" i was like "maybe 2 to 3 times a year", she said we cant give you an account access because " we are a financial agency, and we cant let anyone do transactions" In my head i was like "why the f*** are you open for business then" then continues "it is expensive to set up an account and i will refer you to one of our agencies" which i declined.

I went back to the Agility Forex website and completed my transaction in one minute, so glad i did not waste my time with the VBCE stone age process.

However, my biggest praise goes to David F. of the Downtown Vancouver branch, who has gone out of his way to make sure I’m getting both the best rate and outstanding service. He has provided with valuable information and guidance on wire-transferring funds from Europe at no fee (unlike my banks) and made the process seamless. I would not use any other provider for foreign exchange transactions. Thank you!

Always a long queue, even to inquire have to queue up.

i have trouble after a transaction over the internet to be able to find and print
out a receipt of the transaction. it must be said though, that computers and i don't get along well.

The service is really good. Customer Service is excellent when using the internet. I like the facility to exchange funds without having to go to the bullion or the bank. It's so convenient. The only thing funds are not deposit right away it takes a couple of days to process. Even though you are set in an amount already and they take the funds from you account. The funds that you buy are not deposit immediately. Why is that?

If you go in person, the lines up are long and notice that the tellers try their best to accommodate and speed up the process. Maybe the bullion needs more tellers?
