Lancaster vein centre
I had an excellent experience at the Lancaster vein centre. At the consultation appointment the ultrasound scans were done efficiently and Dr B explained the options in detail with very good written back-up information in a booklet. The treatment was done with minimal discomfort and chatting to the friendly staff took away any nerves I might have had. At the follow-up consultation, Dr B confirmed that the treatment had worked as expected and I have now been discharged. I can thoroughly recommend this centre.

I haven’t followed up the consultation…
I haven’t followed up the consultation with a booking for 3 reasons:
- I would have expected to receive a brief written summary of the main findings from the consultation but haven’t yet done so. (Since posting this review I have now received a report - 27.08.26)
- The verbal feedback I received didn’t indicate that I was in a position that required urgent treatment
- I was assessed by a team member who appeared to carry out a thoroughly professional assessment. However, whilst he assessed me, the conversations of the other two members of staff fell below my expectations. Whilst the team member worked they held a separate (and in my view inappropriate) conversation throughout covering:
* ex colleagues and their lifestyles eg their car ownership, purchasing of watches, property abroad etc
* their own previous experiences of working in NHS trusts including references to the Lucy Letby case, supervision of incubators etc
* their own lifestyles and work-life balance
Sadly for these reasons I will not be pursuing treatment with the Vein Centre.

We’d like to reassure you that the Consultant who assessed you was not a trainee. Our Consultants are all experienced Vascular Consultants who have many years of medical training. We insist they all undergo our specialist VeinCentre training to ensure they follow our exacting clinical approach and standards. We’re sorry to hear about the conversations you overheard during your appointment, as this is not the professional environment we provide for our patients.

All staff were extremely courteous and…
All staff were extremely courteous and polite, making me tea and biscuits while I waited. The doctor was very knowledgeable and confident, explaining all parts of the consultation and treatment plan, leaving me happy to book the procedure.

My thoughts on the experience of the Vein Centre service
The whole journey through the treatment was excellent.
The support staff were friendly & helpful. The medical staff considered me as an individual & specified treatment & drugs specifically for me.
The treatment was uncomfortable in parts but certainly not too painful. The personnel doing the treatment were charming, friendly, kind, chatty, entertaining & very good at their job.
I had not realised how uncomfortable my legs were & how aware I was of their appearance until it was over now when the treatment was finished. I have already told a number of acquaintances of my excellent views of the people & their ability & the results of the experience.

Excellent service
I have just finished my treatment at Lancaster. The lovely Helen and her team made me totally at ease and welcome, they explained the treatment and chatted to me throughout the procedure. I felt wonderfully relaxed which made what little discomfort I felt easy to cope with.
The friendly receptionist welcomed both me and my husband with coffee.
I would definitely recommend the Vein Centre in Lacaster to anyone, and I would definitely go back if I needed more treatment. Thankyou

Varicose vein procedure
From start to finish it's been a great service and I can absolutely recommend the vein centre. Staff are polite, friendly and helpful and before you know it the procedure is over and done with. It's a great set up. Booking an appointment was quick and convenient as was the after care. I'd like to thank everyone for such a positive experience.

I arrived for my consultation feeling…
I arrived for my consultation feeling very nervous, but as soon as I met Sam and Julie they made me feel at ease, they explained everything in great detail. On the day of the procedure they made me feel relaxed and comfortable explaining everything throughout the process in a way which I understood. The whole experience has changed my life, I have more energy, more confidence and best of all no lumpy or bumpy veins on my legs . I am more than happy with the service and even more happy with the results , I would definitely recommend to anyone that is thinking of doing it.

VeinCentre treament for varicose veins - very good, so far.
The doctor (Mr/Dr Byatt) and the nurse, were friendly, communicative and efficient. This made the first - heavy, main - session easier.
What also counted for me is that I've had two follow ups included in the cost (the second, today) where substantial additional/remedial work was carried out. This has reassured me as to the eventual outcome. (Results are already good.)

Superb experience from the moment I entered the building. Excellent are from reception to nursing…
Excellent care from reception to nursing staff and then from Dr Ed. Full attention to using sterile procedurewith absolute minimum of pain experienced. Only slight disappointment is having to wear the surgical stockings for a week following treatment, especially as we are now in an official heatwave, but really no problem.

Had thread vein treatment on both legsh legs…
Had thread vein treatment on both legs was told first session would get rid of most of the patches. Very disappointed with results no improvement at all for the money spent. Rang up to tell them how the treatment hasnt done anything only to be told they are hard to treat and may take lots of treatments why not say that in first place costing £450 for 15mins treatment

Everyone from reception through to the…
Everyone from reception through to the consultant were very professional and friendly. I would recommend the vein centre. My only issue was finding the place I got lost and then couldn’t find the centre on the business park. Got there eventually but was late for my appointment.
