Wahed has been an excellent platform for me. It’s simple, transparent, and fully Shariah-compliant, which gives me real peace of mind. Warning: You Might Never See Your Money Again
I made withdrawal requests from my Wahed account, the app shows them as “completed”, but the funds never arrived in my bank account. Multiple attempts to contact them by phone and email have gone unanswered.
This is unacceptable for any financial service provider, let alone one promoting itself as a halal investment platform. My experience shows that you risk losing your money in the name of “halal investment”. Stay away and place your funds with a provider you can trust.

Pleased with my returns

Reliable and Sharia-Compliant
I've been using Wahed for both my SIPP and a robo-investing for about a year, and overall, it's been a great experience. Setting everything up was straightforward, and the platform itself is clean and user-friendly.
What I really value is the fact that it's Sharia-compliant this gives me confibence and peace of mind that my investments are Halal, without me needing to worry about the details to be honest.
The SIPP especially was easy to transfer in and what I primarily wanted, and the ongoing management feels seamless. I also like that things are kept simple: no unnecessary complexity, just a clear, halal way to invest for the long term.
Would definitely recommend Wahed to anyone looking for a halal investment platform that actually delivers on ease and integrity.

Horrendous customer service they think automated emails and a receptionist who just repeats "i understand" to everything you are asking for is sufficient. I want my monies back and am not having any luck.

What a scam
What a scam. They don’t respond to customer service. Their number is a myth and the email you get the reply that says we’re working on it then radio silence for months. Absolutely the worst. I desperately needed to withdraw some money from my individual account and it failed and have been trying to get a hold of anyone to help me but to no avail. Absolute garbage. What will happen to the rest of my money?

I do not recommend Wahed - worst experience.
Investing with Wahed Invest has been the absolute worst experience of my life. Please avoid this platform at all costs. It is fine when you are simply depositing your money, but if there is even a little issue that you require support for, forget it. I have been essentially pleading with customer support to change my address registered with Wahed since February and still they are not making the updates but continuing to send letters containing my personal data to my previous address and not responding to my emails asking for them to update it. Save yourself and find another platform.

The worst experience in investment ever…
REPLY TO THEIR RESPONSE : I still didn’t receive my withdrawal after 26 DAYS, a proof of that they are laying about EVERYTHING!!
The worst experience in investment ever, everything takes ages to be done, no response for 4 days now, withdrawal requested 4 days ago and still investments not event paused nor replied to any of the requests!
Extremely disappointed, don’t ever trust them whatever marketing they do.

Our withdrawal process indeed takes a few days to complete (7-10 business days, depending on the Wahed platform you’re registered under).
This is mainly due to a period for clearing and settlement of trades. But once settled, your funds will be disbursed to your bank and typically reflect within 1-2 business days (depending on your bank). We aim to be transparent about our withdrawal process, and this timeline is reflected in our app when a user initiates a withdrawal.
Rest assured that your request will be processed accordingly, provided all the required banking details have been submitted in the app.
Nevertheless, if it goes beyond the timeframe, kindly reach out to our support team, and they’ll make sure that you get your funds. We appreciate your patience as we work on sending you your money to your bank.
Bad Business Practices, Scrutinized by SEC in 2024
March 2025 - I have been corresponding via email with Mari, who never answers my direct questions about the account - What is the status, when can expect payment, etc.
On 3/5/25, I replied to her email again, as well left a voicemail. No response to either as of 3/13/25. No payment received in 6 weeks.
On 3/7/25, I received a response from the Better Business Bureau that they cannot help because the New York address is being used, but the business is really operating outside if the US. They recommended contacting the federal government's international consumer division for further investigation.
The letter said the following:
"In this case, based on our research, the business about which you filed your complaint is based overseas. Although they claim to have an address in New York, we were not able to confirm a New York Department of State business registration. As such, BBB is unable to create a profile for this business or handle a complaint.
Under the circumstances, you may want to file a complaint...Econsumer.gov is an initiative of the International Consumer Protection and Enforcement Network (ICPEN). ICPEN is a network of governmental organizations in the enforcement of fair trade practice laws and other consumer protection activities."
I have also filed a complaint with FINRA.
FYI in Nov 2024 - Investigations concluded by SEC finding issues with business practices.
Jan 2025 - I requested closure of account, which is an online process of document submission. Wahed has failed to release funds after 30 days since submitting required documents. They appear to stall processing by alleging attachments are not included or documents are not signed, when in fact it is not the case.
Wahed fails to communicate any updates in real time.
Appears both the SEC and FTC need to take a closer look. Customers should file complaints with both when having bad experiences with Wahed and others engaged in similar practices.
