Everything was taken care of for us!…
Everything was pre-selected and pre-booked for us. Every transfer, every tour, every hotel, etc. If we had any questions, they were very responsive and everything was always under control and taken care of. They worked with reliable, professional partners, tour companies, car services, and hotels.

Wanderful went cheap at our expense
Wanderful went cheap at our expense. A disappointing tour for many reasons. Our first hotel in Johannesburg (Holiday Inn Sunnyside) was in a very unsafe area where the hotel itself advised checking with reception before opening the room door! Thus no local eating options and very average food in the hotel. The advertised accommodation for the safari was Mabula Game Lodge - the actual accommodation was Eclectic Safari Lodge. Whilst a beautiful location with an excellent safari guide it had the feel of a homestay. The owners live in 1 of the 4 lodges (fan but no aircon) and share the common areas. Their excessive desire to please was intense and intrusive and detracted from what could have been a very relaxing experience. Dining options - food and timing - were essentially the host's choice, though the meals were good quality. However the anticipated Mabula Game Lodge offered aircon rooms and far more facilities.
Comfortable transfers to & from the Game reserve.
The Garden Route could have been a much better experience had the tour been designed by a local guide. Arrival in Knynsa is too late to explore the town or area. The next day was 5 hours drive for a 2 hour experience and a late return again preventing exploring the Knysna area. These experiences could have been seen en route from Knysna to Franschhoek thus allowing us to experience more of the Garden Route.
The hotel L'Ermitage was a jewel amongst generally disappointing hotels that are clearly at the very bottom end of their star ratings. The wine tram experience in Franschhoek was excellent and highly recommended. Had it not been for our local guide Paul from Experience South Africa who flexed the itinerary and made it a much better experience the Garden Route tour would have been very poor as designed.
The Cape Town hotel (Colosseum) is located next to a huge shopping centre and 9km from the city centre. Another hotel that appears to be the cheapest possible 4 star option. The hotel does not have a pool or a gym. Exploring the city or waterfront requires Uber transport as very few tours pick up from this location.
Mama Africa restaurant is a great experience but the drumming does not happen every night and ask for the tasting menu. It is also half the cost if booked directly with restaurant.
Communication from Wanderful Holidays is the worst we have experienced, even using WhatsApp. The itinerary was not shared with us until midway though the trip, and then we were blamed for not having received it! Daily requests for information and then having such poor customer service was a stressful and anxiety provoking experience that materially detracted from this tour.
All in all a tour around South Africa such as this is a recommended experience - but not with Wanderful Holidays. What they advertise and what they deliver are significantly different. Very poor value for the money. Wanderful do not know South Africa and have relied on second hand information that is inadequate.
In reply to Wanderful's response - this is a carefully curated extract of our communications taken out of context. The tone, though is typical of their approach to customer service - it is the customer's issue.
Buyer beware.

We also addressed your concern regarding the breakfast inclusion at your last hotel immediately — our colleague Ronnie shared the documentation and personally called the hotel to resolve it.
It seems the real disconnect may have arisen because the detailed tour documentation, which was shared through our chat invite, did not appear in your chat window, after the invite was accepted a day later.
Giving us an impression that you had it all the time, only to realize 5-6 days into the trip that you couldn't see the copy while all the other team members could see it as shared.
Accommodation, we’d like to clarify that every hotel on your tour was selected with careful consideration for both comfort and safety:
Johannesburg: The choice of an international chain hotel was intentional to ensure security and guest comfort. The property offers spacious rooms with bathtubs, an outdoor swimming pool (essential during the warmer months), and a large campus so guests can relax freely without feeling restricted. All tours and transfers included door-to-door pick-up and drop-off services with English-speaking local guides, ensuring you were always accompanied.
Eclectic Safari Lodge - Comments mentioned in the review above and the ones sent on the Instant chat group do not align at all (Chat transcript as above).
Knysna: We had already noted recent feedback about the previous property. it recently lost its Travellers’ Choice badge — Have contracted with new hotels here.
Cape Town: As per AI and TripAdvisor it said "Your hotel remains one of the city’s highest-rated urban properties, boasting over 813 verified reviews and a 90%+ recommendation rate, proudly holding its Travellers’ Choice recognition.
“Cape Town’s finest urban hotel, occupying a prime position just ten minutes from the city center and the world-famous V&A Waterfront, and only 15 km from the airport. Accommodation comprises spacious suites designed for comfort and relaxation.” All the tours include a pick up and drop off from the hotel itself. Any tours booked included pick ups from the hotel and drop off at the hotel , however to be clear we never received any requests for additional tours or any requests transfers which would have been organised by our team.

10 day Portugal tour
Our trip to Portugal was well planned and executed. A number of the tour guides ( separate companies) were extremely knowledgable. The prior day confirmations and updates were helpful.
Wanderful staff were very helpful on the one issue that came up.

Our trip was amazing
Our trip was amazing. Wanderful Holidays did everything as promised. They were very communicative and all of their representatives were professional and knowledgeable. Responses to queries were always quick to arrive from Rose Amanda. Reminders and trip details were always sent in good time. Nothing was too much of an issue for her and everything was arranged quickly and seamlessly. The team's help made my life and the trip so much easier. Excellent tour of Seville, guide Maria…
My wife and I visited the town of Seville Spain. We had a wonderful tour of the Alcázar and Cathedral in the city along with a Horse carriage ride. The day was wonderful, due to the wonderful guide Maria. Excellent visit to the sites. Maria’s knowledge and professional, pleasant demeanor was notable. Great trip in Seville, one of four towns in Spain, this trip.

EGYPT AND GREECE TOUR
We just returned from a fabulous vacation in Egypt and Greece. I must said that my husband relied on me for planning the trip and he was absolutely amazed how Wanderful Holidays was so well organized. The WhatsApp “concierge” daily follow up for the successif day was so comforting, we never felt lonely and/or forgotten on the other side of the world. All the pick-up, drop-off, appointments, boarding passes etc… were done perfectly on time. The cruise on the Nile was a captivating must, our guide was on board and taking care of us on everyday new discoveries. He was knowledgeable, friendly and courteous. I highly recommend Wanderful Holidays to my family and friends and will surely use them again for my next trip!

We just returned from an incredible 10 day vacation to Italy, with stops in Rome, Florence and Venice. Wanderful Holidays took care of all the reservations, excursions and travel arrangements. Their communication with clients is superb. Before we left the states they provided us with our entire itinerary. Then, beginning the day before arrival in Rome, every day they communicated the details of what was planned for the following day. There were a few times that I contacted them with questions and within 5 minutes I had an answer. Our tour of Italy was great
Our tour of Italy was great, we loved it!!! Everything was organized and we got reminders and updates via WhatsApp which was also beneficial. The tours and guides were great, we also had some free time to do our own exploration as well. We had a slight issue with the transport to the airport but it was sorted out immediately and the travel agents responded quickly. I highly recommend it!!

Our trip to Greece was a great experience with Wanderful Holidays. All of the accommodations were very nice and approachable. The side trips such as tours of Athens, Mykonos, and Santorini were educational and fun. Most importantly, Wanderful’s use of WhatsApp as a virtual concierge was excellent in providing timely information, answering questions, and piece of mind. A Trip to Remember
My husband and I traveled to South America in July 2025 for 18 days. It was our first time to travel using a travel agency. And we are extremely happy that we went through Wanderful Holidays. In fact our trip became an experience of a lifetime and a trip we would forever remember. From the moment we landed in SA to the time we left SA, we felt safe and cared for. Thanks to Wanderful (Ronnie and staff) for making such excellent arrangements (air, land) within the 3 countries in SA. Kudos to our tour guides who were very hospitable and knowledgeable. We are particularly grateful to Jim in Iguazu. We are back home and we are already planning our next trip. And no doubt, we will do it again with Wanderful Holidays. ☺️
