The plants I ordered were an annual combo group for a pot. They were way overpriced for what arrived. I got scraggly plants, with dead leaves. I would have done much better just taking the combo suggestion to my local nursery and buying the plants. I don't know what I was thinking, I guess I got caught up in the photos in my email!

Poor quality plants
Poor quality plants, missing plants from combos and dead plants. Customer service wasn't the best. Never did hear back from multiple e-mails.
I know it was a weird spring weather wise but with the prices that were charged, I really expected nicer plants.

Dead and mushy plants.
The order when received was mostly dead and mushy. I immediately took pictures and called the number provided. My money was refunded, however, I was not refunded the nearly $10 shipping cost. I would not order from Wayside again. Very disappointed.

Don't know how to ship plants.
Placed an order early in May. Wayside chose to ship the order the Friday before Memorial Day. They shipped UPS/US mail. The shipment was scheduled to arrive the following Thursday. I was able to pay UPS additional money to be delivered by UPS on Wednesday. After spending a 3 day weekend in a hot warehouse and a couple of days in a hot truck all 3 plants arrived dead. I called and was told I would get credit and 2 weeks later I am still waiting. I have ordered many plants on line and never received them just packed in peanut Styrofoam. All good plant suppliers have special boxes to ship plants.
Garden Crossings only ships on Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday. They are in Michigan and Monday shipments are to the most distant points with Wednesday shipments to the closest cities. I have never had a problem with them.

Discerning tastes!
Wayside Gardens always has quality stock with good, strong root systems. After planting, in one week you are amazed how the plants have grown (with a little help of liquid fertilizer at planting time).
This year, I purchased several "combos" (during "free shipping"events), designed for container gardening. They were shipped a month ago, and they are now three (3) times larger and blooming profusely! I have a customized look, making my property unique, versus what the big name store offers.
Choose/trust Wayside for providing selections you can't find elsewhere, as well as good customer service!

I really enjoy looking at the plants Wayside has to offer.
I really enjoy looking at the Wayside catalog to find some plants I can't get in my local garden centers. Most of the plants I receive do well and if a plant is too broken to be nursed back to health, a simple phone call to customer service offers me a refund or a new plant. Its the customer service that keeps me coming back as a consumer.

Substituted plant could have been chosen better
I ordered two combo planter trios based on the pictured color scheme. The growers substituted a totally different plant changing a spectacular color scheme into an ordinary run of the mill theme. When I called customer service, I was told that this happens all the time and that there was nothing that could be done about it. They don’t have plants to send out. No apologies. Not a very good customer service experience. This was my first experience buying from Wayside. I am not sure if I will be a repeat customer.

Great prices, but....
ordered 2 different plant collections for pots. One arrived when expected and was exactly as described. Plants doing very well! second collection had wrong plants and not potted as stated in description. They reordered the collection for me, waited 10 days and due to a late truck somewhere along the way, they sat in a warehouse somewhere and cooked over the weekend. Plants still not right and was able to get prompt refund. 6 other individual plants took forever to arrive and quality was marginal on some. Don't understand why ship dates for my area were so late. But the prices were really good compared to other companies!
