Awful company
Awful company. They appear cheap compared to more efficient companies . Once signed up became apparent that 6 credits is not 6 different people searches but 6 pieces of information about a single person. Search proved unsuccessful - they couldn’t trace address. I then went to a slightly more expensive company who give full refund if unsuccessful. They were able to provide address plus much more including ccjs within 24 hours.
Farcical response from 192. Bottom line is their service is useless irrespective of how many credits required. What they can’t answer is why another tracer costing less finds address and CCC details in 24 hours when 192 found nothing. Do not be duped.

The credits allow you to search for the records provided from the Open Electoral Roll, Business records, County Court Judgments (CCJ), Insolvency data, and Mortality data.
The credit is used when you enter a name and location and press search. An additional credit will then be used if you click on anything else within that search ie CCJ, Insolvency Check, Mortality Check, Director link or other occupant, as these are classed as new searches and another credit is used.
If you click to view the Property Ownership Verification to check if a person is/has been the owner of the property that was searched, then we do advise that 2 credits will be used to view this data.
We do explain all of this under the Help pages prior to and after purchasing credits.
If a current record isn’t shown, it would mean that the person(s) concerned had opted off the open electoral roll on our website. Our Help pages explain this in more detail before and after registering to use our services.
There is a credit warning function that (unless switched off by the user) alerts customers every time they are going to use credits.

Spent £38 on credit only got 2 searches your credits just disappear. No way to find out how many credits you have left always takes you to the buy more credits page. This service is terrible please do not use it.

FYI - I received a confirmation email from 192.com on the same day saying I will receive a proper response within 24 hours.
So 192.com did receive my querry.

Duplicated order
I inadvertently managed to order the same background report twice. I noticed straight away and only opened one of them. I requested a refund for the duplicate and received an email within 5 minutes saying that the refund had been processed.

I have just spent £20 on credits
I have just spent £20 on credits. All credits used to view one item, with no information on it.
I understand you take a risk with Information not being available.. But this is a scam it has taken all my credits and I only clicked once. I will be expecting a refund very unfair.
Furthermore I have just checked once your out of credits you can search for free, but buy credits and it will take them to do the same search and not click on anything. I'm appauled!

I paid for the first time for 6 credits.I used the first
one to look at the record I wanted then continued browsing not understanding I was using up credits
as I went on for the next five I looked at as other users have found.Tried to send an email to
192 which was accepted then rejected
by their postmaster about this.Just wasted nearly £15 on getting what turned out to be the wrong address,I have had a reply today which did not address the issue.

Do not go near this company. I have written twice to this company requesting a refund. They gave me an address for a friend i was looking for that did not live and had never lived there. For that they charged me £19.14 and said they could not find anyone with my e/ mail address even though i provided them with the payment details. Scam Scam Scam

If a record isn’t shown, it means that the person(s) concerned had opted off the open electoral roll when canvassed by their local council. Our Help pages explain this in more detail before and after registering to use our services. Your account shows that you have started to use the service and also disputed the payment once it had been made.
We do advise prior to and after registering an account that we don’t offer refunds once the service starts. We have checked your account and it shows that the payment has now been refunded back for you. Thanks.
