I don't know if it's a scam, but it sure feels like it
Like others I thought this was an advice line. It was top of the google list of pensionwise advice, but after filling in my information on the website I got a call back after a couple of minutes. The call was from Rochdale (about 200 miles from my location). The 'advisor' immediately started pumping me with questions about who is my pension with, what's it worth, etc. They then started trying to persuade me to switch to their fund management so I hung up. Is it a scam? I don't know but it sure feels like it. I'm now checking everything on a daily basis to make sure nothing dodgy is going on.

Very rapid response
Very rapid response. Would have given 5 star, but their link to nearest IFA was about 200 miles away, so little chance to eyeball.
( Basically an online provider, which I could have picked up myself )

Good financial advice
James was very thorough answering questions that I had and enlightening me to answers to questions that I hadn't thought of too. I did get links to products that were applicable but in know way do I feel compelled or pressured to use them. I'm still investigating and may well invest in a product that he recommended.

thought I was speaking to Pension Wise. I wasn't!!
as with others reviewers i thought i was speaking to Pension wise and did give some personal details to Adviceme. I finally twigged and have asked that my details are removed/deleted from their database. I was assured this would be done. The person i spoke to was understanding and said that they had already had 4 other callers who had made a similar mistake. A waste of the Adviceme's time and time. And left me nervous and now very vigilant regarding my financial affairs. Overall, a poor outcome for the pensions advice industry.

Squatting on PensionWise searches on Google
This company is currently engaged in a disreputable practice of squatting on Google searches for "PensionWise". PensionWise is a government funded service that people are often advised to for free guidance on their pensions. By bidding on search terms for this search, they are trying to get vulnerable people to unwittingly book an appointment with them instead. Despicable behaviour.

Pensionwise are Only fit to keep it on Their terms & time schedule.
