The insurance company responds quickly to the Vet submissions for my pug. And they immediately confirm the receipt of the claim, by email. The claim result is also very quickly reported by email. Within a few days, the corresponding check arrives! I've had no issues.

I called AKC as I am looking for insurance for my dog. This has been a very tedious process as every insurance company's coverage is different and it is not easy to find the best one that fits your dog/breed's needs. Alison, the AKC representative, walked me through all the details, from limit/ upgrades to plan coverage/exclusions. She is very knowledgeable when I shared some of the concerns or treatments that I may potentially seek coverage for; she patiently provided all the answers I need. Alison genuinely wanted to help and loved what she does. She shared with me that she is very proud of the type of coverage AKC provides. Choosing a company that cares - both customer and pets, are important to me and I am happy to say that Alison helped me finalize my decision to go with AKC!

I always felt like paying for pet insurance was "useless" but now I see the value, and AKC makes the claim process very easy. My dog ate a sock and the diagnosis and treatment was expensive. Tahnksfully submitting a claim was easy and they responded and paid out VERY promptly. I am very grateful!

My 4.5mo old puppy was diagnosed with diabetes and in 3 short weeks thousands of dollars were spent to stabilize her. Enter claims were east and fast. AKC requested vet records and notes within 24 hours and after receiving had processed my claim and reimbursed within 48 hrs. Very satisfied with service.

My 12 week old puppy had seizers and was hospitalized. My claim is being held up because a diagnose can not be made. She weighs 3 pounds and had lung issues in the hospital. I have followed every demand they have made and jumped through every hoop but they are still not processing my claim! It is unreasonable and to put my puppy through an MRI to see IF we can get a diagnoses. I was advised not to do an MRI by the neurologist. I get claim rules but sometimes they are not attainable. It has been 2 months.Totally disappointed in AKC!!!!

Allison was amazing in helping me select the best pet insurance plan for my baby. She was patient with my gazillion questions, super friendly, and I felt I was working with a friend vs a "salesperson". Highly recommend Allison if you are exploring pet insurance options!!! Also, this pet insurance seems very comprehensive and well worth it!

We've had AKC Pet Insurance for three years since we got our dog, Baxter, in 2020. We've not had to use it until this year when we had two fairly expensive incidents (including one emergency room visit and another that required extensive testing for a fever of unknown origin) The claim process was mostly pretty smooth after an initial stumble. They requested medical records from my vet, but somehow that communication didn't reach my vet. I called Customer Service and the rep (so sorry I can't remember her name--she was amazing) said "I'll take care of it and call you back." I was dubious--what customer service rep does that?? Well, she did (take care of it AND call me back) and the claim went through without a problem. Subsequent claims likewise went through without a hitch. I was a little surprised that they did not reimburse for exams, but this is apparently common practice in pet insurance and you have to pay for additional coverage for exams to be covered. I've seen some complaints about what the insurance failed to cover, but if you do some comparison shopping, you'll see that most pet insurance does not cover wellness/preventative care, spay/neuter or exams, unless you pay extra. The basic coverage is really intended for catastrophic illness/accidents or expensive diagnostic procedures. And for us, it worked very well. I would recommend AKC Pet Insurance and give 5 stars to their customer service.

We love our AKC Insurance. Luckily we made the wise choice to buy insurance for our sweet boy when he was a tiny puppy. He is 6 now and every experience that we've had in filing claims with AKC Insurance has need excellent. Filing a claim with them is incredibly easy and we have always heard back from them within 24 hours. With the escalating costs of veterinary services, I don't know what we would do without it. I love this company and am so thankful I have insurance with them. Have a 18 month old Havanese and did not know when I got him that both of his two little front legs would begin to bend in opposite directions. He has what is called angular bone deformity and his first consultation with medical evaluation was $994.61. The reimbursement was fast. My GSP needed a MRI and Spinal tap. The AKC insurance team was patient and helpful. Grateful for the coverage to help pay for my pups procedures. Good communication and fast claims service.

My dog ended up getting a cherry eye & had to go through surgery. AKC helped tremendously with great customer service from my agent Kameron being relentless when the veterinarian hospital we went to was giving us a hard time sending in the necessary paperwork. Overall great service & amazing staff.

My husband and I started the sign-up process on a Sunday (including entering my email address), but then decided we wanted to do more research before committing. The very next day I started getting spam emails about pet insurance - not just pet-related advertising but actual spam to my personal gmail account. Would never do business with this company now.

I have multiple Dogs, Dachshunds insured by AKC one had multiple back surgeries and another was hospitalized. AKC reimbursed me for the back surgeries for one and reimbursed me for the hospitalization for the other. When buying insurance please pay attention to the additional riders; you may need to purchase more than one.

Overall a great experience.
