Arcadia is worth it.

A bit confusing to start, but after 3 months my electric bill was only $9.00. I've has some credited bills as well.
They've gotten me Involved with CHIME too. Banking made easy and safe.
Glad I joined!

Skepticism

At first I was skeptical as it seemed everyone was knocking on my door to see if I was getting some sort of solar credit on my elec. bill. I declined to let any stranger see my elec. bill. I finally decided to let an Arcadia representative check it out. After finding out I was eligible for the service I subscribed. I thought I'd get a small amount off my elec. bill like maybe $10-$12 but to my surprise I saw significant savings on my elec. bill. I don't ever plan on getting out of this program. It a great program and worth the time to see if you qualify! I hope you do!! Take advantage of the clean energy act and get Arcadia Solar. You will be glad you did! Can't speak for you but I'm very satisfied with the program! I'm sure you well be too!!

Arcadia f*ing sucks

Don't do Arcadia. The 20% savings is not worth the headache of this overbilling.

Everything was fine for the most part until I received an email of my bill of $275 for a 5-day service period, since I had moved. It turns out that a while ago, someone on their end made a mistake a over-credited my electric utility account, and now because I moved and closed the utility account, they're demanding I refund them FOR THEIR OWN MISTAKE. The call rep I contacted made it seem like it was my fault this is happening by telling me what was "supposed to happen" was Arcadia would slowly eat at the credit, but now I moved, and they are demanding payment. Well, where was the communication for that??? I have called them several times to resolve other overcharge issues, such as when they charged me for all solar energy gathered rather than the energy I actually used, and not once did they mention this mistake of theirs until they decided to put the cost on me. This mistake was also not once noted on the bill, not even on this $275 one.

Don't screw yourself over with Arcadia. They suck.

Not as good as it seems.

Long story short, just joined a few months ago and looked at my electric bill today and had $93 in credits. So far really great!

Update: I have changed my review to 3 stars. Why? I changed it because they don’t make it clear that they send you a bill for 80% of your savings and you keep 20%. Needless to say, I cancelled.

Im so tickled to belong to such a wonderful company! It took a while to get to seeing results because of snail mail and a mix up, but Im in love with Arcadia solar!!!❤️ Ive never seen a bill so low!!! I gave referrals to a few people including a few friends, next door neighbor, and took the incentive yesterday, (9/18/24) and gave it to my grade school, John Jacob Astor in North Portland, Oregon. I have family in California but you are still working on it there,... Fresno is a sunny place!!! Thank you SO VERY MUCH!!! I will continue to give referrals to whomever I see, just took it to a business where their industry uses a LOT of electricity,... Medical marijuana grow rooms!!! I hope they qualify!!! ❤️Thanks again!!! 10 🌟's 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 😘

Arcadia ripped us off

Have you heard anything about Arcadia Power more than doubling customer bills due to a 'technical error' in the last couple of months?

I just spoke with someone there because my power bill jumped massively:
$280 - (935kWh) June (about average for the summer)
$528 - (1086kWh) mid-July
$773 - (1257kWh) mid-August

Our rate per kilowatt hour more than doubled in less than two months. What!? is that legal!?

During that time period our usage did increase as you can see but not nearly as much as the price increase. In July, I thought well that's a huge bill but it has been a hot summer and we've been running the AC hard. Then when I got the August bill and noted our actual usage I realized there was a problem.

I first called Eversource and the agent mentioned they had had some other calls from Arcadia customers so it seems this is not a one-off incident.

When I called, I was put on hold for 5 minutes and the agent immediately lowered the August bill to $375 and promised to work with the billing department to lower the mid-July bill as well which said he could not do since it was already (auto) paid. He explained to me that the reason for the error was that "the solar farm overproduced." Huh!?

To me what's more galling and at best unethical and at worst... I don't know is that the bill snapshot emailed to me on August 11 claimed that our Eversource NSTAR bill was $859.51 and that Arcadia was saving us $85.95. In truth when I downloaded from my Arcadia online account the Everstar bill it was $416.85.

My July bill from everstar was also about $175 less than what Arcadia charged.

I asked the agent why I had to call to learn about and correct this error and he had nothing to say. I asked to speak to a supervisor who is supposed to call within 24 hours.

I wonder how many others have been getting ripped off without even realizing they've done absolutely nothing wrong.

While we had Arcadia

While we had Arcadia, our rates were lower. We never were 100% solar power. Recently we were told that our supplier, ComEd, would be our provider because there was not a solar farm available in our area. We were disappointed.

The rep is so friendly

The rep is so friendly, and since I joined it's so enjoyable, unbelievable my bill last month was $14 after
deduction of the community solar, it's a WOW!! .

When will I be on solar?

When I signed up for the plan several years ago, I was told by my salesperson I would be on solar immediately. I am still not on solar.

Arcadia salespeople are misinformed or are being disengenous to make sales. On several occasions, even after I signed up, salespeople showed up trying to get me to join.

They are telling people they are going onto solar immediately. They were surprised when I told them I was not yet on solar.

Bunch of self-serving scum

A door to door representative dropped by and told me about the program. When I informed him that I had a past due balance with my utility company, he lied and said "no problem at all"... a couple weeks later I talk to a phone representative about setting up auto-pay, and they told me that my past due balance would have to be dealt with, before I could enroll in the programs benefits. Last week they pulled money from my bank account, 2 weeks before the bill was due, which threw off my financial plan for the month... I called and asked what was going on, and the phone representative said even though I couldn't recieve the benefits of the plan, due to my past balance, they still used autopay to pull funds to pay my bill. I asked that they halt the process and return the fund, as it was putting me in a bad spot finacially, that I would "bounce checks" and get hit with late fees. They said they would contact billing and let them know the situation and see if they could return the funds, and that I should have a response within 48 hrs. I recieved no communication from them after 2 business days, so the 3rd day I called to see what was going on. The representative, not the same as the first phone rep, told me the first phone rep. might not have understood company policy, but they couldn't return my money because it was already submitted to the utility company. I complained, the representative didn't care and gave me some more BS about policies of their company and my account with them, as a child cooed and cried in the background. When I told the I was prepared to close my account, they basically acted like, "no big deal, go ahead". So I did. This company probably just uses our information to pad their numbers, so they scum in charge can fatten their wallets with government funding that is going towards their program, based on usage. The "little guy" is still getting the short end, while the rich greedily drain us of all we have. For more of the truth, check out the Better Business Bureau's site, over 170 more complaints there.
