I lost my downsyndrome son 8 July 2022…
I lost my downsyndrome son 8 July 2022 due to multiple organ failure. He had a life long battle and for 2 years Zane and his team went out of there way to assist and go beyond. After my son passed away he even wrote a letter and did a final review. Zane is truly dedicated in his work with such a warm and kind loving heart. I will always remember what he and BackaBuddy meant for us and did for us.

Transparent payments system
I love the transparency of how BackaBuddy is willing to administer all payments straight from their Nedbank account into my dog Kerneelz's veterinary physiotherapist and veterinary acupuncturist's accounts. This is absolutely critical as I would only do a fundraiser for Kerneelz with a platform that makes all payments on my behalf than to my account. As South Africa's largest donations-based crowdfunding platform for individuals and charities, R390 million raised in total thus far.

Definitely not an "NPO"…
This "NPO" takes so much money from donations it shouldn't be called not for profit. Double charges on fees from donor and the recipient!!

In order to remain sustainable, BackaBuddy retains a 7% administration fee on all funds raised through the platform. Donors are given the opportunity to cover this fee. Payment gateways charge their fees separate from BackaBuddy.
