Setting up the eSim was super easy. Support from Balisim always replied quickly (<10 min) when anything was unclear.
Connection and internet speed could be better in some areas (reason for only 4 Stars). Everything else is perfect.

We are sincerely sorry for the frustrating start to your trip! We completely understand how receiving a flood of messages can be overwhelming when you’ve just landed.
To clarify, those SMS are automated system notifications from the network provider (Telkomsel) regarding your mandatory government registration and local welcome info. While we don't have control over these carrier-sent messages, we agree that 30 in a row is far too many!
Regarding the activation, we aim for a 'one-click' experience, but since Indonesian law requires manual IMEI registration, it can sometimes feel more complex than in other countries. We’d love to learn more about where you got stuck so we can simplify our guides. Thank you for your honest feedback, and we wish you a better experience ahead.

More data was used than should have.
I was getting data warnings and was worried I was close to my limit. But after speaking to the company they assured me I was well within my limit.

The data did not work fast for GoPay
The data did not work fast for GoPay. I had to use my delivery riders hotspot, he also uses Telekomsel but his data worked very fast. SO that was a bit disaapointing

We are very sorry for the frustration! It’s definitely disappointing when you can’t get your GoPay to load quickly, especially when you see someone else on the same network having no issues.
While we use the Telkomsel network, sometimes an eSIM needs a quick 'Network Settings Reset' or a specific APN update on your device to match the local speeds. If your phone is stuck on a roaming band or an older setting, it can cause exactly the lag you experienced.
We would love to have our WhatsApp support check your settings to ensure you're getting the full speed you're paying for. Please reach out to us so we can make this right for the rest of your trip!

Everything was fine but they have much formalities, I was literally stuck at Bali airport without internet/network because of one stupid screenshot which they did not check on time!
Thanks to airport wifi, I managed to sort it and got it activated!
Imagine if you would have landed on their non working hours, it would have been chaos!

To help future travelers avoid this, we’d like to mention that the 'formalities' are actually required by Indonesian law for phone registration. Because these must be manually verified, we always encourage guests to submit their screenshots a day or two before flying. This gives us time to catch any errors and ensures your data is waiting for you the second you land!
