Took delivery of the mattress a week today, June 29th. Waking up every morning with bad lower back pain ever since.

No instructions were supplied with it, but I remembered that the staff at the shop told me it needed to be rotated ( not flipped) weekly. Just done that and found the instruction pamphlet underneath the mattress. I had been sleeping on it for a week.

Read them and it clearly states that you need two people to rotate the mattress, lifting it from the underside as flat as possible, as bending the mattress will break glue bonds and dislodge internal fixings. I live alone. At no point was this explained to me before ordering the mattress.

It is physically impossible for me ( or anyone else living alone) to rotate the mattress weekly without bending it. The pamphlet states that claims will be refused if there is evidence of bending the mattress. But it also says claims will be refused where lack of rotation is evident.

So what am I supposed to do? I either rotate it by myself and bend it, or I don’t rotate it….both of which will result in a claim refusal!

I also clearly stated that I had a pine bed with a slatted base. Again, at no point was it explained to me that slatted bases would give a lower level of support. Hence maybe the reason I am waking up in pain every morning.

Had I have been told about both these things, I would never have ordered this particular mattress.

The experience at the store in Llandudno was excellent . Jason the salesman was excellent . With a few days before delivery I needed to check how the headboard would be attached. Jason obliged and I gained some insight and confidence.
However the delivery was not good. I needed to see the contents of the very big box . The delivery man would not open the box and left . It was a struggle for us to open the box and a bigger struggle to fix it to the bed studs. My wife and I are in our 80’s .

Informative staff helped us to choose the right mattress, giving us time to try out different ones. Delivery was as planned, on time and very efficient and friendly

Everything about my experience was great, fr9m walking into the shop, to the guys installing the bed was 1st class. Didn't feel pressured to buy, was given the advice l needed to make the right decision, l was able to pay off the bed in installments, which helped spread thr cost, or l may not have been able to purchase the bed l really wanted. The 2 guys who came to install the bed were very professional and explained the different features with my bed.
I would highly recommend anyone to visit Benson for beds when looking to change any bedroom furniture.

We went into Bensons knowing the type of bed we wanted. Victoria showed us all that were available and explained the differences between them. We were given information on the costs of extra services and to help us make our decision. After checking out other retailers we rushed back to Bensons to place our order. Very happy that we made the right choice.

The salesman listened to what we wanted out of a new bed and when we wanted it delivered.
He sorted out the most relevant bed and mattress and arranged the build and delivery for just when we needed it.
The bed and mattress were delivered when promised, early in the morning. This gave me all day to assemble and dress it, ready for our guest, who later commented that it was very comfortable and she slept well on it.

Great customer service and updates throughout. Steph in the Llandudno store was great and couldn’t have helped more. The delivery drivers were also great. The mattress is a massive improvement and can already feel the difference in our backs
