I came onto the course with a clear objective - to get an agent.

The programme finishes with a showcase in front of industry professionals, and within a week of that, I had meetings with two agents. I signed with one straight away, and the next day I had my first self-tape audition.

So in terms of outcome, it delivered exactly what I came for.

Looking back at the year, the training builds properly from the ground up. You start with the fundamentals - relaxation, emotional work, scene work, understanding character - and then layer more advanced techniques on top of that.

What I found was that over time, you stop relying on being guided through it. At the beginning, you need that structure. But as you progress, something shifts and you start to trust that you can do it yourself.

That was important for me. You don’t leave dependent on a teacher. You leave knowing how to work.

There’s also a shift in mindset. Confidence comes from understanding what you’re doing, not from trying to feel confident. By the end, I had a certainty in my ability that wasn’t there before.

The training itself is excellent, building strong acting fundamentals step by step and giving you real confidence in your ability. But beyond that, it also teaches the business side of acting and, importantly, the mindset needed to succeed.

Over the year, I became much more confident in myself as an actor. The sense of imposter syndrome dropped away. I understand what my role is now and what it takes to work professionally.

I’m on Spotlight, I’ve had strong conversations with agents, and I’ve now signed with an agent. But more importantly, I know what I’m doing and what I need to keep working on.

There were also changes outside of acting. You start observing people differently - properly noticing behaviour, detail, how people move and respond. And personally, I’ve become more open. I don’t hold everything at the same level anymore. I allow myself to feel more, which feeds directly into the work.

By the end of the course, you have a solid foundation. 

I’d always wanted to get into acting but never really knew how - until I found the Ultimate Acting Programme.

After taking the leap, it’s been an amazing journey. The training is thorough, covering everything from character work to film, TV, and stage, all leading up to a fantastic showcase in front of agents. I also signed with an agent from the showcase.

One of the biggest changes for me has been how much calmer and more relaxed I’ve become, which my family has definitely noticed. I’m now doing something I truly love, and I’m happier than I’ve been in a long time.

I attended the three-day essential method acting skills boot camp with Brian and it was an incredibly enriching experience. I learned a lot about the method acting, but also about myself as a person and as an actor.

From the very first two hours, we were already applying what we had learned in practice. The workshop was engaging from start to finish, and every day was exciting and inspiring. Brian gives individual feedback to each actor and explains things in a very clear, simple, and accessible way, which makes it easy to understand and immediately put into practice.

I can wholeheartedly recommend this course to anyone who wants to deepen their acting skills and grow both professionally and personally.

The boot camp weekend proved to be both instructive and revealing. Contrary to my initial expectation that the cohort would be predominantly young, the group was notably diverse, encompassing a wide range of ages, experiences, and backgrounds, which contributed positively to the overall dynamic.

Brian demonstrates a high level of mastery in his discipline. Although his outward manner is calm and courteous, it is clear that his methodology is emotionally rigorous and intentionally challenging, with the potential to push participants well beyond familiar territory. This depth of approach is, in my view, one of the programme’s key strengths, and what I require.

The Boot Camp was a genuinely eye-opening experience for me.

What stood out immediately was the seriousness of the work and the depth of attention given to truthful, instinctive behaviour. The focus on listening, presence and responding honestly in the moment cut through a lot of the noise I’ve experienced elsewhere and brought me back to something very simple and very real.

Brian’s teaching is rigorous but generous. There’s a clarity to the way the work is structured that allows you to take real risks quickly, while still feeling supported. The exercises — particularly the Etudes and Mask work — were challenging, psychologically engaging, and unexpectedly freeing. I found myself more present and connected in the work than I have been for a long time.

What I also appreciated was the environment: serious, focused, but warm. The group dynamic felt safe and encouraging, and the standard of engagement from both teachers and students was high throughout.

I left the course feeling both energised and thoughtful — with a clearer sense of what truthful acting can be, and a strong desire to keep working in this way.

I recently attended the Brian Timoney boot camp and found the whole experience to best the best course I have been on. Brian’s experience and passion for method acting comes through in the way he teaches, he understands both the method and the person who he is teaching. I quickly came to understand some of the barriers that was holding me back, however Brian was able to see these and started to break them down. I have been on previous courses else where and only learnt a fraction of what I learnt on the Brian Timoney Boot Camp. I have just completed the Ultimate Acting Programme and what an experience it was! This is the first month in a year I have not returned to the studio and a part of me wishes I could rewind time and relive the experience again with the wonderful people I was fortunate to share it with.
